I walked in and my order was ready to go. The staff was super friendly and the space brings a sense of nostalgia with the vinyl booths and bar area. The pizza was SO GOOD. Crispy pepperonis, melty cheese, a crust that's just the right thickness. I think this may be a pizza winner for us. We will definitely be picking up Star Pizza when in Mayodan frequently!

Party of 4 tried the Star fries (extra crispy fries with extra seasoning). And a meat lovers pizza. The server was young and seemed inexperienced but she did a decent job, the fries were great. Can pit piping hot and were nice and crispy, the pizza was good too. The crust was crunchy and the meat was smoky and plentiful. All in all enjoyed the meal and would like to go back to try something different from the menu next time. Only 4 stars because they don't have fountain drinks and cost wise bottled drinks at a restaurant like this is not sustainable if you drink a lot of soda with your meal.

The chicken parm sandwich was hot, crispy, and packed with flavor. The marinara sauce and melted cheese paired well with the chicken, making for a satisfying meal. I'd definitely stop by again when I'm in the area.

So flavorful, comforting, and consistently delicious. Today I woke up to snow covering the ground, everything white and peaceful, and I instantly knew I was making a call-in order. Perfect cozy-weather food! For about $19, I got their lasagna, a fresh salad with French dressing, garlic bread, and a sweet tea. Sure, it's a little on the pricey side, but that's inflation for you--and honestly, the quality makes it worth it. If you haven't been to Bona yet, I definitely urge you to stop by and grab something to eat. Besides the lasagna, I highly recommend their cheesesteak sub too. The staff is great, the atmosphere is cozy, and the place is always very clean. Bona is one of those spots you can count on every time.

It had been a long time since our last visit, but considering, we were in the area, we decided to grab a few pizzas from Papa Murphy's. If you've never been, this spot a bit different than the other pizza places in the area. They will build you a custom pizza, with whatever toppings you'd like, but they don't cook it. It's a take and bake situation, so you bring it home, cook it in your own oven, to your liking. There is a bench to sit and wait if it's taking a bit, but no tables for dining in. Dining in is not an option at all. My wife wanted a peperoni pizza, so we ordered on with a thin crust, i wanted a thicker crust, so opted for their original crust with a ground sausage and onions. The staff was friendly, and quick to get our pizzas assembled. It wasn't long at all, and we were on our way with 2 pizza's ready to cook. They provide very clear instructions for cooking, and once we got home we put them in the over...about 20 minutes later and they were cooked to perfection and tasted great. It's rare we're in that part of town, but whenever we are, and get their pizza, we are always very satisfied with the price, options and quality. I wish there were one closer to High Point, but will continue to give them future business when I've got the opportunity.

I was traveling and we were waiting for them to open after they'd come to get me from the airport. Since I can't have this in NYC and you can get the pizza with whatever toppings you want on it (I got my signature pizza), I had a happy few days eating this despite suddenly getting a cold. Also worth noting that you will still get adequate cheese on this pizza without having to ask for extra cheese. My getting to go depends on where my family travels but I definitely like the brand and would go again if I had the opportunity to do so.

Second, just because restaurants have the same name, definitely doesn't mean it has the same experience or quality. Very disappointed in this Stromboli, presentation was a dud! The guy who took my order was nice but not sympathetic to the huge difference in cost with the special. The atmosphere is so dated and it's too dark even to enter. I'm sorry, but never again.
