Maria's is a cute spot in a good location, but their pizza is a slightly cheaper version of Rosati's. Their crust is thick, rigid and flavorless, they put a lot of cheese and toppings, but the pizza sauce is sweet and one note. I might go back and try their other items, but as far as pizza goes -- it's a big no thanks for me. If I want to spend a lot on pizza, I'd rather get one from Casey's. read more

This is the best encapsulated veggie pizza! I added giardinara on it and wow. The pile of veggies was like 1 inch and they managed to stay on the slice. Flavorful and well worth it for sure. Delivery was pretty quick even though they were busy. The delivery girl was super nice too! It's a small store, and I have never dined in there. He had chicken bbq pizza. The sauce on my fingers was good. Lol. The only downside is the outer crust. It's hard , but the birds will like it!! read more

The cheese on the cheese pizza is thick and hard to chew, when I got home I threw up 2 times. The pizza took around 20 minutes to get to the table their menu says a certain amount of sodas and they had different ones on the menu. read more

I've lived in the area for 41 years and this is one of my favorite pizza places. They got the sweet sauce with that NY style dough and a perfect balance of soft and crispy crust. And, everytime I order they say 20-25mins for pickup, and that is exactly when it is done! Highly recommended! read more

Ordered delivery from here at approximately 5:30pm on Saturday September 2, 2017. They provided estimate of one hour for the food to arrive. It arrived in just under an hour. Here is what we ordered for our family of four: -2 small spaghetti's -Large supreme pizza -Medium cheese bread Delivery driver was extremely friendly! Food was really good. The small spaghetti's were a lot of food! The containers were packed full! Each spaghetti came with a little loaf of bread. While I did not eat the spaghetti my kids really loved it. The cheese bread was excellent and so was the dipping sauce it came with. The cheese bread was thick with bread and cheese. The supreme pizza was really good. It was heavy with cheese which I really enjoyed. The toppings were embedded in the cheese. My wife would have preferred less mushrooms, but I was ok with the amount. I generally like extra sauce and I felt this pizza had more sauce than most places which pleased me. The food was extremely filling due to amount of cheese and overall thick toppings. I would definitely eat here again. Not the best pizza I've ever had, but a good option. read more

I love Maria's. I'm from the burbs but love to eat at this place when in Peru. Always got to get myself some cheese sticks. When you get a pizza you can feel the heaviness of the box to know they don't skimp. Prices are out of this world. This is my go to pizza place. I wish they had one close to me. read more

Catching up on some of my reviews... Every Sunday we order an extra large half pickle pizza and half sausage and pepperoni. 10/10 We get our pizza with their amazing garlic sauce instead of their red sauce. Their red sauce is great too, but we just absolutely LOVE the garlic. Oh man, almost forgot to rate their spaghetti pizza that we also order once in a while. One of a kind. It's deep dish, loaded with spaghetti and their pizza crust is to die for. If you're like me you die a little bit inside when you eat fire food! 10/10 If your a cheese fan then don't forget to add that Parmesan!! Maria's was unprofessional. My call was met with rudeness and disrespect. I ordered at 7:23 was given a "ready in 20 mins" quoted under $14. showed up at 8pm to find they'd over cooked it because THEY WERE TOO BUSY EATING AND LICKING THEIR FINGERS TO TAKE CARE OF FOOD. And had the nerve to up a dollar when I had to wait longer. I was still polite and was told "itll be a FEW MINUTES. " that turned into 17 minutes. The food came out with very little sauce and WAAAYYYY too much cheese. The order was a simple sausage and pep. I posted immediately a no recommendation on facebook after waiting 55 minutes for a bad pizza. The woman cooking was a straight snobby person. And possibly the same person lying on FB claiming they made the first pizza in twenty as the same as the second. And that my taste was simply my opinion. Rather than acknowledging the rudeness, disrespect, eating and touching customer food, and misquoting, as well as slow service. I took screenshots of the chat. I personally don't recommend a crappy disrespectful place. It was ludicrous and deplorable. Please reconsider pizza. read more

We ordered a medium supreme for delivery. Super nice staff on the phone. Very helpful and personable. Delivery time was supposed to be 1 hour. It was at our door in half the time. Hot, delicious chocked full of yummy toppings and topped with a generous amount of cheese. Sauce was very good. Top notch pizza. Would highly recommend. read more

We order from this place almost every Sunday Evening. I love the crispy thin crust.. We always ask for extra crispy and the sweetness of the sauce are the perfect base for your choice of toppings. Ask for Peppers & Spicy Pepper Flakes and they hook you up. We have tried the Pastas and Spaghetti and Meatballs are so good. Served with bread but worth the small charge for Garlic Bread .. The Garlic Bread with Cheese .. Even better ! When I'm on a low carb kick the "Chef Salad" is Italian Deli, Cheese and Olives.. The large salad is under $5. My local favorite .. What do you expect when you order a chicken parmesan sandwich? A chicken breast, cheese, and marinara, right? I ordered one from here on Friday, and I got diced chicken tossed with marinara. We had had a hankering for their delicious marinara and were hoping to try their meatball pizza. We called in to place our order and received their answering machine. The recording stated that their hours are "11:00 A.M. until 11:00 P.M, 7 days a week". LIES. The time is presently 9:47 and despite 9 contiguous calls since 9:28, I have yet to receive an answer. Maria's Pizza in Peru was managed in the past by someone whom did not do a very good job, as many customer complained to the owner. He has since been releaved of his duties and no longer is affiliated with Maria's Pizza. The owner is running the business once again. He is friendly, looks out for the customers, and puts out good products. The quality of the pizza's is top notch. He uses not one, put two different cheese toppings making for a great blend. The italian beef sandwich is big and teasty. You won't be dissatified dining at Maria's Pizza in down town Peru. I'm heading there again now for great food. We always get our money's worth every time we eat there. It is a clean establishment with Great service. I recomend it to every family in the area. read more

the pizza is pretty good. we like the sauce it's a little sweeter which I like at least but the ham n cheese sub sandwich was ridiculous. it had maybe 6 slices of deli ham on it and about half inch on cheese on it. had to cut off half of the bread to eat the sandwich. my advice don't order the ham n cheese but the Italian beef is OK nothing special but papa Charlies out if the frozen section. the meatball sub is actually decent. and so is the Italian sausage. read more
