He answered all of my questions, even the ones I didn't realize I had. We felt incredibly supported and treated with compassion, professionalism, and genuine kindness. It was a comforting and informative experience during such a difficult time. You will absolutely get your money's worth at Twin Chapels. You will never feel taken advantage of--only cared for. There is a deep sense of peace that comes with leaving your loved one in their hands. I cannot recommend them enough. If this review had 10 stars to give, they would deserve every single one.

I spoke to Vincent and explained that my mother had just passed and made arrangements to have her body removed. I vividly remembered that my contract had a Sacramento funeral home, so when I found the contract, I politely called Vincent back to cancel. I was unaware at that time that Covid created a partnership between All Souls Cemetery and Twin Chapels Mortuary, so Vincent assured me that I was not breaching any contract and scheduled an appointment with the Funeral Director. I was happy Vincent called the other Funeral home and explained the situation in my behalf; besides it made sense to keep things local. This is the first time I have been to TCM and was very curious how it was laid out. We met with Greg Silva, and since Mom's services were prepaid, everything was seamless. He answered every question we had, even gave me his cell phone # for any questions after our meeting, of which Greg always responded in a timely manner. Greg was coordinating with our church in real time for available dates. We left knowing the exact dates of the vigil and funeral mass. After we picked a Memorial book, Greg gave us a tour of the chapel where the service will be held and the dining area where guests can have light refreshments. Greg also informed us that TCM will print us a poster of Mom for the viewing at no cost. The layout of the chapel where my mom's services would be was a good size, it can accommodate up to 300 people, even extend to 400 if needed by removing the partitions. There is a 2nd exact chapel on the opposite side, hence they were called Twin Chapels. There is ample parking on the side and at the back, also plenty of street parking if the lot is full. The size was perfect for our service, not too big, not too small. During the week, I finished Mom's obituary and emailed it to Greg. It was uploaded within minutes of receipt! We then dropped off Mom's attire and met Tracy that day. She was very helpful with the additional service questions I had; she even informed me that she would be the one assisting on the day of the service. I also had the opportunity to talk to Jessica on a few things and she too was very helpful. Day of the Visitation started at 4, however TCM allowed us to be there an hour early to set-up. Everything was set-up and saw that TCM made 2 posters of my mom! For the dining area, TCM provided complimentary Coffee and tea; and had 2 dispensers for hot and cold water. We anticipated a good turn out so we brought extra 8 oz water bottles and extra coffee makers. Except for a few minor electrical shorts, everything was well organized. Trudy was always readily available to help. Day of the Funeral Mass - the mass was at noon, however since TCM was opened at 9am, they allowed us to be there early to pay final respects before they closed the casket. Around 11am, Dave Reeder, Funeral Director in Charge, summoned the pall bearers and explained their roles, gave us funeral stickers for our cars, and also informed us the time we were leaving so we could say our final goodbyes to Mom. TCM brought the 2 posters and 2 floral wreaths for the church. Again, another well organized event to the church and after the Mass. Since Mom was going to be cremated, we did not go to the cemetery. TCM staff collected all the flowers and posters who brought it back to TCM for us to collect later that afternoon. TCM has a crematory onsite and will be handling Mom's cremains. Our overall experience with TCM was a positive one from start to finish! They treated us with empathy, compassion and respect. One of the few (if not the only) locally own funeral homes in Vallejo, I highly recommend their services for your loved ones. Thank you TCM for a beautiful, well executed service for mom.

It was my grandma's request to be laid to rest here, next to her husband of 50+ years. She was buried on April 10, 2024. When I visited her grave on December 23, 2024, her plot wasn't even marked because she's still waiting on a headstone (not the cemetery's fault). I went to the office, called the phone number on the door, and never received a call back. Fast forward to December 22, 2025, same issue, so I repeated my walk to the office to call the phone number on the door. Only when I said that I would escalate the situation to the Cemetery and Funeral Bureau in my voicemail did I receive a text back. Whoever was texting me was argumentative, even when I cited a California penal code that states that graves need to be marked. The director called me after that, said that a headstone is actually ready to be made, but that he has not received payment yet. Due to conflict within my family, I volunteered to pay for the headstone, but that the proof will need to be changed before I pay. I have since started a GoFundMe to raise money for the headstone and I'm doing what I can to save for it, too. I informed the director that I would be visiting the cemetery again on January 8, 2026 and would like to meet him in person to discuss the proof. January 8th came and went, the grave is still unmarked, the director was not on site to meet me, and he has not communicated with me since December 24, 2025. Did I mention that I drive from the Sacramento area to visit my family members' graves? This is ridiculous. Graves without headstones should be marked for health and safety reasons, not to mention out of respect, and cemetery directors are supposed to be good at communicating with clients. I'm done being patient and understanding. Something's got to give. I will take this review down when I get much-needed results.

I know - that was my mother-in-law's burial service. She was a Holocaust survivor; that she was nearly lost to the flames because of this guy's actions is unimaginable. The family was left waiting at the cemetery with no idea where he was or what had happened. The CHP rescued the casket, but family and friends who came from out of town for the funeral were unable to attend since the service was delayed for two days. Needless to say I can't recommend his services.

Without going into the family drama, as the trustee in charge of everything, I made the decision to honor my distant family's beliefs and give my father a full orthodox funeral. The logistical problem for me was that neither my father or I are orthodox and doing this "correctly" was not something I have a clue about. I hit the web and found Mandel Funeral Services. Dan Mandel has held my (metaphorical) hand through this entire process. He took care of absolutely everything and made sure I had everything covered -and there were plenty of issues and orthodox traditions I had never even heard of. He has been very kind, empathetic and extremely generous with his time and caring nature. Funeral services are crazy expensive -especially at first glance when you have no idea what all is involved. Now i know -there is a lot. All I have had to do is talk to him on the phone -multiple times a day (and probably half of that time has been him simply helping me through the personal side -he's a wonderful council), sign some forms (which he generally fills out for me and emails) and show up at the cemetery. He found the Rabbi for me, made sure everything was done to spec and above -and always, respectfully, made sure I was aware of where the money was going and where it was best put. He made sure we were able to take advantage of every benefit/discount offered by the various other entities involved. In short, while I have no other experience with funeral services, I would not hesitate to recommend Mandel. Btw: he also does secular and non orthodox as well. He is a good guy.
