Margaritaville Bayside has easily become one of my favorite date night options in Miami! The buy one, get one half off margaritas makes it even better, especially when you're enjoying them with such a beautiful backdrop of the Miami skyline and the Ferris wheel . Talk about the perfect Miami ambiance! The service was great from start to finish, and of course, the watermelon margarita was the star of the show for me so refreshing, fruity, and delicious! It's the kind of spot where you can grab a drink, enjoy the views, and settle into a fun, relaxed evening together. Definitely adding this one to the date night rotation! read more

I came here with my daughter on a last minute reservation we made through OpenTable. After going through the crowds at Bayside Marketplace, we finally arrived at the restaurant and walked upstairs after we checked in to be seated. We sat near the glass view of the water and the Skyview. Our waitress came promptly and took our order. It took unusually long for our food to come out seeing that there was a light crowd there on a Saturday evening. It finally arrived after the waitress saw that we were looking around after about a half hour and she told us it would be out shortly. The chicken tinga tacos were delicious! It came with a side of rice and beans. The Cajun shrimp dip was flavorful as well. It took a while to get our bill, which I don't understand why the reason was for it. There is an automatic gratuity added to the bill, which I found surprisingly considering the service as well as paying to park in the garage. It wasn't an dinner in paradise. read more

Stopped in one afternoon after some events and wandering around BaySide mainly because of the name. Well, it was okay, I guess. Not great, but okay. The place wasn't really clean, but it wasn't really dirty either. We sat outside and the waiter had to keep running back inside, so he didn't actually pass our table all that often -- which means our service was a bit slow and my glass was empty more than once. The food was fine, but nothing really special. This is probably a nice place to take the kids (despite the name) because it's nice, safe food from a chain. read more

Great spot for a quick drink while visiting the Bayside Marketplace. This place is huge with plenty of seating down and upstairs. We sat at the outside bar so we could people watch. I had the espresso martini, cause, why not? And the people watching did not disappoint. Our bartender was very attentive and nice. Thanks! read more

4/5: A little pricey for the portion, but the chicken wasn't dry and had good flavor. The dressing was slightly sweet went well with the chicken. I think what's missing is the different arrays of vegetables. I think red cabbage and other veggies is what makes the salad really good. Nothing special but I was disappointed. Interior is not nice. There are birds flying inside and we did see it poop. Also the ceiling has these white fan (?) that were dripping water. read more

Let me start by saying our waitress was amazing! I genuinely wish the food was as good as the service, but it most definitely was not. Do yourself a favor and walk a little further down the boardwalk as there are many other options. read more

A empty restaurant and bar on a Sunday of labor day weekend should've been red flag number one... If it wasn't for my friend in desperate need of food and a drink, I would've left after we sat at the (empty) outside bar for over ten minutes before we were even acknowledged. There was literally only four other people at the bar that already had their orders but we sat around waiting. Once the bartender finally came over to, he gave us menus and stood there waiting for us to order, without saying anything other than 'hi". I decided to get the incommunicado, which was Margaritaville Gold Tequila and Silver Rum, Margaritaville Triple Sec, Wheatly Vodka, gin, our house sweet & sour, cranberry and pineapple juices with a splash of grenadine for $12. My friend ordered a Margarita and a side of fries. After another ten minutes, the bartender came over and asked what I order was again because he forgot.... Ten minutes after we assumed he put our order in. The drinks were good, very sweet and I don't even believe there was anything other than mixer in my friends drink because it was that sweet. My drink was refreshing and I could taste the alcohol but it was definitely not worth the price. The fries were good and had a nice seasoning to them. They were served hot and thankfully fresh but for the $6 it was not worth the amount given. As soon as we got our drinks, he already was back with the check and left us until we were ready to pay. We than understood why the guy didn't care about service because they had a gratuity automatically included. When we paid and he cane back he thanked us and then mentioned there was a spot for additional gratuity. Absolutely not. We paid, signed the check and left. Definitely a one and done place for me and I'll actively avoid this location any time that I am in Miami. read more

I went here two months ago on spring break with my mother. I ordered their steak special with a specialty cocktail. The drink was good. However, the steak I ordered was horrible. It looked old and slimy. I could not believe they were willing to serve food to customers in that condition. My mom was grossed out by it too. I ordered my steak medium rare, and it came out mostly well done. I took a little bite of it just to try it and it was very salty and disgusting. The mashed potatoes and green beans that came with it weren't good either. I had to send back the food and they let me order something else. I ordered some kind of shrimp dip with bread I think, and that was also very salty and didn't taste that great. At least we were not charged for the steak, but it was a disappointing dinner overall. I don't have high expectations of chain restaurants, but this was definitely not a good experience. read more

Updating my review out of disappointment. I'm a local and it's sad to see businesses with such big names behind them act like any other sleazy Miami restaurant. This place has stoop so low as to automatically add a 3% credit card fee, a 20% auto-gratuity, plus a tourist tax. Not a good look for a company with a portfolio that includes cruises, restaurants, and resorts among with merchandising and representing the name of Jimmy Buffett. read more

Stopped in around 3:30 , we missed the 12 to 3 lunch special . I asked and there was no other deals . That's ok . I got the jambalaya and my GF got the chicken stir fry , both were very good . Wish my jambalaya wasn't as dry as it was , I saw a few seafood combos come out , that was my 2nd choice and looked great . We each got one drink . Besides the Miami high prices , and the built in " service charge " at least there honest and call it a gratuity. So you don't get tricked to tip twice . We stopped in later that night for drinks and I got the shrimp dip with chips . Was also good . read more

We got dropped off in the front of the Bayside shopping mall. Margaritaville happened to be on the completely other side of this entrance so it probably took us 5 to 10 minutes to walk all the way across. There's a lot of small shops, restaurants, and bars in this area, which is pretty cool spot to visit. I had made a reservation, but it wasn't needed as it was pretty empty for a Sunday. That have a few TVs on, but no audio. We decided to share the nachos which was plenty, but I will say we had to order an extra side of cheese because the nachos in the bottom were dry. It took an extra 10 minutes to get this side of cheese , which was too long considering there wasn't anyone else they had to tend to. I ordered a drink but can't remember the name. It had a good sweetness to it but didn't pack the taste of a margarita with alcohol. I like drinks with a good balance. Overall ok experience. Service really lacked. Didn't get checked on at all. O had to flag them down for everything. read more

So my gf was dying to stop in here so we did. We shopped around the gift shop while we waited for our table and eventually took our seat outside. We grabbed some drinks and some nachos and just soaked in the waterside atmosphere. There's a lot of ppl watching to do and the only downside is that there are pigeons. My gf got an unfortunate gift from above and had to go to the restroom to get cleaned up. Not a bad spot. Pick your seat wisely. read more

1. Walked in and it took about 3 minutes for the manager looking man to come up and ask if we needed a table. 2. Once seated, it took over 8 minutes to receive menus from a different person. 3. It took another 5 minutes for someone to finally come to the table and start taking drink orders. 4. Once we ordered drinks, it took over 10 minutes to receive our drinks. They were sitting at the bar getting watered down by the ice in them. 5. Our server was very kind and polite. She had the most personality out of everyone we interacted with. Our server was Bianca. 6. This place wasn't busy at all. A few people at the bar and maybe 2 tables total. 7. The food was very good. Standard frozen fries. The grilled chicken sandwich was very good, but the bun could have been warned up instead of room temperature. The Asian salad was good but the wontons were missing and the dressing it was tossed in was put on sparingly. The chicken on it was good. It's a 3/5 stars due to the lack of attention at the beginning. We were about to walk out before the drinks finally arrived. Bianca was the best part. The management needs to do better. read more

Great location. Everything on the menu is spelled properly. That's about all the good I can say. Part of this is my fault, when I came in the hostess (when she came back to the hostess stand) was like "oh I don't know guys I think it's like a 30 minute wait". We said oh okay that's fine, she pulled out a random piece of paper and asked us to write our name and number down. That should've tipped me off. They asked us if we wanted inside or outside, and then someone came over and said something and then they asked us "is a booth okay?" We said sure, and they immediately sat us at a normal table, not a booth. Twenty minutes later they took our order and 45 minutes later we left. Of the four drinks we ordered, three were correct (sorry I should've listed that as a positive above). The A/C was cranked up so high we all had sweatshirts on. The staff walked around, and there was one guy really working hard, but the others seemed to just walk around, I never saw them like carry anything anywhere. On the way out, the hostess was like "yeah, sorry". Some people say that there's a woman to blame. But maybe it's my own damn fault. read more

My friends and I stopped in Margaritaville for a rest and a drink. I don't seek out Margaritavilles because they tend to be okay but not stellar. This one lived up to those expectations. It was a 'seat yourself' dining room where waitresses would pass our table as though we didn't exist. After ten minutes one stopped over, seemed irritated we were only ordering drinks, and after delivering said drinks didn't come back. Another one came by to drop off the bill. No one asked how the drinks were or if we wanted another round. The drinks were solid. Nothing particularly memorable one way or the other. It was a good stop, but I won't think fondly of this place. read more

We stopped by after having had a special dinner of celebration of my daughter's promotion at work. We haven't been to this location before. It's the typical Margaritaville ambiance decorated in beach style. We each had a Perfect Margarita, which was delicious. I love Margaritaville, but this one is the worst. By far. I started downstairs around dinner time. Went to the bar and the tall white bartender had an absolute look of disgust. It was off putting. He was on his phone for awhile. We didn't get served by him or the other bartender. We went upstairs and tried the upstairs bar and finally got service. Nick was very welcoming, and gave us recommendations for beaches, but the first 10 minutes downstairs left us with a sour taste in our system. We ALMOST went back after the Ferris wheel to go back up stairs, but decided we couldn't bare to see the rude bartenders any more. The place is hot, the air conditioners have mold next to them and the bartenders downstairs make this the worst experience ever. You have better luck getting a pig to fly then service from those two. read more

Average service. Not many healthier food options. Bad drinks. Roaches (photo of one a guy killed while we were waiting for the one bathroom). Broken bathrooms. The one bathroom opened had no soap or paper. My friends wife chose not to go because of the condition. Ambiance is corporately laid back / key westy. Location is great, right by water and on bayside. But they were already closing the ideal outdoor sitting as we got there. A pity they don't manage it better. Low star rating for lack of cleanliness, average service, drinks people didn't like, pricey for what it is. Best part of the spot is their ideal location. I wouldn't return or recommend. read more

To be fully transparent I did not have high expectations for this restaurant and I was not disappointed. The food was good for what it was. We ordered an Appetizer Trio to start along with cheeseburgers in paradise & Cajun seafood pasta. Jimmy Buffet is turning over in his grave! Absolutely awful! First time in Miami and first time at a Margaritaville restaurant. Service was terribly slow. Took 15 minutes for waitress to take our order when the place was virtually empty. Took over an hour to get our food. (The food was actually good). Had to ask for the drinks from the bar, because the waitress was so slow delivering them. They allowed street vendors/beggars in the restaurant too. Very annoying. I came here after my exam one day as I was craving some seafood. The items on the menu looked appetizing so I gave it a shot. I have heard about Margaritaville mainly through products like shirts, cups or drinks but this was my first time seeing the restaurant. It started out alright, as I was seated pretty quickly. It took a while for someone to approach me for water or even place my order so that was a bit annoying. The crab cakes were calling my name so when someone came, I put that order in. At the time my phone was dying so I also asked the server if they could charge my phone or if they had a phone charger. Most of the time when I ask the restaurant, they will say yes and just charge it behind the bar counter or somewhere else in the restaurant but my server said no. I asked him if there was an outlet that I could use and he said no. I looked over and saw an outlet in the distance and felt a bit disgruntled. Another server passed by and I asked if I could use the outlet and pointed to it and they said of course. Maybe my guy was just having a bad day. The crab cakes arrived and they were tiny with a slight crisp to them. I've had crab cakes at other places and they are never that tiny for the price. 35$ for that is quite insane. I think being downtown Miami doesn't help either. The taste was alright, good flavor on the crab cakes but the string beans were too sweet with the sauce they had on it and the fries were bland. Not sure if I'll come back here but if I did, I'd try something else. read more

You wouldn't expect that much from a chain restaurant in a very touristy mall, but I will defend Margaritaville to the bitter end. If you're going here, you're probably already a Parrothead and know what to expect, but if tiki trop-rock vibes are your scene, this is it. We were sitting outside but moved inside when it started to rain, and honestly the bay view windows on the second floor make a strong case for sitting inside. I actually think the food here is pretty good, and the Cheeseburger in Paradise is a pretty solid burger. You'd of course be remiss not to get a margarita here and there are plenty to choose from. Only hiccup has been the Margaritaville rewards program (yes, I'm a member of the Margaritaville rewards program) can be a little confusing to use, but our waiter was very friendly and figured it out for us. read more

We were in Miami and was walking around and came across this restaurant. Considering that we were extremely hungry and needed to stop quickly, we decided to give them a try. The service was excellent. We were seated right away and our server was as sweet as he wanted to be. He was very attentive and informational. He could tell were weren't from Miami... our shirts gave it away I'm sure. But he offered us advice on places to go and see. The was slightly cold as it should've been considering it was in the 80s. I wish I could've brought the sun back with me because it's so cold in the "D". However, it was pretty nice on the inside. There was a leak coming from the ceiling though, not too far from where we were sitting and eating. The food was decent. They weren't the best fish tacos I ever had but they weren't disappointing. Definitely need the salsa and sauce to add flavor to it since the fish wasn't seasoned. The waffle fries was cooked too hard also. They were more like chips. My mom and sister and the burger was pretty good. They enjoyed it. read more
