We had some good dinners here in Cetara, but we still wanted to try out this popular pizza place. So we decided on some take-out pizza for lunch on our last full day.
It was a bit after 1pm, so the line was short and most people already gone. Pizze here start as low as 3 Euros for a Pizza Margarita. I really thought it's the price for a slice at first. Silly me.
In the end I went for a "more expensive" Pizza with Porcini and Salsiccia....cost was 4.50 Euros! The price for a real, full-size Pizza. Compare these prices to Rome, Milan or Florence.
Service was quick and the pizza freshly made. So in just a matter of minutes I was on my way with the pizza. A short walk home, so the pizza was still hot and fresh at the time we ate it.
And it was a good pizza! Nice tomato puree, nice flavors from the porcini and salsiccia. A good meal. The best pizza ever? No. But still a very good one.
Of course you also can grab one of the nice outdoor tables in front of the small restaurant. But it's a very popular place, so it's packed easily. No wonder for these prices. Recommended! read more
