chicken strips, sweet potato fries
Brittany P.

Great Grafton eatery with a river views! Inside there's tons of tables, a full bar, and a 21+ gaming area. Outside there's a covered balcony overlooking the river with about 15 tables - ranging from 4 tops to 6 tops. Under the balcony there are 4 massive sized swings that are so fun, about 15 more tables and a full bar. The atmosphere is a vibe, fun and funky - netting hanging above the balcony with decor throughout. The bathrooms are really clean. Now onto the food, you've got to try to hit cheese balls served with ranch and marinara. They are so yummy and the ranch is AMAZING. The pork tenderloin is fabulous and served with incredibly fresh lettuce and onions. The chicken strips are really good too, and you should probably try the sweet potato fries! They have super large drinking cups which we really appreciate!

We wanted to have fish from the Mississippi River and the only thing on the menu is Buffalo fish. There were so much breading on the fish I can hardly taste the fish itself. Also all that breading made the fish very salty and dry. Location was really great though.

Buffalo, fritters, potato salad, and slaw. Delicious!

Great food, cold beer, and great service! We got buffalo fish and catfish, fritters, and shared them. We got a couple of sides, which were also excellent. And don't forget the cheese cubes! They give you a lot of them and they are delicious! Our server was also the bartender, and he was very efficient and friendly, and was taking care of a lot of customers! The other servers around were also very friendly! And don't forget the wonderful view of the Mississippi river!

Went there for beer and appetizers after we hiked at Pere Marquette. I had Yuegling draft beer. And it was good and nice hospitality. Thank you

We stopped in here for appys and drinks on a day in Grafton. The location is a little further up than the main strip of bars/eateries. The view of the river is really nice. We ordered cheese balls and pretzel sticks - both were really good. Service was quick and friendly.

Stopped here a whim trying to find a quiet spot for lunch. Everything was top notch from the moment we walked in. Service was fast and friendly. The pickle chips we the BEST i have ever eaten. They tasted like they were made from fresh pickles tho he breading was perfect and you could taste the crunchy dill pickle inside. The Catfish was delivered promptly and was delicious. The coleslaw was very tasty and fresh. The view of the river from the deck was the perfect place for lunch. Was also very pleasantly surprised at the bill and how affordable everything was! Definitely recommend and we will be back.

Pork fritters- tenderloin strips hand breaded- delicious!

Second trip here and they did not disappoint. Today we had the classic burger. It's a half pound and cooked perfectly with all the trimmings and fries. We also had the pork fritters. They are pork tenderloin cut in strips, breaded and fried. Perfectly seasoned and cooked perfectly juicy!

Had some cocktails that were great. If nothing else, ya gotta stop in here and try a Crab Rangoon Pizza! It was SO different, and really good!!! Our server was helpful with my ordering of cocktails (I like a LITTLE sweet, but not TOO sweet) and attentive to our needs. Neat place. Try the swings downstairs on the back patio. OH, and great selfie opportunities (giant chair out front and Elvis inside).

Fried pepper jack cheese curds with ranch and marinara.

First time did not disappoint! This place is awesome! We ate on the expansive patio overlooking the mighty river. Stunning view and great service. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The food was really good. The fried cheese curds were top tier. The salad was refreshing. The catfish and fries were fresh and crispy. The menu literally has a disclaimer about not knocking the crab Rangoon pizza until you try it...it's good. Like, really good; and, incredibly rich. I'd suggest splitting it with a group as an appetizer or with another pizza. It definitely made me want to try their other pizzas next time! So, what is this mysteriously tempting pizza? It's a super thin and crunchy crust holding a thick mix of cream cheese, crab meat, and spices, topped with cheese and wonton shell - cooked to perfection. *Chefs kiss*

Excellent view of the river and delicious food! The only downside was not seeing any bald eagles out on the water.

My Husband ordered: Lobster, shrimp, seafood cheesecake??? The waitress said to order it, it may not sound to good, but you will like it. SPECTACULAR!! I ordered: Crawfish Mona There must have been a whole pound of crawfish swimming in a delectable sauce! WONDERFUL!! I told the waitress that I would marry the chef if he can cook that well. I believe I will try other bars from now on, but anytime we make the treck from Chesterfield to Grafton, we will eat only at the Grafton Oyster bar.

They have a huge dock which is nice for those with boats (I recommend reserving a space of any holiday weekends/summer weekends to make sure you have a space as it can get packed). Downstairs there's seating, showers, bathrooms, and a pool. Upstairs there's both an outdoor & indoor bar as well as outdoor patio and indoor seating. When it gets busy be prepared to wait for a spot as most people linger & drink. I love that there's the outdoor bar so you can at least grab a drink while you wait. The food & drinks are responsibly priced. Service can vary as sometimes we have a waiter that's on it and super fast & efficient and other times we aren't checked on and have gone to the bar for more drinks since we couldn't find out waiter. For food I definitely recommend the shrimp poboy! Overall a great place to go for some good food & drinks at a decent price. Will continue coming back every season.

I am a true martini man and I am embarrassed to admit, until yesterday I have never been. What is sad, is I have been to all the bars to either side and across street. You'd think with, martini is the name, I would have gone. It wasn't until it was recommended to me, that I asked others and continued to get rave reviews. I popped in early on a Friday and had a Dirty Martini lunch. It's a dive bar, so my martini was served in a plastic tumbler. Mine was in a larger plastic glass, because the bartender wanted to empty the shaker. I'm a snob and prefer a classic stem glass, but once I took my first sip, the glass did not matter. My martini was extra dirty and served with blue cheese olives. I had chatted with the bartender and she knew it was my first visit, so she treated me with regular olives as well. So it really was a martini lunch. If you're in Grafton, be sure to check out Bobby G's, don't wait as long as I did.

The Loading Dock was closed so we looked for something else nearby. We found Bobby G's and it was perfect! A very nice place inside with a unique "ICE CAVE" - a stone room used to store ice cut from the river! The bartender was very nice, the place decorated to make it warm and interesting, and the drinks cold! I'll be back here again sometime.

If you're heading to The Loading Dock Bar & Grill in historic Grafton, go hungry, grab a waterfront…read moretable, and settle in for a summer vibe kind of afternoon. We kicked things off with the chips, salsa, and queso. Fair warning -- the salsa has black olives, so you've got to be an olive person, but I absolutely loved the flavor profile. The queso is lighter and smoother instead of the thick heavy kind, which for me was a huge win. I ordered the hamburger and honestly... it tasted like summer. One of those burgers that just hits perfectly when you're sitting by the water with a cocktail in hand. My guests had the shrimp roll and the chicken wrap. The chicken wrap was OUT OF THIS WORLD according to my mother-in-law, and the shrimp roll was delicious, though a little on the smaller side -- but let's be honest, that's the world we live in these days. Cocktails? Spot on. My gin & tonic was fantastic. Crisp, refreshing, exactly what you want overlooking the river. We arrived around 11:30 AM on Saturday and the timing was perfect. We scored a table right on the water, which is absolutely the reason you go. The people-watching alone is worth the trip. The indoor event space is also gorgeous and would be perfect for a wedding, party, or celebration. My only real note would be the pace of service. Our waitress was incredibly friendly, but when you're sitting waterfront with sunshine and cocktails involved, you want those drinks flowing a little faster. There were definitely stretches where we waited longer than expected. Overall though? Great food, killer atmosphere, beautiful views, and one of the most fun afternoons you can have along the river. Definitely worth the trip to Grafton.
