I came here because I saw all the before-and-after pictures and thought, "Wow, they seem amazing!"…read moreHowever, my experience didn't quite match my expectations.
First, the appointment process felt like a factory assembly line. They schedule you super early, but you end up waiting for hours before you're actually seen. The consultation was rushed, and it felt like they overbooked clients, working quickly to get everyone in and out. I was already nervous about surgery--it's a big decision--but the process moved so fast that I barely had time to process what was happening or ask enough questions.
Of course, once the consultation was over, they rushed me to the payment section, which, unsurprisingly, was the smoothest part of the process. They offer payment plans, which makes it easy, but they also push additional procedures. I originally went in for liposuction, but they convinced me that I needed more work to achieve the "best results." In the end, I got lipo on my arms, flanks, and back, plus a tummy tuck. I honestly didn't think I needed a tummy tuck, but they made it seem like it was necessary for that perfect flat stomach--so I went for it.
Initially, I was scheduled with Dr. Vela, whose work I admired based on photos, but due to scheduling issues, I switched to a female surgeon. After surgery, I did see a difference, but it wasn't what I expected. I was bloated, and my body didn't look like the post-op photos they show--where patients are lying on the table with a super flat, contoured silhouette. The area under my breasts, which was my biggest insecurity, still had fat. My arms looked the same, though my tummy tuck area was noticeably flatter, which was nice.
I kept being told to wait for full healing, but a month later, when I could wear normal clothes again, my stomach fit well in them, but my arms were still tight, just like before. The fat under my breasts remained, and my hips were uneven--one side had more fat than the other, making my shape look asymmetrical.
Overall, I'm disappointed. I took a big risk to feel better about my body, but the results don't match the flawless after-photos they showcase. I'm planning to finish paying them off and then go somewhere else to fix the upper stomach fat, even out my hips, and possibly redo my arms. Right now, I still hide my stomach and feel self-conscious about it, which is exactly what I was trying to change.
