I called them on Easter weekend and they were about to close shop early for the holiday weekend but I caught them right before closing and they agreed to stay open just long enough for me to get there and drop off the jeans. I arrived and Mr. Imparali (their dad) stayed after just to measure my hem and then the tune around time was quick! Just a few days later we picked up the jeans and they even expedited it for us. They were comfortable, but much to my disappointment, the soles had zero traction and I was certain I'd slip and fall if I wore them out of the house. Al re-soled them for around $35 (if memory serves) during the week of Thanksgiving in 2025 in around 3 days. The soles look seamless and no one would be able to tell that they weren't the originals. They have solid traction on the ground and I am happy to report that I have not slipped once.

They have clothes, shoes, accessories, home decor, travel needs, perfume/cologne, food items, probably many other things that I don't have the patience to look for. Four stars because they have good options, but you have to be ready and willing to deal with possible chaos. Also, for what it's worth, you can't take their carts outside. They all have a giant pole sticking up that won't allow them through the doors. Sure, it means that they don't need anyone to bring carts in from outside, but it also means that if you actually have a cart full of stuff, you're either going to have to carry it all out or have someone watch your cart while you pull up to the doors. Thankfully there's usually a person near the front who probably won't mind. I will give them credit for helping my mom when she was shopping alone with my toddler. I got excited because I found some that I thought my friend might like for her grandkids, so I had three large squishies in my arms when I saw slime. It was too much for me to carry, so I put it in my Ross bag that was empty. after my friend let me know she only wanted one squishy, I put the others back and was looking at reviews for the slime. just to see if I would like it or not, the manager comes up near me and is eyeing me. looking from me to my bag and back and forth, so I call her out on it. she says the bag is meant for purchasing and to be used afterwards. so I give her the one thing in the bag and then she tells me how I have to purchase the bag as well and I let her know it's mine from ROSS. thanks I guess for bringing me the cart and blocking the check out line area, making me feel forced to rush to pay. shouldn't be assuming someone of stealing. I always go to this DD's and even brought it up to the Ross a few stores down how I was treated here. do better.

Southside Skatepark, in South Houston, has been there for ever and I didn't know it. I was not a skater, I was doing group sports learning to play nice, learning to be a team player, and learning to lose gracefully. A load of crap. Individual sports is where it's at. Teach them individualism, to work hard for what they want. My daughter is a lady and she is learning to skate like a boss. She falls and she gets back up to try, try, and try again. Don't worry she also is learning all the other stuff on hear roller derby team. We enjoy many skate parks, but because of the proximity of this one to our home it's a winner. Indoors too, rain or shine she can skate. Plus they have a shop to buy our skating needs. She just got her first real board and they fixed it up for her. It is an expensive sport. She's costing me way more on a monthly basis then her brothers cost several years of playing sports on city teams. She is usually the only girl here, I thought that would make her uncomfortable but most of the guys give her tips. Love her new skate friends!
