We had the privilege of working with Pierre Z'berg as the Funeral Director for my dad, and I truly can't say enough about the care and professionalism he showed during such a difficult time. From the very beginning, Pierre was incredibly responsive--always answering calls and emails promptly, which made the entire process feel much less overwhelming. He was kind, compassionate, and genuinely easy to work with while we made all the arrangements. What stood out most was his flexibility and willingness to accommodate our requests, making sure everything was handled exactly as we hoped. During a time when emotions are high and details matter so much, Pierre provided a calm, supportive presence that we deeply appreciated. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of funeral services. Thank you Pierre! read more

This is, sadly, the third family funeral I have had to arrange over the last decade. There is no other funeral home that could offer the compassionate care that Bryan-Baker does. Jo Ann has consistently been absolutely amazing, always professional, yet offering the personal touch that Bryan-Baker is known for. She anticipates items that I hadn't considered and is patient with numerous questions, offering solutions. I would absolutely recommend Bryan-Baker Funeral Home to any family dealing with the loss of a family member. read more

Kudos to staff member Tarah Coffee who was a blessing to work with when making arrangements. Bryan-Braker took much care of my Mom. Everything happened so quickly and as anyone is after losing a loved one, we were not fully there. Bryan-Braker was so attentive, empathetic and caring the whole way through. From the initial collecting of her body, the explanations to options we had in planning a service, the viewing, and lastly the burial. Everything was top notch, and I appreciate everyone that had a role in caring for my Mom, especially Maira for guiding us every step of the way. One of my biggest worries was how she'd look during the viewing, but she looked absolutely beautiful. Thank you, xoxo read more

Bryan-Braker Funeral Home has provided an excellent service and have shown compassion to me and my siblings on the passing of our dear mother, Hermie. Everything went exactly as planned. From the time mom died, until we brought her to her final destination. Everyone with whom I dealt was professional, sympathetic, respectful. Joann Moore took very good care of all our needs, from viewing, processing documents, allowing us to be present while mom is being cremated although outside the building already relieved a little bit of our grief and pain and keeping mom's ashes in their loving care for less than a year were very much appreciated. All of these processed went very smoothly. Thank you so much. Phoebe Quindara. read more

Just one year from the passing of my father, I had to prepare myself all over again for the passing of my mom. Bryan Braker was their choice of a funeral home. Tara Coffee and Shannan were the best. They knew what I was going through and made this transition easy as can be. They were patient, took all my calls, answered all my questions, dealt with the insurance company, followed up on delays of the death certificates... Just all around great during that difficult time. I thank you both for all of your help and sincere kindness. I know you deal with this on a daily, but to keep a positive attitude and positive energy is a blessing. My mother passed away on January 19th. We were originally told that she had weeks maybe months but she took a sudden down turn and passed away that day. It was by happenstance that I had an appointment at Bryan Braker Funeral Home that same day. I had made the appointment several days prior so we could talk about options and stuff but in light of mom's passing it made it far more urgent. So less than 4 hours after my Mom's passing I entered Bryan & Braker and was met by Greg Boyko. I informed him that my mother had passed away that morning. There was no condolences, there was no empathy, there was no emotion at all. Greg became focused on the fact that my mom's body was not at Bryan & Braker. He left the room several times having the front desk lady call Kaiser to find out why they hadn't been called yet to pick her up. Based on other reviews at this point I did see him as a "used car salesman". Afterall the sooner my mom was in their possession they could charge storage and refrigeration right? I had a unique situation. My mom had paid for her niche and cremation urn. But she had paid for the cremation itself up in Oregon where she was living at the time she paid. To Greg's credit he did call the funeral home up there and arranged for the money to be transferred down to me so there wouldn't be a loss. The meeting was just cold and unfeeling. I realize its a business but my Mom had JUST passed away. By the time we were done the total was about 3 times what Oregon charges. Which again I get it, its a business and California is much more expensive. There was also an extra charge for my mom's burial plaque because we wanted to add wording. But never once did he offer condolences or anything. Despite me being the primary executor to my mom the way he drew up the contract I had to take it to my sister who was not doing well with my mom's passing to have her sign it. Then had to make a trip back on Friday to drop it off. The following Monday Greg called to let me know he picked my mom's body up on Friday and that apparently he needed another signature which mercifully we could do via email. He eluded to a possible additional charge for something called an "air tray". Thankfully this was not added at anytime. Roughly 2 weeks later Greg called to advise that my mom's ashes, death certificates, etc was ready for pick up. I was at work already and asked if my sister could go. He reluctantly agreed preferring that I was to pick up. During the call he tried to state that I still owed for my mom's burial plaque. I reminded him that it was paid for along with the extra wording. After a brief research he confirmed that. Following my mom's memorial on the 17th of Feb (not at Bryan & Braker thank God) I called Greg to make arrangements for my mom's ashes to be interred. We set the date for the following Wednesday. My sister, brother-in-law, and myself arrived at 11am and the groundskeeper had a table setup and allowed us a few moments before interring my mom's ashes. It took about 2.5 months for my mom's plaque to come in and was just recently installed and it turned out just as we had asked. Which I appreciated. And is why this review was done now I wanted to ensure the entire transaction had been completed. Honestly I wanted to go through Vaca Hills Chapel because i know them and they are good God loving people who go to The Father's House. But my mom was very insistent that we used Bryan & Braker. So I honored her wishes. I just can't in good conscious give them more than 2 stars based on Yelp's rating scale. Greg needs to retire or go through some retraining on helping people who are grieving during the process. I personally will not be using them again. read more

I contacted the funeral home because I wanted to have my mother's ashes placed into a proper urn. Dealing with loss is never easy, and having someone we trust to handle the funeral arrangements is essential. We prefer doctors, mechanics, beauticians, and other service providers. Morgan and the Bryan-Braker Funeral Home will be our family's preferred funeral arranger. Horrible customer service, no empathy during a very difficult time. I left several messages with their answering service with no return call. Receptionist was passive aggressive when I explained I've left several messages & asked an approximate time when a funeral director will return my call. I was stunned. We have used Bryan Braker in the past & it's unbelievable how things have changed. Customer service begins with the person who answers the phone then a follow up. BB has failed in this.
