Having lived in OFallon since 1999 this is remembered as Cine 15...Marcus has cleaned it up, improved the sound and replaced the uncomfortable theater seats with reclining loungers. Huge improvements! The concession stands have standard popcorn and candy and the soft drinks are self service. There's also a full service bar located in the foyer. Marcus has run this theater for several years now and does a great job with their user friendly app and frequent customer program. They also offer a generous Veteran/First Responders discount as well as discounts for youth and senior depending upon their dynamic pricing schedule. I was impressed by Marcus Cinema. They have many food options, candy and beverages. The theatres are large and seats are comfy! They even have seat warmers which is nice when it's cold. Large parking lot so no issues with parking. They seem to be under construction in the lobby area so hoping it's a nice remodel. Prices are on par with amc and other cinemas. read more

This location has changed so much over the years. This cinema is the home theater for a number of towns so it is very busy. I went to a 4pm Thursday show and it was crowded. I am happy to see the business full but it was a bit of a mess. There was popcorn and napkins on the ground (even in the bathroom). I saw a 3D show and it was lack luster and not the best experience so go see it on the Ultra screen instead of 3D. The have great food and drink options so please use the app and order ahead to enjoy the show. read more

Saw a movie here again recently and remembered why we don't go very often. Over $40 for 2 adult tickets. Whole place is dirty and sticky. Lobby is currently under renovation and has no carpet, just a concrete floor. We sat at the bar for a long time and nobody came back to take our order. Sound and picture quality still needs improvement. Bathrooms filthy, floor incredibly sticky. Prices need to come down and quality of the entire experience needs to go up. read more

We went to see Wicked on the day before Thanksgiving and it was a sold out show. The place was packed with people but still plenty of parking. I recommend downloading the App. We were able to skip the long lines by using the App to purchase tickets and pre-ordered drinks, popcorn and snacks. Large movie screen and good sound system. We had comfortable reclining seats but noticed there was a lot of wear and tear. Some of the recliners were broken down, ripped, and is disrepair. The theater could have used a good cleaning - trash cans overflowing, popcorn and wrappers on the floor, bathroom out of TP and some icee dispensers out of service. The place was packed and I think they were a little overwhelmed. Will give them a try in the future and hope the have things fixed. read more

This was our first time seeing a movie here. Walking in we could tell the service was lackluster. We were not greeted, the floors were terribly dirty and full of garbage. The restrooms were not cared for. Urine all over the floors and toilet seats. Went to get popcorn and the clerk behind the counter said he would be right back as it was our turn but never came back. A supervisor had to come and take our order. Did like the recliner style seating and the sound was not too loud compared to other theaters. read more

I see that it says on Yelp that the theatre is closed... but I am here to tell you it is back open! A friend just had a milestone birthday and rented a theatre out to celebrate. The process was streamlined and efficient. All ordering is done online or through the app and you can do contactless pick up at the concession counter. The theatre has recliner dreamloungers which I'm a fan of. One thing I didn't love was that quite a few of them were broke in our theatre (theatre 14) so I had to move around to find one that worked. If I had selected a seat online like when you normally go I wouldn't have had this option and I would have been more irritated. I took my grandson today, to see dog man, and as much as we enjoy the movie, the only bad thing was I ordered the big popcorn for him and me to share, and it did not taste like it was prepared that day, and maybe 1/ 4 of a way through it I did get a hair of my mouth, I didn't go report it. First time back at a movie in three years. If you're the type of person who want to be on time forget it! First you have to suffer thru thirty minutes of advertising at a volume level set for those who are deaf. Theatre was so cold I thought my nose would freeze. Service at the refreshment counter was excellent. Two young women personable and quick. You still have to fill your own soda and then carry your items to the theater and try to open the door with your hands full. Seats are reclining and heated and about as comfortable as a city bus. You still have to book a certain seat not a fan of the reserved seat program. Don't bother with the website it's impossible to find the movie times are book a seat obviously nobody from Marcus corporate staff has ever tried to use the web site. I consider myself fairly skilled on computers and o couldn't manager either function. read more

Yelp should allow zero stars. We had an issue with a person sitting next to us. He was using his cellphone and had ear buds in both ears that were flashing bright blue lights in our faces. I asked him several times to please turn this off because it was disturbing us watching the movie. He flat out refused. I went to get an usher to ask if they could please help because this man wouldn't stop. I explained that he had his phone on and that he had ear buds in that were flashing a blue light at us and that we asked him to turn it off and he refused. I even told them what seat he was in. They followed me and stood across the theater from where the man was, they didn't go anywhere near him to even check what I was talking about. They stood there for about 90 seconds and left. I then left and asked them to speak to a manager, the male usher told me to follow him. Which I did, he knocked on a door that said private and the manager Lisa was standing at the door. I attempted to explain to her what was going on and rather than her listening she said she would hear it from the usher not us and slammed the door in our faces. Not the type of behavior I would expect from a manager. I was told I could get a refund on a gift card. Why would I come back here and spend my money? I didn't do anything wrong and because the employees didn't want to do their jobs and the manager was leading by her poor example, how is this acceptable behavior? How is this okay? Seriously why should I be the one leaving the theater because another customer can't follow the rules that aren't being enforced by your employees? read more

I've been trying to get in touch with someone through email for weeks, no such luck. I went to the movies May 26, 2023. I noticed some of our seats and cup holders were littered with popcorn. I purchased 8 tickets in advanced. But my real issue here is I uses the closed captions device. (I'm Hard of Hearing and wears a cochlear implant). Got the device, set it up, only to find out it's not programmed to work once the movie started. Left my seat and returned it for another one, missing parts of the movie, only to get another device that's not working. After the movie I told them about it and the teen said, "it's probably because the movie was new." Marcus Theatre known for months the movie was coming in May. I feel like no one takes the Deaf and HOH community seriously. Movies tickets are NOT cheap. I purchased 8 for my family. My family members wanted to return the 2nd device to get a third one, ( it wouldn't have worked either). I said no. I wanted everyone to just enjoy the movie. So for me, it was a disaster. I'm asking Marcus to make this right and make sure in the future to check all the CC devices and make sure they're in working order. read more

We went Friday 11 Nov and saw Thor movie. I reserve the right to offer more after another visit when the renovations are done. As it is I think I like this theater, especially for blockbuster type films. Really big, clear screen, solid sound system, not the best I've ever experienced but good enough. The seats are the best thing. The reclined "lounger" thing is very much like being at home in some ways. I wouldn't go see a - people talking to each other movie- here, might fall asleep. We went on matinee, you likely pay more at premium times; but you get what you pay for. It likely keeps the riff raff out. read more

Workers were friendly, BUT the theatre was disgusting! I got there for an 11:20AM movie so everything should be fresh but the bathrooms were DISGUSTING. I get not being able to keep up by the evening but first thing in the morning there shouldn't be toilet paper all over the floors, poop on the walls, and the toilets made me want to hold my bladder. Then once in the theaters the seats were gross and sticky! The lights were all through all the previews and the first part of the movie until someone went to complain. read more

When we bought the tickets. There were 2 empty seats between us and another couple of seats. Which is how it should be because of covid. And how it was before this last time the theater closed. But when we arrived some random person was sitting directly next to us next to her friends. Like she bought a ticket in a separate area maybe. But came up next to her 2 friends. She was coughing and sneezing the whole time. Really made for a horrible experience. We come often and are so excited to finally be back into the theater, but there needs to be someone monitoring the rooms to see if this kind of wacky stuff isn't happening. I went to a showing of the new Godzilla movie last night and the movie itself was excellent! My experience, however, was not. During the movie a woman 2 seats down from me felt the need to talk and give commentary throughout the entire movie. She also answered 2 phone calls which both rang out loud during the movie. I left the movie to go speak with a manager who told me they would "send someone in there to monitor it" which did nothing. She continued to yell out during scenes, give commentary to all the dialogue, and disrupt the movie. I wish they would have done more. read more

So first time back at this theater since the lock down. Big Marcus fan, prior to lock down that is. Not good. Whatever firm they hired for covid safety standards sold them the platinum package with all the options. No where that I have been has had such over the top nanny state guidelines, warnings and inconveniences, and I am including hospitals. No one seems like they want to be there and apparently Marcus doesn't want anyone to order concessions. The only way to get concessions is to buy it through the app. And the app sucks. No reason for this, you stand in line everywhere else with a mask, the theater has hardly anyone in it, but fine will try the app. First try to get a signal in the building, cell is spotty and free wifi is spotty at best. Select a time to pick up your food, and despite no one ordering food be prepared to wait at least 30 minutes to get your coke. Not kidding, soonest was 20 minutes and when I was checking out 2 minutes later it said 30 minutes. Filled up my cart on the app, entered the selected information, waited, got a message that it couldn't process order and I could retry. NOT SO FAST it deletes your cart and you have to add it all again and you better do it fast or it will put your order off another 10 minutes, again despite no one at the concession stand. Second try, fail, third try different payment fail, thought about switching to the public wifi, but then thought highly likely to have credit card info jacked. Never could get a coke or anything else. Seats are still comfortable, screen was good. You are suppose to wear a mask while watching the movie despite being at least 6 feet away from the person next to you and not talking to them. Very odd. CDC recommends distancing or mask at the time of this review. Overly paranoid. Won't go back until the current political pandemic is over, most likely after the election. Will try some of the other theaters in the area. Interestingly The Marcus Ronnies last week had the app not working and they had a place to check out in person. Maybe better manager. I've got sympathy for these establishments, because they are absolutely taking a bath, but when they make it excessively hard beyond reasonable scientific standards to enjoy the experience they only have themselves to blame. Making it excessively hard also leads to the most carried in food and drinks I have ever seen. Like the review below, don't tell me it's the state because I have been to other theaters recently that took orders at the counter. DO NOT interpret guidelines as laws. BIGGEST BS I'VE EVER HEARD. Two nights ago I went with my two friends (all 17 years old) for a 9 o'clock movie and had no issue it was a great watch. I then go with my boyfriend (also 17) for a 6:45 showing on a Sunday night, we both get ID-ed and don't think much of it until we are told we have to be 18 or supervised by an adult. You are telling me that we can operate motor vehicles, donate blood, and work jobs. But we can't go see a PG-13 movie past 6pm... 6PM?? What is going on at 6pm that you have to have this "policy"? Obviously half of your workers don't even follow this rule when I was perfectly able to get in just TWO NIGHTS AGO for the same exact movie. Oh wait no I was dressed up just a little bit nicer. So basically this movie theater is putting out the idea that you must either have a fake ID or dress like a slut to go see a movie on a Sunday night. The movie theater is ridiculous. We have gone there several times and they told us we had to be 17 years old ONLY after 6:00 pm to see an R rated movie. We went there today at 5:30 and they told us we had to be 17 years old to get in. They find so many loopholes just to get you to not see the movie. This is definitely the best movie theater in the Belleville/OFallon IL area. If you catch a matinee it is the cheapest. This place is definitely on the pricier side. I would recommend going down the street to the plaza that best buy is located, walking into the dollar store, and filling your bag of goodies along with drinks before going into this theater. Nachos are $7! I couldn't even look at the menu anymore after looking for those. As far as comfortability not the greatest, just standard. I watched "The Grudge" tonight and I left the two times to tell someone who worked there that I could hardly hear the movie. It was not a full movie at all. There was maybe 6 people in there totally. Each time a worker said they would turn it up. It was a empty theater and it was a scary movie and It wasn't scary AT ALL because nothing popped because we couldn't hear anything! It was depressing. It could have been jumpy if we could hear anything. But they didn't listen. You have to reserve your seats because it fills up but why????? You can't even hear anything. And I don't write reviews unless I have an amazing experience or a terrible one and unfortunately it was awful when it could have been super good....empty theatre with reclining seats and a good movie...but sucked because they didn't make it up to par..unfortunate. read more

So upset with Marcus theaters. My daughter went in last night and was yelled at my a blonde woman acting like she was sneaking in even though she had a ticket. She ran after my daughter and touched her to kick her out. Then went ahead and screamed to her coworkers that my kid was sneaking into the movies. She apparently wasn't old enough but being so close to her 18th birthday for a pg 13 movie is just ridiculous. I also don't know what kind of employees you all hire to announce to the whole theater like my kid was doing something illegal, when she clearly had a ticket and was not trying to "sneak in" I think you should have a talk with your blonde employee that talked to my daughter like that. It is not professional and honestly appalling that she would scream that and chase after my daughter. If I was there and saw it, I would have been irate. My daughter also noticed they let some young white girls in without checking ids. My daughter felt that she was singled out because she was Hispanic. And honestly from the story I was told I'm inclined to believe it. Why would this blonde white girl single out my daughter when there was clearly more people in that theater. She also said she wasn't even the one checking tickets, so why would she go out of her way to chase down my daughter and embarrass her like that. We will not be returning until you fix your employees attitude towards guests and what professionalism should look like. read more

This theater and company will be easy to avoid in the future. Went to see "Skyfall", the movie went off 25 minutes late. Then two hours into the movie the LimeScreen slide show started playing over the final action scenes. The manager was a jerk and then Guest Services, "Linda" was a credit to losers and if her attitude is a reflection of Wehrenburg corporate, I'll gladly drive to the nearest AMC. I really liked when she compared their policy to Macys and suggested that maybe I should not come back. Also, as others have noted, the theater was dirty and the bathroom nasty. My biggest issue with this theater is the ticket price. Unless you're going to a matinee (before noon), you're paying an arm and a leg to see your movie. Add in drinks and popcorn? You're looking at the same price as going out to dinner! I don't think it should cost this much to go to the movies. The 10 Cine in Fairview Heights boasts ticket prices less than half that amount, although their movies are usually slightly older. I would almost always opt to wait the extra month or so and pay two dollars at the 10, but I'm not exactly a movie aficionado either. The outside could stand some improvements as well. Went to see Hunger Games here opening weekend. The theater is ok, nothing to write home about. The main issue I had with it was how dark it was coming into the theater to be seated. Was with bf who has disability and so we always sit in the row of seats immediately inside the theater and somehow the ground walking to them was uneven and as my eyes adjusted I finally saw what looked to be old brackets from seats being bolted down that were left behind. We sat there for some time waiting for the show to start and pretty much anyone who came into the theater seemed to stumble in and head up the stairs slowly. We saw several people trip over the fore mentioned brackets or whatever they are. Picture quality was as expected for a smaller theater. Didn't do any consessions (I carry a big purse) so can't comment on that. For opening weekend of a major film I can say we got in without much problem and there was a lot of seating available, they had showings mostly every hour - so they seem to know how to keep up with the demand of a new release. Will be back because it's so close to home but I really wish they'd turn up the lights before the show starts. read more

Went to the 3:25 showing of Ford vs Ferrari yesterday. This movie theater was very busy but I had ordered tickets off of my phone and we got right in. The only fault that I had was possibly the popcorn instead of digging to the very bottom and having little crumbs in my container each time I come here would be nice if I paid $22 and had decent popcorn with a lot of butter when I asked. This movie theater is very updated very clean everybody's very friendly. The seating in the movie theater is very spacious and the sound was amazing. Have been to this location numerous times and I'm very satisfied each and every time. Again the only thing I would change stop digging to the bottom and putting little kernels and pieces of popcorn into the bucket, if you are going to charge $22 for two sodas and a popcorn let's make sure that it's edible. read more
