He took great care of my daughter in her first two years of life. She always finds something entertaining in the waiting area, whether it was the TV or the giant fish tank. By the time our second daughter was born, we had moved to a new neighborhood so we switched to a practice that was closer to home. Otherwise, it was a 20-minute drive to Seven Corners. If you live in or near Seven Corners, I highly recommend Dr. Nguyen!

My 2 year old is highly afraid of Shots AND doctors, but Dr. Lamson was able to entertain the little guy enough where he allowed him to pull his pant leg up so that he could administer the vaccine on his thigh, he cried a bit, but after that, he wanted Dr. Lamson to play with him. My 4 year old, on the other hand, loved how Dr. Lamson installed a video game system in the waiting lobby and he also enjoyed the decorations that were put up in the patient room. He asked me if he could come here for his future wellness visits and we just might schedule both of their wellness visits here and just leave emergency and sick visits for our local pediatrics!

We first visited Metropolitan Pediatrics when I was pregnant as we needed a pediatrician right away…read moredue to the impending birth of our son. After visiting one other office, we felt most comfortable with Metropolitan Pediatrics. 1. Our first meeting was 1:1 with a doctor as opposed to a meet and greet. We were able to get a personalized experience and get to know their values as well. 2. They do not allow patients that do not follow the CDC guidelines for vaccines. Whatever other people think, we wanted our son vaccinated per CDC guidelines and did not want the possibility of him being near kiddos who are not on the same schedule. 3. Saturday hours!!! 4. Dr. Schultz is the main provider we have seen. We also saw Dr. Ghandi once. All experiences have been amazing! I love how Dr. Schultz is with our son-very caring and gentle. Also worth mentioning Dr. Ghandi was extremely helpful with a billing question we had. 5. Anytime we have called in with a question, no matter how small, the staff is super quick at getting back to us with an answer from the doctor. 6. All staff interaction from the front desk to the medical assistants has been pleasant. 7. The location is metro accessible (Virginia Square) and has street parking that is pretty easy to snag. 8. The only negative (and it's not the practices fault) is that we had one experience where a younger (maybe 5) boy was very much in our infants face and stroller and knocking into it trying to see the fish and this kids mom was clueless on the other (sick kid) side. We tried to say something to the boy but English was not his language so he didn't understand us and when we went to the other side to ask who's kid this was we got a blank stare until the child finally went back to his mother. Overall, we are very happy with Metropolitan Pediatrics and will continue to use them-specifically Dr. Schultz, in the future.

Everyone has also been SO HELPFUL throughout us navigating being new parents and then being new parents of two. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking for a pediatrician. Also, a HUGE shoutout to Amber. She is so friendly and patient - she helped me navigate through issues with my insurance and was a delight throughout the whole experience. 10/10 would recommend!

it has only been three months but i love this practice!…read more i toured three, maybe four, offices before i decided that this one was the one for me. it was the last one i visited and happened to be the closest to my home. dr. ulen was the one who gave us the presentation and the doctor who we have seen the most. she is great and we feel very comfortable with her. everyone has been really nice and helpful. it feels like family in there. our appointments have run very much on time. i have used a lot of their services including the after hour nurse line (eek!), met with their lactation consultant, and consulted with their GI nurse specialist. i love that they have long hours and weekend hours. this practice is pro-vaccination (to each their own and i will leave it at that). they have electronic medical records that you can access on your own. we had our one month appointment with dr. schwartz right before his retirement. he is such a sweet man and i wish there were more people on earth like him. he collects beanie babies to give out to the kiddos!

We were told by the PA her ears looked fine. 3-4 days later, her symptoms worsened, so we went to urgent care. The doctor there was unable to see her eardrums clearly because of significant earwax (!!!) and questioned how they could have been adequately examined without first removing the wax... then she was diagnosed with an ear infection. While I understand that illnesses can change over time, this experience made me question the thoroughness of the initial exam and left me with concerns about the quality of care. I hope this feedback encourages more careful evaluations when visibility is limited. Will give 2 stars because we do love the rest of the team there.
