High ratings inspired us to try this place...ordered a Sol beer...skunky beer with a March 2023 date...got a Miller Lite to replace it...it was cold. Service: We came to have a to go order. It took around 5 minutes for the only server/bartender to take our order. My friend had a drink while we waited. By the time we go our order, which was a pupusa and tamal, it had been over 45 minutes. Food: I had the pupusa revuelta and one tamal de gallina. They were standard Latin food, decently sized. My friend had a margarita, which he enjoyed. Ambiance: There weren't many diners after 9PM on a Tuesday, so it was rather casual. The music added to the Latin vibe. I am remarkably impressed with this restaurant. Seemingly hidden in an unassuming shopping plaza is a lovely Mexican/Salvadoran restaurant that's a great value and great taste. Service: the service was just alright to be honest. It took quite a long time to get our server's attention mid-meal and when we were trying to get the check. The restaurant wasn't busy with maybe only 2 other tables. Atmosphere: it gives family restaurant vibes. When I was dining here, a quinceañera was happening in the event hall next door and the music could be heard quite clearly, but that was okay. Food: the far and away highlight were the Papusas! They were delicious, filling, and so much variety in terms of filling! I would come back and be totally content with just ordering 3 or 4 papusas for my meal. My actual entree though was a bit disappointing. The salmon was just fish. Nothing special or exciting about it at all. The sides though. The rice and the beans were definitely a stand out on the plate. I just wished I ordered something else that would have paired well with them. Value: the papusas were not only delicious, they were cheap! Definitely an auto-include anytime I'm back there. Went here for dinner, the restaurant in the center plaza near other stores, supermarket, restaurants. I decided to go restaurant. The restaurant has Mexican and south American food which can range from tacos, quesadilla, pupusa, seafood plates. The restaurant has plenty of tables for dine in or you can also do carryout I order the steak which with yellow rice, black beans and salad. The food was warm the meat did not have flavor, meat was not tender. The rice was also bland to include not a lot of salt. This place opened quite a while ago. I went by once to look at the menu but never ate there. But I got to thinking about it and tried to look at their menu. The web site was down. I wondered if they were still in business so drove over to see. They were still there so I went in and ordered the guacamole and two enchiladas, chicken and beef. The guacamole was pretty good. It appeared to be fresh made. The chicken and beef enchiladas came with refried beans, spanish rice, pica de gallo, sour cream, some lettuce and tomatoes. I thought about telling them to leave off the rice and was sorry I didn't do that when they served the place with a HUGE pile of rice. To get to the enchiladas I scrapped the rice off onto another plate. The rice and refried beans were good. But the beef enchilada had very chewy beef and I quickly gave up on eating it. I wondered if you ordered the fajitas if the beef fajita would be chewy. The chicken enchilada was good but I guess I was disappointed it wasn't all white chicken. I washed the meal down with a Mandarin Jarrito. Tried to order the strawberry flavor but they had none. The restaurant is located close to where a hidden gym used to be but they converted the gym to a restaurant. But the bigger picture is the restaurant is located just off Dale Boulevard in the same shopping center as Giant Food. read more

This establishment was very disappointing. Called us niggers and gave us bad service. The waiter snatched the receipt out of my hand because I wouldn't tip for bad service. The food was ice cold, had hair in it, and when I asked for new food they stated pay and leave. I am a young black woman trying to support the minority establishments. The server was good. I ordered a pupusa. It was good till I found a hair in it! My friend had a hair on her tamale also. He gave us 15% off our ticket. Great restaurant! It doesn't look like much when passing by so you can definitely miss it so that's why I'm writing this review. They have the BEST Carnitas Tacos and Papusas I've ever had in my life! The food always comes out hot and in a reasonable time. Not too fast to the point were I question the freshness but also not too long to were im getting annoyed by waiting. This is a racist establishment. I got nachos and guacamole and two pupusas and it seemed like the staff did all they could to make it a negative dining experience. I suspected racism but wasn't sure. They brought out the wrong order for the pupusas, they took away the nachos and guacamole before we were done, they took forever with simple appetizer food, they brought out a non-itemized check, and generally were not friendly. It was only when I saw the manager - a woman - interacting with black people who were around the outside eating area that I realized they're racist. She accused a black woman on leaving an empty bottle on one of the tables. It wasn't the black woman's water bottle, which she told to the manager. The manager proceeded to throw the water bottle onto the ground and curse the woman out. If you don't want to support a racist establishment then do not eat here. I had to check my credit card transactions to ensure I wasn't overcharged. read more
