Up until yesterday I had no idea this place existed. I came here for a private event and we were in the private room known as the outlet. At first glance, it reminded me of Dave and Busters as it was riddled with games galore and a bowling alley! The private room was spacious and came with a bar, a place to play bags outside, a pool table and a basketball goal. As people trickled in, I shot some hoops and played a couple games of pool. The food they served was standard bar fare: pizza, t-ravs, salad, pretzel nuggets, buffalo and cheeseburger sliders. Surprisingly, the food was pretty good but the cookies were trash. The people working the event were friendly and attentive. I wish we had a chance to play games on the outside but maybe we'll get the chance the next time we're in the area. If I could rate this place negative stars I would. First of all, servers are supposed to be going to the bowling alley section. We waited over 30+ min and finally had to ask someone for service. 1 server came 1 time after that. Continuously had to ask for someone to come back to our section. Second, when asking for someone the manager, Tiffany, would get upset because that meant she had to stop eating in the back and actually help. Third, after waiting multiple times of our balls getting stuck, they would add extra time, but the extra time would take that amount of time for someone to come (but of course, YOU HAD TO ASK, and then when we tried getting a refund, it was basically "go screw yourself" from Tiffany. Fourth, when asked about a complaint card the bartender says "ask Randy" and walks away with no insight. Mind you that's after spending so Much money on games for half the machines to be broken. Edison's is a complete joke and waste of money. Customer service isn't like it used to be. Fuck this place. And fuck you Tiffany. read more

Edison's Entertainment center is a fun spot for both kids and adults to enjoy themselves, there is very impressive deals on food and entertainment every day of the week. There is lots of games that gives tickets to turn into the game prize counter for prizes. There's lazer tag and a bowling alley as well. A full bar and restaurant is available to enjoy tasty eats at reasonable prices. If you are looking for a fun place at a reasonable price then Edison's is the place to be. read more

Myself and the group that I was with, had a horrible time at Edison. We attempted to eat at the restaurant and have issues being seated, even though there were several empty tables and a whole section closed off. We waited for more than 30 minutes to be seated. Even when we were seated, nobody gave us minis. We waited for 15 minutes before we went to ask for menus ourselves. Even then we were only given two menus, even though there were three adults at the table. When we were ready to order, we had to go find a waiter cause no one ever introduced themselves or came to our table. We finally got a waiter more than 30 minutes after being seated we order our drinks. When my wine came, the glass had lips stains already on it. I took the glass to the bar because I didn't wanna wait for a waiter to come 20 minutes later. I let the White staff know about the dirty glass, they saw the lipstick stains and apologized. When when we had finished eating, we waited patiently for a waiter for more than 15 minutes before I went to the bar and asked for a way to be sent to our table. We asked the waiter when he came to the table for a check he come back to the table 15 minutes later without a check and I had to flag him down 10 minutes after that to finally get a check. The food that I did receive was good, but the service was absolutely horrible. I will never come back. Also, there's a big issue with phone service - my phone absolutely had no service and I was forced to use the Wi-Fi at the establishment that was also going in and out. read more

We took our little guy here and he really had fun. He enjoyed playing all the crazy games. He ended up with a whole bunch of tickets and had a blast picking out what gifts he traded the tickets for. Second time visiting, and it is our last. This time we opted for the "3 hour unlimited play" deal as the games get pricey. Paid the extra for the "black card" so the kids could win tickets. Well... it didn't take long for the black card to be out of play points, so I inquired at the desk... and the attendant explained the green card is unlimited but the black card has 100 point (and games take 7-10).. so...off we go with the green card to just play, right? Ha... an hour ish into play, the green card is empty, too. On a 3 hour unlimited play card... that I paid $30 per child for.... oh... and the games... many are not even I'm working order. read more

Bowling is always fun here. Some night you'll have to be sure to reserve lanes and they get pretty busy in the evenings and weekends, but otherwise it's a great family venue. They have a fairly big arcade and probably 12 lanes for bowling. You can also rent/reserve them for parties and such. They have waiter service to the bowling lanes but waits between drinks and food orders are pretty long. The bowling lane waiters/waitresses usually tend to other tables as well and in my experience that usually comes at a sacrifice to the bowling lane service. read more

At the suggestion of a friend, John H. took Therese H. here on a Friday night. His friend likes similar bands, so John H. imagined he must know something about food, too. We entered relatively early, approx. 5:15 PM, and were seated immediately on the patio, which features a lovely fireplace and television above it. Service was fast and pleasant, and our meal was quickly fired up by the chef on the patio grill. The "al fresco" menu at $19.95/person is quite a deal, and certainly every bit as good as any meal delivered by any of my uncles, and I have six. Here's how it went: *Water, lots of it, with a two drinks each: house cabernet for TH and Schlafly's "Edison's Common" for JH. *House Salads, Gluten-Free (no croutons) for TH *Appetizers: Stuffed Portabella Mushrooms w/ creamy crab dip stuffing and parmesan roasted tomatoes; Bacon-wrapped Chicken Livers w/caramelized Asian-ginger sauce glaze. Both were GF and good. *Beef Kabobs for both of us, with hoisin glaze, onion, and button mushrooms, GF. All very good, portions not huge, but reasonably sized, especially when considering the $19.95 all-inclusive price! We took a box home with ¼ of the kabobs and half the appetizers. Moving from table to chairs in front of the fireplace/TV/Blues playoff game, we finished up with splashes of Scotch, and that's not part of the $19.95 deal. 3/10/17 We came here tonight to celebrate my sister's birthday. This place provides food, games, bowling, and laser tag in all. We began by dining in. The food was pretty good. We all mainly ordered apps, pizza, and wings! My niece actually decided to take on their food challenge by ordering "the Big Ed". It's a huge burger with fries that if you eat it all in less than 30 minutes, you win a $50 gift certificate. Sadly she did not make it. But it was fun watching her try and us egging her own. The service was dismal tho. Our server was nice but food and drinks nd refills were so hard to come by..especially refills. We also bowled and after 10pm its unlimited bowling for 10 bucks. Not a bad deal. Woud I return? Sure for another get together it can be a lot of fun. read more

So a typical Edison's experience is waiting two hours for a bowling lane while your kids drain your wallet in the arcade and laser tag. But since there's nowhere else to wait beside the restaurant, you have to aimlessly wait for a table in the restaurant area, where you cannot sit at the bar and order food and move it to your table. You just have to wait for the table. Then once you have finally seated and ordered food, you can then pick it all up and move it to the bowling area because you can get a lane now. But don't spend any time eating your food because you are paying 12 bucks an hour for your lane. The food was decent. read more

I love this place and we try to visit once a month. My family likes going here because it's cheap clean entertainment and something for everyone. The food is the typical bar/grill type food but I think it's better than most. I love the fact this place does a great job catering to not only kids but adult fun as well. Edison's has a ton of stuff going on, so there's something for everyone. I've eaten here a couple times and the food has been fine. There's a couple spins on typical food like the Salmon BLT, but fairly standard food items. There's a full bar if you're just looking to people watch or need to get away from the children for a second. Speaking of, they have plenty for the kids to do. The arcade and laser tag arena are definitely for the young ones. There's also a bowling alley with projector screens set to the sports channels above them. Thursday night bowling leagues, so they're super crowded on that night. It's not super expensive, I'd invest in the all-day passes for laser tag or bowling, and there's plenty to keep you busy. I typically enjoy going bowling at Edisons, and have many times before, but today was probably one of my last. My group arrived around 1pm and each payed to play one game, asking if it was okay if we paid for our next game once we were about to play it. We were told that was fine and went to our lane. We ordered a pizza and played our game. Our pizza came out halfway through the 10th frame (about 40 minutes later), so I went to pay for an additional game. The woman, who I assume was the manager, told the cashier that we were not allowed to purchase another game. She said, rather aggressively, that people were waiting for our lane and we had to vacate it. I made a comment about just having gotten our food, and she shrugged it off and told us to eat it at a different table in the same rude manner. Normally I would understand, but they didn't appear to be busy, and we had just gotten our food. I went back to my lane thinking we would have a few minutes to gather and move our pizza, drinks, and belongings. However, the manager sent an employee to tell us to move "right now" and ushered us away. We sat at a table slightly annoyed but then became angry as we realized there were 3 other lanes completely open. Not only that, but our lane was not even taken, nor was it taken the good 30 minutes we stayed after that eating our pizza. All in all it was a pretty poor experience. I don't think this is typical of Edisons, and I don't want to hurt their business, but this manager really needs to be re-evaluated because we were just trying to have a nice time. We had even offered to switch lanes if that was the problem and were told no we could either leave or go play games in the arcade but bowling was not an option. read more

For the Outlet at Edisons... Amazing venue for adults that enjoy a fancier bar setting with free games like pool and darts. Food was really good and specialty drinks were tasty. One downside was the price. I've been going to Edisons for years and the food never broke the bank but the Outlet sure does. I had a tasty but tiny shrimp taco...i paid 3 dollars for TWO pieces of shrimp and a sprinkle of cheese on a taco. The kabobs were the only item on the menu that was not overpriced...a cheeseburger is almost TWELVE DOLLARS! The drinks were not terribly overpriced all were about a dollar more than area bars. Fries were really good, had a new batter and were tasty though. Overall, food is good, atmosphere is good, but the food is really overpriced and the drinks are a tad much. (I don't mind paying more for drinks if the food was cheaper) read more

Great place to go to for fun with friends, bowling, laser tag, and the arcade. They even keep some of the most relevant games in the arcade! I'm not sure if its just me, but I just wasn't impressed with Edison's. I grew up in a time when arcades were fantastic worlds of video gaming heaven. Games everywhere, one quarter for the older games, two quarters for the classics, and three for the new games. Ski ball paid out tickets that would get you cheap prizes, but you could walk out of a night at the arcade with at least a decent sized teddy bear or a bag of whoopee cushions and fake barf. All that in mind, walking into a place that touts an "arcade" where a good portion of the games are designed to keep the toddlers happy while the big kids played laser tag, it was disappointing. I took my 2 year old nephew to a whack a mole style game and I swear to God I hit every damned shark that popped up, giving us a score of 43 and walked away with 2 tickets. That's BS folks. B to the S. Other games do pay out better, but this arcade is nothing more than a mix of keep the younger kids busy type money pits and false hope "cut the string for the iPad" or other versions of the "crane" games that one might end up putting $20 into just to get a damned stuffed bear. I didn't have a chance to do the laser tag, so I could be missing quite a bit there. Actually, the kids running around the place did seem to be having a good time. I just cannot figure out why anyone would go there for anything other than the laser tag. Bowling looked like any other bowling alley but for prices that aren't even worth spending. SIUE is just up the road and about half the price. In all, if you have kids, I'm sure Edison's is going to end up on your list of places to go at some point or another, I just would highly encourage you to find a different option. The games are over priced, with very little reward, and the pizza was good but nothing special. read more

I've been here with friends on a couple of occasions for drinks, bowling, and arcade games. To put it simply, Edison's is way too overpriced. The games are expensive, bowling is expensive, drinks are expensive, and all of it I can do somewhere else right here in town. Maybe it's a different story if you've got a wad of 20's in your pocket and a need to thrill your gaggle of kids. I don't have either of those things, so I won't be trying to get my kicks here. read more

I wanted to love this place! From the outside it sounds amazing. We went for a birthday party. There is no sign to tell you where the particular party is located. So we wandered around for a little while not knowing what to do. When we were finally able to find the party, we were given our cards and laser tag passes. Some of us did the laser tag while others did the arcade part. Well they didn't even activate the cards prior to giving them out so the kids weren't even able to play games while the others did the tag. Finally somebody asked the host about the cards so we got a little bit to play arcades but then they deactivated again. Which was a pain to have to go stand in line to get them reactivated. Thankfully the kids all had fun. But this shouldn't happen when you're spending so much money to have a party there. And the kicker, another mother was playing an arcade game with her child and another older kid came up that was not from the same group and tried to swipe the mothers card and trade it for his. He was seen by many other adults and children. He gave the card back. Obviously caught. But then when an employee came over, he lied and said he didn't do anything. So the employee said "it's fine. Go on." And let the kid go. After trying to steal from other people. He was just seen by at least 4 of us trying to steal. So at that point, I packed up my kids and left. If I don't feel like I will at least be backed up by the employees when something like this occurs, I don't want to pay money to the establishment. I'm just happy the kids had fun. But I will not be going back here. read more

Came here for my 21st birthday and come back a couple times a month ever since. We always sit at the bar. Tuesday nights we come in for trivia, which we always have fun with. Thursday's they have $3 long islands and $.50 wings. I've always had a great experience here. This is also one of my boyfriend's favorite places, as this is one of the few bars in town that stocks bitters, so he can order what I like to call his "fancy, old man drinks" like Manhattans and Old Fashions. Although I do agree with previous reviewers that there should be a little bit more of a separation from the bar and the entertainment area.
