Not worth it for a city course. No senior or military discount. Slow play and people don't fix their ball marks.

He's played the par 3 a number of times and hit the driving range as well, so was excited to play his first 9 holes. We lined up on the first tee, and the starter came over to talk to us. He appeared friendly and was excited by my cousin's old wooden clubs. He said he was looking forward to hearing the sound it makes when he hits it. He talked to us for a good 5 minutes, saying to enjoy the course and it was pretty open. He implied there wasn't much rush (especially with how chatty he was). We both teed off and my cousin hit his first shot into the tree, but it popped out in the middle of the fairway. The second shot also hit a tree. We weren't delaying and walking right to our next shot - normal play. Before my cousin could take his third shot, he heard the starter charging towards him. He yelled at him that he could tell he was a beginner and was playing super slowly. He told him he had to pick up his ball and move to the next hole and play way faster or leave and go back to the par 3. I offered to let the group behind us play through to try and be accommodating, but the starter didn't allow that. When I booked the tee time at 9pm the night before, just about every tee time was still available and we didn't see other out on the course, it wasn't busy. While we weren't playing speed golf, we had spent less than 10 minutes on the home before being approached to hurry it up. We agreed to leave and I told the starter I had never been rushed on a course after 2 shots. It was incredibly disappointing that he couldn't be more accommodating of a beginner trying to play his first nine holes when the course wasn't busy. He could have helped someone take to the game of golf, but instead he insulted him for trying to learn. I felt horrible as my cousin kept apologizing for being slow and getting us kicked off the course, but it clearly wasn't his fault. The starter really should be ashamed of how he acted and the course should be more supportive of new players

The space is built around high-tech indoor golf simulators that track every swing and let you play famous courses while still being inside a lively sports-bar style atmosphere with food, drinks, and big screens everywhere. Even just walking past it, the energy in the room looked great and people seemed to be having a BLAST... I didn't stay because I was by myself, but it definitely struck me as the kind of place that would be a lot of fun with friends. At least it would be great with friends who like to do FUN things ( rephrased ) I would like to try this place with a friend or friends that love golf .. like I do.

On a Monday afternoon the variable pricing wasn't too bad. They charge per hour per bay, not by the person. There is a golf pro (not available on Mondays) who uses all the technology to fix your swing. Very high tech with motion sensor patches and video comparisons to pro golfers. There are 6 golfing bays, and I don't recommend more than 4 people per bay or you could wait slot in between strokes. If you are waiting they have a free (but small) putting area (totally flat). There is also a free ping pong table, and free. shuffleboard table. They have an excellent fully stocked bar. The bartenders and servers are very attentive and you won't be without a full glass very long. Happy hour is 3p-6p and 9p-close on weekdays and all day Sunday. They make some good (menu looks good) and will allow neighboring Bad Daddy Burgers and Smokin Fins to deliver/order in. It's very clean and well run. I'll be back!!!

Towards the end we figured we'd like to play some more holes, and considering their website adjusted us to play 18, we decided to play more. Long story short, I got chewed out by the course manager who claimed his pro shop employees are honest and know who has 9 vs. 18 holes. While I don't doubt the honesty of his employees, their website system and online interface messed up big time, which created a sloppy mess for my family and I. I grew up playing golf at the Mad Russian, it's a beautiful and nostalgic course. However I was saddened by the lack of professionalism by the course manager and his online tee time system. I hope when I return home to play, they will have a better system. Otherwise it's off to Bella Ridge.

I've witnessed the change of management and seen the struggle with the changes that have to come. They changed the driving range to turf which sucks to hit off no real experience. The prices have been jacked up a lot. A couple weeks ago I went to a couple different courses with cheap driving range prices and respectable prices for a quick 9 hole with a cart. But when you and your whole family pays around $50 for 9 is a little insane. The years I've played here and realized how expensive it's got. I might as well go play Bella ridge right down the road and they don't even have a driving range. Then when I'm playing the ranger is telling me and my family we were way behind but yet I don't think I've played golf on a rushed playing field. I shot around a 40 and a couple family members near that mark too. We also had an interaction with the owner of the course, he seemed friendly but also a little rude and off playing with people a lot older and probably had a few too many. When you try to persuade people with new carts with screen. You should probably focus on fixing your tee box's and the bunkers being harder than any bucket I've played in almost as bad as Bella Rosa and yet that might be better than mad Russian as a whole. I don't think I'll be coming back soon unless they lower the prices to something reasonable.
