This is a two-day event in Forest Park (Central Field, behind the Muny) where they race hot air…read moreballoons! The first day is just festivities and after dusk, they fire up the balloons and light them up for GLOW. From here, you can walk around and talk to the pilots and see the balloons up close! The parking is not bad, especially if you are early enough to park at the Festival and Parking Plaza (at the top of the Muny). You can bring your own chairs, tents, blankets, food - picnic things you want to be comfortable and enjoy the sights and the vibes. Like, we saw whole tents spread throughout. There are SO MANY vendors, so if you don't want to pack your own food, you got choices There was also a huge area for kids to play and hang out. There are two different vibes though for GLOW. The closer you are to the main stage, the more lit it gets. If that really isn't your vibe, stay on the side where all the kids booths are. It's so relaxed and calm lol We won't be going to Day 2 because it's supposed to be 95 degrees but I highly recommend Day 1 to see the glow and fireworks!!

Once we decided to leave, it was extremely difficult getting out of that area because there's something going on at botanical Gardens and of course the Saturday farmers market at Tower Grove Park. The art museum is such a beautiful collection of ancient sculptures and artwork. We went during the Ancient Rome exhibition and it was breathtaking to see the size of the sculptures and learn about the families, royalty vs their servants, what type of armor and jewelry they would wear. Alongside the pieces of art that are normally there, I love the museum and think everyone in STL should visit.

In front of the shops on Manchester, some of the restaurants set-up tables to sell drinks and/or food items for purchase. Musicians are strategically placed throughout the event, and circus performers are usually located in a couple of different locations as well. Support our local art vendors by picking up a gift or something for yourself, and enjoy a night out.

This is also surprisingingly near the Fox Theater! We were welcomed in very warmly! The attendant at the front desk explained everything: all the exhibits, what to expect, which artists are there now, and what to expect in the fall season. Honestly, she was delightful! There is also a small cafe inside where I got a small iced chai. After that, and browsing the 1st floor, we went upstairs. The 2nd floor features more locally made art from Middle School and High School art programs. It was really delightful to see the range of mediums! My toddler's favorite part was the playroom. Although, it is quite small, but it was just him with lots and lots of interactive and imaginative play! We look forward to see the next exhibit after installation!

I'm so torn about this. On one hand, this is a beautiful, historic hall. But on the other hand,…read moreit's not accessible for those with mobility issues. I attended the Jeffrey Osborne concert and was shocked to learn we had to climb several flights of stairs to get to the balcony seats. If I missed this when I purchased my ticket then I apologize. If there wasn't a disclaimer, the Sheldon should add this to future events. It should be a check box you must complete acknowledging you must walk up several flights of stairs. I saw people with canes walking up stairs. This is not safe. Once upstairs in the balcony, the steps leading to each row are very steep and the step to the lowest row is a huge drop without any warning. I understand we don't want to destroy the character of this beautiful building but something must be done to warn people. Suggestions: 1. Warn people in advance 2. Fix the step to the bottom row of the balcony so it's not a huge drop Or, stop using this building for events, especially the balcony.

Pit Masters holding classes. Bars and drink stations easy to access. Plenty of seating, restrooms, entrance points, and trash cans around the grounds. Looking forward to next year!
