Play here for the first time after reading, rave, reviews, and hearing about all the hype about how good it is, but I have to say I was somewhat disappointed. The course itself was nice, in good condition, the greens were fast, but they were honest I enjoy trying to learn to put them. It actually played easier than I thought it would. I thought it was going to be punishingly horrible with all the water, but it was not. It was very enjoyable, but it's definitely overpriced for what you get. The worst part was the service and the food at noon. They had no sandwiches prepared. They didn't even have hotdog ready at the turn, extremely disappointed in the Services part of the facility. read more

Enjoyed the course. The conditions were very nice. The greens ran true and the fairways were pretty good. Couple tee boxes needed some additional TLC. Practice range could use some improvement. From the tips, the course gave challenges. Well placed traps kept you on your toes. Water views were nice. VERY STRANGE...........no sinks in the bathrooms on the course. Obviously had water & sewer, throw in a sink please. People were very nice. There was no starter, so you just go to #1 at your time and hope it's right. Played Pelican Lakes today (Lakes course)...I will say, the course is in great shape. That's the only nice thing I can say. First, too expensive for what you get. Second, no scorecards...what they give you is printed on computer paper. Very cheap! Third, no yardage books. Fourth, employees in pro shop weren't friendly or helpful. But they weren't rude either. Just like they were all having bad days. Maybe upper management isn't friendly. They looked unhappy. Fifth, no ball washers on course, very few water coolers and garbage cans. Sixth, bathrooms on course were not clean! You CLEARLY won't get your money's worth. Try Highland Meadows instead. Same cost, much better course. read more

We ordered a huge Ribeye which was huge. It was nothing but gristle and fat. About 4 bites of meat. Their sides were good. Absolutely horrible place to eat if you are going for steak. Both restaurants at this place are dirty. Silverware smells like a dirty rag and food is sub par. The cushions on the patio chairs are filthy, should have been replaced long ago. The golf course is great but skip the food in either restaurant for sure. read more

Worst golf experience ever! Got stuck behind a family of 6 players- two walking, sharing clubs and a baby running around the green. They must have jumped on hole #10 and we waited behind them for the next 9 holes. Ridiculous for what we paid to play this course. The first 9 holes we were stuck by 3 guys who played super slow and disrespectful. No masks were worn by anyone in the pro shop. The bar was packed with people raging - no masks, large groups. Kudos to the developers of this fabulous property! We attended a fabulous wedding reception on Wedding Island. Located in Windsor, it's fantastic for a private wedding and reception. Golf course, private wedding setting, Pelican Island pontoon boat rides.. it's just magical, sandy beach atmosphere. We loved the venue!! read more

We had a great group event for EWGA at Pelican Lakes. What a fun facility. The Sands Bar is awesome. Pelican Lakes is the only golf course in Colorado to have the new Golf Boards! It may take an extra 25 minutes to watch the video and sign the waivers and take a quick training session but its well worth the time. I had the most fun ever on a golf course using the Golf Board and my game was awesome. It uses core strength so all the muscles are fired and ready to hit that long drive. They can be driven any where in the fairways or up near the green. What a fast and fun way to play golf! I'm headed back up with a couple of friends to do it again in a couple of weeks. read more

We used to love going to this club, beautiful course and good food. However, they are not practicing social distancing at all- to a shocking degree. The young service staff is friendly, but wears masks under their chins even while carrying food, chef was walking around outside without a mask on in full view of patrons, customers congregate in groups and at the bar, customers are not encouraged to wear masks outside of their tables, did not see full sanitation of tables. It is so frustrating and makes you sad that their is so little regard for their clientele. I know this isn't easy for restaurants, or any of us, but when there is such a blatant disregard for the rules in place it makes you wonder where else are they cutting corners? Hoping they get their act back together, we really enjoyed coming here prior to this and would love to give them our business again. read more

Our daughter just married on the island of Pelican Lakes Golf club in Windsor! What a beautiful venue right by the water. Beach was manicured and gorgeous - not too much sand in our shoes! Thank you to Shannon and staff for having everything we needed there! Food was delicious and tender meat...healthy choices like brussel sprouts and caesar salad. I think the serving size of the salad could have been more generous but everything else was excellent! I highly recommend this venue for weddings, events, family reunions! read more

Just got through playing nine holes for around 60 dollars. after the ninth hole I ended up getting lost trying to return to the country club. Then I had the police called on me because I was lost. This was so embarrassing as the cops harassed me in front of the whole golf club area. I can't believe how I was treated here. read more

I play a great deal of golf in Northern Colorado but have not played the coarse in several years. It is an exceptional course as far as layout and challenge. Played 9/10/2017 and found the fairways on the front nine in terrible condition; ground under repair, mud and almost unplayable. The back nine was in better shape. Given the $69 green fees we felt it was WAY over priced given the condition. The staff was cordial but we never saw the cart girl on the back nine. You can play several other courses for half the price within 10 miles. Won't be back. The rating above is for the golf course only, we did not use any of the club house facilities. read more

I've found Pelican Lakes 27 holes to be a nice day on the course. It is in good shape, plays at a good pace, and meets expectations for the price. It's challenging from the back tees, but reasonable for those just out for fun from the forward tees. read more
