The fries were ok but not many of them. For breakfast the food was very basic. The menu said pancakes were served with maple syrup but it was just packages of smuckers breakfast syrup. Enjoyed my stay here but a few things made this an "OK" hotel verse a "great" one. First off my check in is stated to be at 4pm. I had been travelling since 6am so I was really eager to get into my room to decompress from the long travel day. I was told my room would not be ready until 6PM.... Why on earth would you state a 4PM check in if the room is not ready until 6PM? That is an absurdly late check-in especially since check-out is 10AM... The rooms were nice, nothing special but had all your necessities. I had a mirror light out and the staff quickly replaced it when I called. There is no housekeeping which is not ideal. The beach the hotel is on is horrid, but there is Coki beach a short walk away. It was quite on Monday, but it was filled with tourists from a cruise ship on Tuesday. Thankfully they cleared out by 3pm. The Margaritaville restaurant is trash - walk to Sun and Sea instead. read more

We came here for lunch right after checking into the resort. The waiter we had was such a dope, but I guess you can be since the tip is already included in the bill. The food was ok at best. I asked the waiter for the bill, then he went outside and took a phone call rather than give us the bill so we could get out of there. What a dope. I think his name is Bergil. This place is really unorganized. Get rid of the tip being already added to the bill and the service will instantly become better. okay so several things, first this place is pretty nice. We were able to do an early check in, which we appreciated it. The front desk workers are very nice, big shout out to johnny i believe his name was (young tall man who is very polite and helpful). The shuttle service around the resort was super helpful as well, and the shuttle driver nicely dropped off our bags at our room. The room is clean which is important, and water pressure is good. there is no beach but they offer free shuttles to Coki beach nearby which is much appreciated. Now the bad, the restaurant is honestly awful. The wait for the food will be at LEAST 30-45 minutes even if it is empty, and the food quality is way below average. They run out of food items all the time as well, like they ran out of milk at the coffee bar and tortilla chips at the restaurant. If you stay here look elsewhere for food. But overall I would return, and would rate it a 3.5 out of 5 stars. read more

This is a fun resort and within a 5 minute walking distance to Coki beach which has the best food on the island in my opinion. Both pools are beautiful! There is entertainment and something going on on the property everyday. The restaurant on the property is pretty good. They have a nice selection of food on their menu. One of my favorites is the seafood soup, it is delicious! I also really like the nachos, they will feed 4 or 5 people easily. The staff is friendly and they have a shuttle that will pick you up at your room and take you anywhere you want to go on the property. There is also a market on the property that serves good sandwiches and breakfast items. I have stayed here several times and look forward to visiting again. read more

We were staying at Point Pleasant Resort, which is a short walk from the Margaritaville in St. Thomas. Even though we were not staying at their resort, we were able to eat at their restaurant, walk the grounds, and enjoy their coffee shop. The pool area was off-limits without a wristband, and the wi-fi was only available if you had a room number. At the restaurant, for their happy hour, they offer buy one, get one drinks. I recommend their Havana Banana drink, which has rum, creme de banana, Bailey's irish cream, and pina colada mix. We ate dinner their twice. One time, we had their volcano nachos, which were absolutely delicious. My husband and I shared them and still had left overs. The next night, we tried their taco salad. It was just okay. Everything was mixed together on the plate. On the menu, the picture showed the items layered rather than mixed. You wouldn't think it would make that big a difference, but unfortunately, it did. However, the guacamole was really good. The view from the outside seating area by the bar is gorgeous, and the grounds crew does a great job keeping the resort beautiful! The beach, however, is not spectacular with just a narrow strip of sand. The next morning, we stopped at the coffee shop. They offer breakfast sandwiches, coffee, pastries, and other sweets. I had the turtle cheesecake it was great. My husband tried the chocolate cake. He said it was just ok. read more

I was extremely disappointed with the quality of food as well as the cleanliness of this restaurant. I was relieved that we had not chosen this place as our destination to stay and eat during the course of our trip to St. Thomas. The staff and locals are very friendly. They have a happy hour with a DJ by the pool. The restaurant on site is very similar to Chili's or Applebees. Our second or third night we noticed a roach crawling around our bathroom, didn't think too much of it because we had the back door opened so maybe one happened to find its way in...well our last day there I opened the dishwasher and there was a whole family of roaches. The pool is not well monitored, locals walk in at any time to use the pool and employees don't seem to care as much. read more

We stayed at the resort, ordered from the restaurant a few times for snacks by the pool (nacho volcano was delicious but feeds more than two!) and had a sit-down lunch once. Service was very slow at the sit down lunch, and my taco salad did not come with the avocado or corn/bean salsa - I had to ask for these portions of the salad separately and only then was told they didn't have the corn salsa. I was not really sure what to expect at this resort because some of the reviews are very mixed. However, I was surprised to find such a beautiful, well run escape to paradise in St. Thomas. My daughter and I stayed in a studio suite and it was so immaculate, spacious for two and very convenient to the main pool and beach. We also were happy to find we were so close to the coffee shop, which was steps from our door. The resort is so beautiful. They have taken the Margaritaville theme and inserted it in every nook and cranny. I'm a Disney fan so I love a good theme. Also, the grounds were very well kept. They even cleaned the beach every single morning. There were also activities that left straight from the beachfront like a sunset cruise. That cruise was one of the highlights of our trip. The food was also a surprise because it was not as expensive as I thought it would be, especially for what you get. We are there on the resort most of the 5 days we stayed because it was convenient and good. If you don't want to take a cab or drive off the resort, go to the little beach shack to the right of the beach called the Shoreline Grill. It was awesome and the bartender made very strong drinks. Speaking of drinks, the Margaritaville excelled there and I was feeling fantastic LOL. The best part was the 2-for-1 happy hours! All in all, I recommend you ignore the bad reviews and stay here. We stayed at Point Pleasant Resort next to Margarita Villa but luckily we were able to walk along the beach to dine at Margaritaville. I am completely shocked that this pool side restaurant has such low rating on Yelp. I only found out after eating here 5 times and I am glad I didn't look it up prior because I would've thought about it twice and we would've missed out on some delicious drinks and food. Some negative reviews mention the food choices being limited and expensive. Although these menu items are pricey I think for it being St.Thomas is pretty average and yes, I agree the menu is limited but this is a pool side bar/restaurant the choices are catered to all different age groups including children. They do have a very good 2 for 1 happy hour every day from 4-6 we definitely took advantage of this as much as we could. My husband and I had lunch and drinks at this place 4 out of the 8 nights we stayed in St.Thomas and I must say it never disappointed. Service was great and the food was flavorful. We had several menu items including the fire fire shrimp (highly recommend if you like spicy) cheese burger, club sandwich (my husband ordered this every time we came, he said it was the most delicious club sandwich he's ever had) quesadilla (highly recommend). Drinks were always made well with a healthy alcohol pour. We had painkillers, buschwacker, mai tais and my husband enjoyed the summer ale. The service was always friendly and attentive. Our stay was paid through Agoda website, a second party they use to book their rooms. I used my debt card the day we checked in for the 250 refundable deposit in which I was to get back when we checked out Aug.1. On Aug. 4 they were able to charge my card for the full price of our stay. Mind you they mixed up our reservation with another guest who had a similar name as my boyfriend. Now they are giving me the run around about refunding my money. They got paid twice for our stay. Each manager have been giving me the run around! It's going on October and these people are playing games . I would never recommend trusting them with your debt cards! It's a scam . The Agoda place is in Singapore and that's who they "proclaim" was going to give me the refund at one point ! But I didn't give Agoda my card details only Margaritaville! So how are you sharing my detailed with them! They have being lying and each manager has a different bs line when I call for them to fix it! Checked in to our hotel after traveling from Georgia and decided to have dinner at this so called restaurant. I put in an order for the kids chicken tenders for my toddler while we decided what we wanted to eat. The waitress came back to take our orders and my boyfriend and I put in for two jerk bbq burgers. We checked in to the Margaritaville Vacation Club (which I might add was surprisingly quite nice) and decided to have dinner at the Margaritaville Restaurant on-site for our first night in St. Thomas. I might have hesitated had I seen the number of stars this place got on Yelp, so it m glad I went sight unseen. (It really is best to make your own opinion.) It was quite good. Service was friendly and attentive though the kitchen was a tad slow (and we were there after peak time). Margaritas seemed kind of obligatory since the place is an ode to them after all. They did not disappoint. All contain Margaritaville tequila of various types. We had a "Perfect Margarita" on the rocks and a "Gold Cadillac Margarita." frozen. The Gold Cadillac comes with a Cointreau floater which was great when stirred in. Though I generally avoid frozen margaritas since waiting tables in a culturally-appropriated Mexican restaurant a generation ago, this place screamed frozen margaritas to me. Heck, an entire line of lime green frozen cocktail blenders has been based on this place! Both margaritas were great. These were "premium" margaritas and the tequila was smooth. Not sure which I preferred--they were both excellent though each tasted different from the other. The food was also quite good. We had Lava Lava Shrimp, an impressively tall double cheeseburger, and delightful grilled mahi-mahi. The shrimp was a a generously-proportioned appetizer of fried shrimp lightly drizzled with a zesty aioli--kudos to the chef for the light touch and for extra aioli for dipping. It was crisp and tasty and made a satisfying dinner. While the cheeseburger was quite good, the fries were not. They were starchy and dry in an unappealing way. The mahi-mahi was the best of all. It came atop white rice. and was served with a nice variety of sautéed vegetables (grilled corn, sweet potatoes, 2 types of squash, cauliflower, broccoli and onion) and some fried plantains. It was topped with a light butter sauce and was very tasty. The fish might have been a slight bit over cooked but I'm being overly critical. Walking around, I saw many people were having ribs which looked and smelled scrumptious--maybe next time . . . We had no room for dessert but a large number of brownie sundaes kept making their way out of the kitchen. They look so enticing we had to ask what the popular desert was. First off is my walk in greeting which I got. As we stepped in we were acknowledged and given a seat. Our server was really nice. I must say I think it something because on her first day of work we were there and gave her tips because she was nervous and almost confused but now she is great and has great knowledge on the menu. Now to service- great job she continuously checked on us and best part she was able to answer all questions asked. Salmon plate- salmon was cooked perfectly nice and juicy. The only problem is the sauce over powered EVERYTHING on the plate. You couldn't tell you was eating salmon because the flavor was not there. We had some extra shrimp that came afterwards but it was BLAND and dry. Chicken plate- chicken plate came missing a chicken but came after. The cook on each of the chicken was really good. They were all soft and juicy. The Macaroni and cheese chicken was tasting kind of off. I'm not sure what was in there but it wasn't to my liking. The Vegetables were cooked great love how the crunch was still there. Now the WORST PART OF TONIGHT. I'm in shock to how they allowed these 2 men to be smoking INSIDE of the establishment next to my PREGNANT other half. Literally 6 feet away but still they are INSIDE of the building. I asked to upgrade my shrimp salad with coconut shrimp and she said I couldn't, which I thought was odd. I thought perhaps she thought I wasn't willing to pay an up-charge so I clarified I'd being will to pay an up-charge, and I asked her what the up charge would be. She said it would be the same as the coconut shrimp entree. That was priced just about $6 higher So I was like oh okay so $24 instead of $18? And she said yeah. I looked at my fiancé for confirmation and he said "yeah do it" and I was like okay cool I think that's fair too, I'll do that. Because everything is so expensive here anyways what's another $6 ! I was then served my salad and brought out the entire coconut shrimp entree too (which had the coconut shrimp in a separate side dish, by the way, so not sure what it cant just be swapped out). So I said "oh no I just ordered the coconut shrimp, not the entire meal". The food runner left the shrimp and walked over to my server to tell her the situation. She came over and I said I was confused and OBVIOUSLY didn't want to pay for two meals. She acted like that's what I agreed to and gave me a rude look like I was dumb, and took the shrimp away. She took it off the bill but , as a server myself, handled it extremely poorly. The grilled shrimp were extremely fishy, lettuce wily, and the salad had canned fruit in it. So I go down there at 8 for breakfast. It's supposed to be open then. It wasn't. There was a lady there who gave me a mimosa but the bartender wasn't there ( I was told she's and other staff were supposed to be there at 8.). But I'm like you're good w numbers on ounces w mimosas but not getting to work on f&$king time. Then I wanted to watch football at the bar and she said the seawater ruined the tvs even tho the tvs were on and a QR code to reset the receiver was on and I was like can't you scan that and she said no there is no football today. I had a lovely stay at Margaritaville! Such a fun and friendly experience in a beautiful tropical destination! I loved their clean little rooms with a small kitchen area and fresh towels and golf carts to transport you to the roof top swim up bar as well as yummy cocktails from the first floor bar at ground level. While visiting, we went to Magens beach, SurfnTurf Bistro off mainstreet, night kayaking at the Marriott Frenchman's Cove, scuba diving at Redhook diving center, the Love Shack bar across from Redhook, Coral Park beach and the Coral Center where I swam with dolphins and the Sunset Cruise down near Saphire resort.
