I have family interned at Skyview in Vallejo and have been seriously concerned about the total lack of care at that site for years. My complaints at the Skyview office had fallen on deaf ears. I was searching for a regulatory agency to make a formal complaint when I discovered that the State had taken actions against the owner and had taken over the endowment funds. FYI - As of today, the State took actions to shut down Skyview and three other cemetaries own by the same person. The professionalism and care these team showed us was outstanding! Chris was very kind and caring while walking us through the monetary parts as well as referred us to an Interperter service when we discussed we were looking for an ASL interpreter. They were even able to find us a plot close to another family member. Ed and his team were so accommodating and caring during the actual service. I can no longer say nothing about Skyview Memorial Lawn. Unless the lawn areas start to go green and property taken care of, I would not recommend Skyview Memorial Lawn for burial plots for your loved ones. The service reps may be good for setting up services inside the funeral home & the mausoleum but the owners have let the actual burial grounds get run down. We visit my MIL, FIL, & Grandmother at least 4 to 5 times a year. Each visit the grounds look worse & worse. They used to have what I call crab grass. Minimal maintenance other than running a lawn mower a few times a year. But you need to water in order for the grass to stay green. It is totally BROWN...The last few years we thought it was the drought. But they still haven't watered. The property is run down and the in-ground headstones are sinking into the ground & cracking. The picture shows the best of the worst that the grounds have ever looked in a very LONG time. The tree has had no foliage in a very long time due to non-watering. The weeds have been cleared around each of the flat headstones, since we were last here in Aug. There has been some digging of trenches for, maybe, water lines. The owners need to account for the property in it's current state. There is really no excuse for the lack of accountability or remorse to all the families they have served. It's really sad to see loved ones buried in Skyview. I would rate 0 stars but Yelp does not go that low. read more

Excellent customer service. Great people and very helpful, they're my angels in times of difficulty. They answered all my questions, my dad died of Covid19 last month 1/30 and being far away from Vallejo, they're so kind to walk me through everything. This is our first death in the family, we're all lost. Clara she's a sweetheart, I just love talking to her, Director Chris is amazing and very caring and Holly she's great and always ready to help. I'm glad I picked this place, it's so clean and peaceful. We got a glass niche inside the mausoleum for my dad's final resting place and it's beautiful. Im shocked that there are only 15 reviews here! I honestly thought that there would be SEVERAL more like this one I am posting....THIS CEMETERY IS A COMPLETE MESS! The grass probably hasnt been watered since the last time it rained....There are obviously moles active in several areas as there are mounds of dirt piled up on headstones. The ground is sinking in areas which make it hard to even walk anywhere....Lots of headstones appear to be sitting on top of the dead grass and arent even lined up nice and straight like they should be....All of the concrete walls or structures are crumbling away....There is weed eater line all over the place which is bright orange in color and sticks out like a sore thumb. This place needs work!! There is no excuse why everything looks so trashed and dead! Just because Vallejo is in bad shape doesnt mean its cemeteries should be the same! read more

I was just at Skyview Memorial Lawn on Rollingwood Drive in Vallejo and I left there absolutely appalled by the conditions there. While I understand that California is in a drought, there is absolutely no excuse for the shape Skyview cemetery is in right now. It's dry behind belief and shows barely any care being done at the cemetery. Gravestones are sinking and there is unevenness between the grave sites, which can result in someone being injured while walking. What happened to the perpetual care of gravesites that we paid for? The most telling of the cemetery's neglect is the planter box containing the Skyview Memorial Lawn sign that greets visitors. When was that weeded last!? Our city and families who have used the cemetery for decades deserve so much better. read more

Excellent customer service and clean facility. Linda is a fantastic member of their team! We had my mother's viewing a few days ago there and used their kitchen to feed visitors. The funeral service arrangement process was flawless. We managed to coordinate the mass at St. Basil's Parish with follow up calls for updates. I love their selection of Catholic prayer cards and sign in booklet for visitors. Their team was supportive to help us lay out the photo displays and floral gifts nicely. read more

Skyview was very helpful, calm, and professional from my first distressed phone call to my final visit to pick up my Mom's creamains. They were very understanding and flexible around our emotional ability to make decisions and the attendants who came to the house to pick up my Mom were very professional and sensitive. They created a respectful departure the whole family felt good about. Not sure why anyone would want to bury a loved one here. They allow cars to come in at night to park near the back part of the cemetery and party. Loud music, drinking, smoking...right next to someone's grave. Have witnessed drug exchanges there as well. The owner and managers don't care, and people know they can go there to be out of sight from police. There is a full blown party going on at this very moment..7:30pm on a Sunday night. Bury your love ones somewhere where the management believes in the concept of resting in peace. Doesn't even deserve 1 star. read more

We had a very disappointing experience with Adam who handled the 1st day of my brother in laws memorial service USA World Classic. We were so surprise & angry to his attitude ... rude, unhelpful , not flexible & unprofessional during the services & even the closing. All our questions were answered by "Chris did not tell me"... is that a way to answer a bereaved family. He could have said "let me check with Chris & get back at you". My family was told to be there by 3pm for immediate families viewing & his response was " I am not ready & I will let you know with a attitude tone of voice. Then when he made an announcement about closing time with a rude tone of voice again... pls start cleaning cuz it is 8 pm .. I need to go home too!! Ed the director was very helpful, kind and made sure the memorial we were hosting ran smoothly. Any concern or question we had he immediately took care of it, the best he could. Before my mother in law past away in October, she mentioned she wanted her memorial held here. The day we stopped by to inquire information, one of the front desk ladies gave us a pamphlet. They let us know that the date we had in mind was available but since it was a Saturday we would have to pay, i believe an extra $400 on top of the services. Which is understandable, before we decided to place a deposit to hold our spot. We decided to check out a different location Colonial Chapels. Once we arrived there, the feeling we got was a bit eerie. We looked at 2 rooms.... the 2nd one being the bigger room, we halted to a complete stop when we noticed someones coffin was there... i don't think that was appropriate for them to show a room that someone is in the dark.... so with all these turn offs, we decided to continue services with Skyview. They are helpful at first. But their landscaper people ruined the grass with weed killer that drained all over my mother' grave as well as many other people's graves over the entire property; so its brown grass perhaps for the entire year after growing so lush and green this past winter. They do not follow up on my two calls of complaints and even claimed that they couldn't find my mother's grave. Also in the past the landscaper leaves their garbage, let the water pool with mud over people's graves, and runs over people's graves with their tractors. read more

One of my dearest coworkers suffered a loss in their life. The service for their loved one was on a Saturday. It's very beautiful here. The grounds are well manicured and it's just very serene. The architecture reminds me of the old Mormon churches out in Utah. Many people from all over my company came to pay their respects. There was plenty of pew seating for everyone. They put large TV's up that can be easily viewable by everyone attending. We were able to watch a lovely memorial of photos accompanied by music. The pastor, whom I wasn't sure was affiliated with this location or was actually requested by the family, was very enthusiastic. But I must say I'm not a fan of trying upsell religion at a funeral. It was lost on this atheist. Talk about the person and the love of family not how there's no way the universe was made from nothing. In the end, the actual end, this is a nice quaint little place to have a ceremony. read more

When my father in law passed away, we tried to book this place for the viewing and funeral. They told us that they were busy and they wouldn't be able to hold the service for 2 weeks. So we decided to call some other places because we didn't want to wait two weeks to hold a funeral. Five minutes later Skyview called us back and said they would be able to accommodate us in 1 week. Huh? Wtf? Did someone cancel? Did someone cancel their death? I guess when you're the biggest in town you can jerk people around like that. read more

This place is AMAZING. Although I was not involved in the planning process I was a guest and a family member who spent the entire 2 days of the service there. The facility is very nice and quite comfortable. There is a convenient kitchen area with all of the amenities. What really shined though was the staff. Everyone was so friendly and considerate. They respected our space while still checking on things and making sure their presence was apparent. Plenty of parking and the facility is well kept. I cannot say enough about the excellent service our family received after the passing of our beloved mother. Beginning with the transporting of her remains and throughout the entire process, Skyview's funeral director was more than I could have hoped for. He guided us patiently through the process with compassion and understanding. He explained everything clearly, concisely and with incredible patience. When twice the number of people attended the services as were expected, he remained patient, professional and managed it all with good humor. Although Ed introduced himself as the "new guy", his experience and innate abilities were immediately apparent. 5 stars are not nearly enough to reflect my appreciation for a stellar job well done!!!
