On 4/3/24, I called my local Marcos to order pizza for pick up and provided my telephone number as usual and was not greeted with the normal calling me by my name. I asked if there are any specials and was told no. I asked if they offered military discount and was told I think so. I ordered my food and arrived to pick up my pizza. I decided to look on line while I waited and saw there were specials, when I asked about specials again I was told that I only get those if I order on-line. I asked about Military discount and was told "I think that's on Tuesdays only". I get it, I was not rude and the young worker was friendly. The worker was the only face of the business I saw and needs to be more informative from the beginning or at least have answers to easy softball questions. Hopefully this is not the new business as usual and this post fixes what I see is broken. I am sure pizza will still taste good and yes I will be back. read more

I first had trouble with the app so I called in an order. The guy who answered told me I could do the online special and placed the order. He told me 20 minutes. I arrived about 25 minutes later and was told they were still working on mine. After another 25 minutes of waiting and repeatedly being told they were working on the order the guy who took my order came up and checked. He even remembered taking the order and told me that it wasn't in the system. So the made it quick which was another 15 minutes of waiting. I thought they may comp the order for taking over an hour when I stood there for 40 minutes but no I got to pay full price. Don't see me going back anytime soon. COVID-19 Status - Note that my order was for curbside pick up and I did not physically go inside. I'm not sure if they even have inside seating given my impression of the space from the outside. It looks pretty narrow. Delivery is an option as she asked if it was for take out or delivery at the time of my order. After months of seeing the Marco's Pizza (MP) getting ready to set up shop next to Publix on GA-144, we were delighted to finally receive a Grand Opening Menu flyer in the mail. We've had MP's pizzas before in other states and found it to be pretty good, so we're glad that they have arrived in RH to not only to add to the variety of restaurants, but to the pizza options. If you've read my other reviews, pizza is considered the additional food group in our house. - Parking - Center lot, but they do have 15 minute parking spots, directly in front of the shop which is great for take out and curbside pick up! - Service - The young lady that answered the phone and took my order was very nice and polite. She took my order and said that it would be ready in 15 minutes. I arrived 20 minutes later, nabbed a spot in the 15 minute parking spot in front of the shop and called the shop to let them know I had arrived to pick up my order. Not sure if it was the same young lady, but she said someone would be right out. I proceeded to wait another 20 minutes when I finally decided to call back (as I didn't want to call back 5 minutes later, sounding impatient, but I reached my limit at 20 minutes haha) and asked when a staff member would be out with my pie. She was very apologetic and came right out. Just to note though, during those 20 minutes I was waiting, I saw a continuous stream of people go in and out each with 1 box, 2 boxes, even 3 boxes of pizzas and what made the traffic more noticeable was those really loud door bells that goes off every time the door opens. I guess they got overwhelmed with the in-store traffic. In a pre-COVID-19 world, I would have been disappointed to be told an estimated time, only to wait a lot longer, but we are living in unprecedented times and showing some compassion and kindness is more important than an extra 20 minutes. - Eats - We got an XL Pepperoni pizza and it was great! My husband prefers a thinner crust, but I thought it was just fine. The bottom crust is a little thicker and the crust is pillowy, just the way I like it! The quality of toppings were fresh and were consistently placed throughout the pizza. If you're lucky, you got that Grand Opening menu flyer in the mail like we did, so take advantage of some of the great deals on it! Hats off to the MP's team for not only dealing with a Grand Opening (Congrats) but doing so during a pandemic and adjusting to a new normal of operating a business. Glad to have another pizza option in the area, but this could also be dangerous because they are literally right next to Publix. Marco's pizza is new to the Richmond Hill area and just opened on March 10th. They are located in the publix shopping center right next to Great Clips. I gave Marco's a try tonight and found the experience quite nice. Marco's offers both carry out and delivery orders. I placed my order for carry out over the phone. When I called the establishment they answered the phone quickly and the ordering process was seamless. I ordered my pizza got,a future time, and when I arrived at the appointed time it was hot and ready for me. I tried a pizza called the Pepperoni Magnifico. This pie comes with two types of pepperoni the flat style and the cup style. I found the pizza to be delicious. The sauce was just right not too salty or watery. Overall the pizza has a home town feel to it and I prefer it over most chains. The customer service was on point. They greeted me with a smile when I came in and I even saw some familiar faces. I was offered amenities and left not only with my pizza but with Parmesan packets and a couple of plates in tow as well. For a brand new restaurant they hit this one out of the park. First thing I will say is they NEVER answer their phone. We then went to order online and scheduled it as delivery. Noticed the pizza was not delivered so checked the confirmation email and it was switched to take out. Try calling the store- they don't answer AGAIN. Went in to pick it up and the kid at the counter said that they switched it because their delivery driver went home at 6pm.... And they turned the phones off. We are roughly 10 miles from the store and they say they can't deliver to us. But they drive past my road to deliver at least another 2 miles farther. The Asian restaurant almost literally beside them has no issues delivering to us what so ever. read more

Just arrived at Home2 and asked where to get a great pizza....only got a recommendation of the 3 national brands which are only average or below in my estimate. So I went to Yelp and found Marco's. We ordered the Deluxe and it was delicious! Crispy flavorful crust with lots of pepperonis, sausage, green peppers on a yummy red sauce. Ordered a pizza and two sandwiches. BOTH sandwiches were burned so bad, the bread was black on both sides and they could not be eaten. As soon as the sandwiches were unwrapped, I could smell the burned bread. The person that took it out of the oven and wrapped it to go to a customer should be fired! I live about 1/2 mile out of their delivery area, so I used Doordash for delivery. I was informed by the girl that answered my only options were to come in and they will remake the order, meaning not all of us would eat together or eat cold or nuked pizza, or have Doordash deliver it. I went to pick up my order tonight at the Richmond Hill location and no one preparing the food had gloves on. NO ONE. One kid walked over to touch screen and was using it, never washed his hands or put gloves on after and then went right back to making the pizza. DO NOT EVEN BOTHER WITH THIS MARCOS. Not good is putting it lightly. I'm not the type to leave a review, but my last two experiences with this place were horrible. I walked in recently and wanted to grab a pizza quickly. I asked the girl how long it would take, she said 10 minutes. I sat in my car and watched these kids that work there inside dancing around playing on their phones, no attempt to make my pizza quickly. Twenty minutes later I walk in and asked where my pizza was at? They looked at me crazy and had just put it in the oven Then they gave me attitude. I tried again today because I like their pizza, and wanted it delivered. The girl said it would be 45 minutes. An hour and a half later no pizza. I call and asked for a manager and the teenager on the phone said he was the manager. I asked where my pizza was and he said out for delivery. I call back 15 minutes later and he said he wasn't sure where the driver was at. I eventually asked for a refund after never receiving my food and once again the girl i talked to could care less and had an attitude. Horrible customer service.
