Today I stopped by to try their buffet. I walked in and the place was 3/4 full. And the bar was full of food. Also the associates were really nice, friendly and helpful. Despite the crowd the resturant was rather clean. The Buffet price was $7.99 all you can eat-which included a drink. I guess because the bar was small the associate who rung me up asked me if there was thing I wanted in particular and they would make. I was like daaaannnng!!! Really. But at this time I hadn't seen the bar. The pizza at the bar was ok... There was meat lovers, pepperoni and two-three other meat pizzas. I thought hmmmn. All meat pizzas' ... Then it dawned on me there were nothing but big burley men in here... and even though I consider myself big - I was no way able to be placed into their category. I will say-just make it clear I'm not bougie- but I do use paper towels or napkins when I pick up the tongs at all you can eat restaurants. Why?? I am glad you asked because I see too many people sneezing in their hands, playing with their face--I just don't need those kind of germs... Holla if you feel me!!!! The pizza that I Special ordered is here. I got to go. Pepperoni and Jalapeños

Marco's is our go-to pizza place, and big plus! It's right down the street. Huzzah! My girls wanted pizza yesterday, but things didn't work out and tonight was pizza night. I ordered a veggie sandwich with double mushrooms, double olives, tomatoes, triple lettuce and spinach for me, a cheese pizza for the girls, and a pepperoni and pepper for the hubby. Dude. I thought they totally ruined the sandwich, and I was going to be upset. It no. Where homeboy chef messed up he created a masterpiece I say. A. Master. Piece. Was there lettuce? No Was there spinach? No. It was all mushroom. All olives. With tomatoes. By God. It was the best sandwich in my life I think. My husband stayed the pizza shall be had again this weekend. Yes. And so will that horribly messed up sandwich, sir. Marco's, thank you for messing up and showing me the light of my ways. Oh. And everyone liked their pizza, too.

I'm not a fan of buffets in general, especially pizza buffets. I've ordered delivery from Marco's in Pearland and was happy with it. I had a little free time between appointments, so a friend and I checked out the buffet here. The pizza was nice and fresh, but for sure, take out is the way to go. Buffet was just ok with not much of variety.

Pizza is better than Dominos. I really enjoy the flavor. It doesn't feel like they rushed on making like other pizzas.

They quoted 30 mins for delivery and my pizzas for here in 30mins exactly! The only complaint is I wish the mushrooms were fresh.

Updates of Texan eateries I like (1 of 2)…read more The food, the service, the small store ambiance, the parking situation, and the value are still excellent at Ivett's in League City. There should be no need to write an update. I see that my initial review was written about 5 years ago. This is about how they handle the transferral of totaled tabs to the credit card. When I go to the Houston area, I usually eat lunch at Ivett's twice a week - yes, it's that good. And it's doable because I tend to stay in their "Bay Area," which is south of the city near Space Center Houston and in the suburbs adjacent to large Galveston Bay. Here's what the deal is, and this happened last year and a year or two before that. When I get the bill, it's usually a number that has cents attached to it, thus an "uneven" sort of number. To this, I add a tip. If the final bill were to be $12.72, for example, I might add $2.28 to bring it to an even $15.00. (I've asked restaurant employees over the years if this is weird and they tell me they have customers who do this.) Fast forward to the charge hitting the credit card. In 2025, one charge went through a meaningless few cents higher and one charge went through without the tip altogether. I've never worked in a restaurant, so I don't know how the process works where the final bill is sent over to the credit card company. In this situation, I came out ahead. But that's not the point. I want the employees who were my servers to get their tips and get what I indicated on the copy that I signed. This same exact sort of scenario showed up a year or two before when I also visited twice ... with one lunch charge coming across without the tip. Another lunch charge must have been processed with an even dollar amount as the tip. Again, I came out ahead, if you even want to look at it that way, but I want the employee to get his or her tip. The price-quality-quantity here remains at 5 stars. That's why I have filed Ivett's away in my head. I've now landed on the pattern of lunch specials that I like in any given week - a chicken dish and the manicotti dish, so I come in for those. I did try the lasagna once and, since this is in the U.S. of A. and not fine dining, they use the thicker undulating sheets of pasta that I'm not a fan of. It's to be understood. It's what most Italian-American restaurants do. That dish might come in as a 4. I applaud Ivett's for being a small restaurant that is intent on serving its customers and its community. However, if the tip for that one customer's meal is $2.28, $2.74, or $3.11 because the customer is seeking to hit a "normal" looking final number, then it's $2.28, $2.74, or $3.11. And, if they don't enter the tip at all, then I feel bad because the employee didn't get their tip and it makes me feel cheap ... cheaper than I already am to some people. Fix this little clerical issue by instructing your employees how to do so ... and keep up the good work! I look forward to seeing you all (translation: y'all) the next time I'm in the area.

We had a weekly ritual of going to Franco's Italian Restaurant. I 1st went there when they opened very long ago. Not long after my 2 tours in Viet Nam. The family that owned Franco's treated me like family and I'm fluent in Italian and we'd talk endlessly. I worked closeby at JSC. So, we went to Frenchies Italian Restaurant and pleasantly surprised by the excellent meal and service. We had Chicken Parm, Veal Parm, and Seafood Fradiavolo. Growing up in Brooklyn, I certainly know good Italian food. We live a few miles from Sal & Judy's Italian Restaurant which is outside New Orleans and rated 5 Stars (Yelp) and Zagat. Sal greets everyone that comes in and their marinara sauce is sold in all the local supermarkets and Walmart. Frenchies was no different from Sal's. Everything was perfect! I told Sal and he went to eat at Frenchies on his last trip to Houston. He called me and thanked me, that's Sal. I was sad Franco's closed after 50 years in Clear Lake but Frenchies was a great find. If you're ever on the North Shore outside New Orleans, try Sal & Judy's Italian Restaurant and decide if they're equally as good. Or, take a look at their website! Everyone in NOLA knows Sal Impastato (from Sicily). If you find yourself near Little Italy in Brooklyn. NY try Evelina, Barano, or Carmentas Italian Restaurants. Frenchies food is comparable quality to better NYC Italian Restaurants! I'll add pic's later! Thank-you, for 1st class Italian food. Bravo, assolutamente perfetto!

Today I tried the Italian Chicken Skewers & from the Brruschetta Heaven banner I tried the Burrata, bacon, arugula and tomato. The Prosciutto & Pinenut pesto was excellent with the right amount of salt and attitude! The chicken skewers had a beautiful presentation. The bartender Hailey, that took my order was MIA after she took my order. She spent all her time having a long conversation with the hostess. I cut my visit short because the hostess was so loud and unprofessional! She went on at length about how she and her siblings don't look alike! She even described in detail how she and her sister took a trip to Costa Rica and someone mistook her sister for a girlfriend. Shen then said she showed someone a picture of her co-worker who looked more like a sister than her sibling. Ashley took over from Hailey and did a good job. Unfortunately there was so much damage done by her coworkers there was no way to salvage my experience. The atmosphere would've been wonderful. Had the staff acted professionally? There is dim lighting inside and the windows are tinted so it's not super bright. I went around 3 pm so while there was light outside, I still felt like it was later in the day. The service for the restaurant was decent. It seemed the staff was short because it took us a little longer than normal to get seated and throughout our experience, we did not get a ton of interaction from our waiter/waitress. The restroom cleanliness could have been improved since the floor did seem a little dirty to me. When it comes to the food, we got the honey ricotta cheese dip which was an 8.5/10 for me, it was light, creamy, and sweet that got to be paired with toasted bread. They do have a variety of wines to choose from and the $8 glass of house red is definitely a steal for that price. For the mains, I got the margherita pizza and my girlfriend got the Texas filet (medium cooked) with risotto. My pizza was decent but I felt like there was too much chopped garlic on it that sometimes overpowered the other flavors. My girlfriend had some parts in her steak that were rare which she was not a fan of. We did also get the New York cheesecake which kind of was the highlight besides the ricotta cheese dip.
