I had a great experience with Dr. Kim and her staff. I had not been to the dentist in a very long time and she made me feel at ease. She cleaned my teeth and let me know that I needed a couple of fillings. During the procedure she was gentle and patient. Not to mention she has excellent taste in shoes and decor :). I have been seeing Dr. Kim for the past several months now. Initially, I was a little bit nervous about seeing a dentist during COVID. But, Dr. Kim's office is very professional, communicative, and conscientious about COVID precautions. They have videos on COVID safety precautions prior to your visit so that you know what changes to expect, they have set up one-way walking paths throughout the office, they have an air purifier in the waiting area, and they take your temperature prior to entering. I am currently undergoing Invisalign treatment and Dr. Kim and her staff, especially Irma, have gone above and beyond in making me feel comfortable throughout the whole process. Dr. Kim is so knowledgeable and she will always give you her honest opinion. After I first got my Invisalign put in, Dr. Kim even called me personally later that night to see how I was feeling and to check up on me. I am so grateful to have met her and her team! I've only been to Maria's Dental office once due to some horrid experience I had at "Sunshine Dental" El Monte with the charges and "hole in the wall appearance" they had at that office. But when I was at Maria's office the staff were great! The receptionist was very on point and gave me that cost of procedures before my upcoming visits so I was ready and knowledgeable of my finances. :D Maria is a very nice, talkative, and down to earth dentist. She does exceptionally well service in teeth cleaning, they even start flossing your teeth before the cleaning. and you leave with a goody bag of toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss. No hassle at this office, they usually fit you in an appointment really quickly. Sad I had to leave, I changed delta insurances and could no longer come to this office as an HMO, but they didn't give me any hassle or pressure. I STRONGLY reccomend this dentist, because I assure you that you will not find another dentist. And I can assure you that this dentist will not rip you off like most do. read more

The waiting area is inviting and the entire place is clean without feeling antiseptic, which helps me feel less anxious. I haven't went to the dentist in years and I was certain that my teeth and gums were in extremely horrible condition.. but after meeting with Dr. Kim I feel a lot more at ease. Her and her team are very welcoming and very nice. Most importantly she is knowledgeable, has the newest equipment, and does the latest types of procedures in-house, such as gym grafting. When told my anxiety issues she was very understanding which is appreciated. If you are paying out of pocket, like myself, be prepared to drop some money, aka walk in with insurance. Highly recommended! I hate going to the dentist as do most people. I'm extremely terrified of needles so when I have to get a shot I panic. I lucked out finding Dr. Kim. Best. Dental. Visit. Ever. Firstly, her office is so pretty - inside and out. I could have sworn she'd had it professionally Feng Shui'd but she said she did it herself. I wasn't able to do my X-rays - which I hate doing as I gag so much.. Dr. Kim, whom I hadn't met yet, must have been able to hear, called out "You can do it, Ruth!" which was so personal and encouraging. Benji, a young tech with calming energy took over and actually managed to x-ray all my teeth in a way that wasn't traumatic for me. For me, it was miraculous. All gaggers should get x-rays from him! Shame there isn't a category for this on Yelp :) Dr. Kim was so lovely and personable. I warmed to her immediately. I had been going to a periodontist for cleanings. He said I needed a filling -just from eyeballing my mouth (That sounds weird, I know :)). Dr. Kim examined me and said I didn't need a filling, which was welcome news as I recently left my job and am on an extremely skinny budget. Last night, I bit into a peach and my tooth felt jagged. I realized - horror of horrors - one of my four front top veneers had gotten unstuck!!! I hadn't realized that Dr. Kim could re-cement the veneer - I mistakenly thought it had to be a cosmetic dentist - and called around dentists who wanted to charge me for a full exam and X-rays (which I'd just had) and I had a bad feeling when a couple said I had to have/pay for a full exam when I told them I didn't need one and wouldn't give me a price range based on the veneer being fixable. I don't appreciate businesses that aren't fully transparent upfront. They make me nervous that I'll wait for a hour or 2 , complete forms, have me in the chair for awhile before telling you that something this simple is going to cost hundreds of dollars. In the waiting room of one of these dentists, I thought of asking Dr. Kim if she did this. She quoted me a reasonable amount (plus I remembered she hadn't done an unnecessary filling). I kicked myself about seeing anyone also. A a 45-minute wait and completing forms I cancelled and left.. I have an appointment with Dr. Kim tomorrow morning. I'm so relieved, firstly because I can't wait to not look like a character from the movie, "Deliverance" and secondly because I am anxious about $ and I literately can not afford to be gouged right now for something that should be simple. If you're on the fence, go see Dr. Kim! Whenever I listen to my gut, I don't go wrong. read more

I'm very pleased to have found Dr. Kim. She's the kind of dentist you would drive many miles for. I do not feel that she has recommended unnecessary or superfluous procedures. I have a couple of cavities that she has marked for observation, but which aren't large enough to warrant filling at this point (which would involve removal of neighboring material). Dr. Kim and her staff seem top-notch to me, head and shoulders above my previous dentist. Rosemary in the front office is terrifically cheerful and will do her best to work with your schedule and insurance. I do believe they only accept PPO dental plans though (as opposed to HMO). read more

Dr. Kim's office is personal, comfortable, and warm. It feels like a home. Gina (who took x-rays and did flossing and polishing) is amazing. I've never had x-rays without gagging until her. And I can't say enough about Dr. Kim. She knows what she is doing. She is thorough (vs. rushing you through), and gives you that individualized attention and advice.
