SL was a tiny place, but thankfully mostly empty; we plopped ourselves down and ordered some cold beers (pilsner for me, it being a hot afternoon). They had a decent beer list here - several standard styles from the British isles. I noted they also had some locally made brews (I didn't try them) plus Guinness (a necessity for such a place). The vibe wasn't very Irish beyond the decor and dark interior. The bartender was playing some euro pop on the sound system. Snacks were offered - mostly bread rolls, small sandwiches, and cuts off some oblong pizzas. We sampled a few of the latter to go with our beers. (They were OK.) As for the volleyball, the USA got spanked. Thankfully no celebration from the other side; most of the other patrons were either Americans or Brits. And the Italian bartender didn't seem to care.
