So, I did a horrible job with photos here! Must've been too hungry? A large group of us stopped in for lunch and had a lovely time. The open garage doors makes for a breezy, moderately cool interior. The service was good and the food was good too. I ordered the Brickhouse Shrimp Salad and it was light and tasty. Good bang for your bucks. Definitely a place to check out.

I hate when I can't leave a great review but our experience really fell short. For starters it's a great looking restaurant. And it's a lot bigger than I expected. I will give them another try but we will wait until the weather is nicer and they can open all the doors. All 4 of us wanted to try the steak. It's a great deal and comes with 2 sides and a salad. The first disappointment was when our waitress returned to tell us they only had 2 steaks left. Ok...so two of us changed to the kabobs. Then she returned to say they were also out of baked potatoes. I should say here that we went early (530) on a Saturday night. Seems weird to be out of both of those. The kabobs were pretty gristly and tough to chew. The mashed potatoes definitely needed seasoning. We also tried an appetizer that was marinara with goat cheese. Sounded good but it was flavorless. They also didn't give nearly enough bread to dip in the marinara. It was a frustrating evening but our waitress was great and I felt bad for her. We may go again because I've seen so many food reviews but we will definitely try different items next time.

The brickhouse buger was absolutely amazing. I need to return and try some of their other fare soon. Do wish they had a decent IPA on tap. I know, not everyone likes that much hops in an ale... Service was excellent. Just the right amount of table visits to see how we were doing. Will return and will recommend.

Great place to sit outside and enjoy a meal and a drink with a dear friend. The wait service is attentive and helpful. I highly recommend giving Laux Brickhouse a try!

Very noisy and the open area lead to many flies. Not a good eating environment. The food was just average. Waitress was good.

My recent visit I enjoyed the Pork Loin Sandwich. It was a typical pork tenderloin sandwich, extending beyond the bun. The one here is served grilled, not fried like the majority of other restaurants. The seasoning and glaze were full of flavor. It surprised me with how juicy and tender it was. If you're a fan of Pork Tenderloin Sandwiches, this is a must try. A previous visit I had one of the steak specials. I ordered the 16 oz Filet and giggled when it was served. I was given two 8 oz filets on my plate. I didn't care, it still was 16 oz. It actually worked out for me, I ate one and took the other home and had steak and eggs for breakfast the next day. For my two sides, I choose Baked Potato and Green Beans. Half of the potato went home and gave me American Fried Potatoes for breakfast. They have a good variety of beers on draft, bottled and canned. In addition, they offer a full bar for adult beverages. The service is hit or miss. It was obvious who was a regular by the attention and quality of service they received. They need to treat everyone the same, so the newer customers become repeat customers, too.

It's made with Angus beef topped with Pepper Jack cheese, Grilled Balsamic Onions, Mild Banana Pepper Rings with a Sweet and Spicy Sauce, all served on a Onion Roll. It was served with a side of Fries. I was impressed by the size of the burger and that it was hand pressed. A hand pressed burger always tastes better to me. I requested that it be prepared medium rare and it was done perfectly. The fries were soft, I'd prefer mine a little crispier, but they were seasoned well. I got a giggle from their ketchup bottle, it said it was "Fancy". They have an impressive variety of beers. They offer draft, bottle and canned. I personally always go with one of the many craft beers they have on the menu. When dining alone, I always sit at the bar. The bartenders are typically female and are friendly. I am fan of hooks under a bar and Pump House takes it even a step further. They also offer, outlets. If your phone needs a charge and you've got a cord, you are set to go. Offering outlets under a bar, is top notch customer service. Now that I know they have great burgers as well as their wings, I'll have to rotate between the two when coming to dine.

I gotta come back at night time when there is a bustling bunch of bowlers in the bar area. I was the only one in the grill at lunch time, so the bartender was busy stocking and the cook had to come out and do double duty as a waitress. I will say, my beer was cold and the frosted glass gave it an extra chill. I had a cheeseburger that was a hand patty. My garnishes were onion and lettuce and I had a side of fries. It was all served hot, but not as quickly as I would have thought being the only diner. I think with the workers do side and prep work made things a little slower. That is why I'll return and give them a second try.

I met the day bartender at another bar during Sunday Brunch and she sold me on adding Wigglers to my bucket list of places to experience. So when I walked in Monday for a late lunch, I surprised and put a smile on her face. I took a seat at the bar and she proudly told me the daily specials and even shared the specials for the rest of the week. The Monday special is a Cheeseburger for $6. It came with a side of fries. I choose the Seasoned Fries, which are hand-cut and made in house. They also offer, Crinkle Fries which come from a bag. Typically I like Crinkle, but when you offer me hand-cut made in house fries, it is a no brainer. The burger was juicy and my toppings of pickles and onions made it more delectable. In addition to my burger and fries, I enjoyed an order of Onion Rings. I am a Onion Ring snob. Whenever I order rings, I always ask if they are from a bag or made in house. If they come from a bag, I'm not ordering. I was excited to hear that Wigglers makes and batters their rings in house. Ordering the rings, opened up a conversation with the other four men seated at the bar. We all seemed to enjoy our rings house-made, so we started sharing our favorite restaurants who has the best rings. All the other men were regulars and they treated me as if I were a regular, too. It was a welcoming experience. My order was so large, that I passed the basket around, so they could enjoy a ring, too. I was impressed. It was one of those mornings and I had a craving for, Chicken Fried Steak. So I headed out of the house, to enjoy a nice breakfast at a diner. I hadn't been to B Town in a while, so even with the current gas prices, I made the drive to Bethalto. Their Chicken Fried Steak came with eggs, so I had mine scrambled. It also came with a choice of Hash Browns or American Fried Potatoes. I asked the waitress what her favorite was and she said, American. The American Fried are done totally in house. That sold me. It also came with toast, but I took a pass. They provided a steak knife with my breakfast, but it wasn't needed. The meat was tender and it was easy to break off a bite using just a fork. My eggs were fluffy and the potatoes were a good choice. So, always listen to your server. One thing I really like about B Town, is they do not overly season their food. I like the fact that I actually need to add more salt or pepper to my entree. I hate it when some places overly salt food. Good Food, Good Prices and Good Service will have me coming back for another breakfast. I might even come and check-out their lunch menu.
