four slices of pepperoni pizza
Susan J.

This is solely based on the pizza eaten: XL half cheese, half pepperoni and XL meat. Overly doughy, unsymmetricaly sliced and lack of toppings. If you love extra crusty qnd tiny 1" slices next to 6"+ slices along with a meh cheese and toppings, then Marco's is for you! The price wasn't ridiculous, but for a lackluster pizza then it is. $20 for an XL meat and $14 for an XL 1/2 cheese 1/2 pepperoni. This picture is from leftover slices taken a few days after being in the fridge. So, will I order from here again? Unfortunately, most likely not.

best pizza i've had in a long time

the food is outstanding never tasted the most fresh pizza the cheese was oozing in my mouth they should have 5 stars

a cheese pizza in a box

Absolutely horrible food and service!! Used to love this place ate it all the time but after this last order I am done. I get them being busy but this is the 4th order that has been late and soggy. It's not excusable and I will not be going there anymore. Do not recommend!!

Large cheese pie
Mishel T.

Had the late night munchies and ordered delivery from here. Love that they are open late and have delivery. Just ordered a plain cheese large pie. Delivery was quick:) when i looked at the box it looked small for a large pie and when i opened it It looked like many other franchise pizzas out there so i wasnt expecting nothing great but when i took a bite the pizza was still HOT and the sauce had great flavor. The cheese was good and melted stringy. Pizza was pretty good only thing is that it was small for a large. The guy with the sale sign outside was dancing and inviting us over earlier in the day. It was fun to watch and eventually got us to order later on. I would order again:)

Double pepperoni!

6 kids visiting town and I decided the easiest way to keep them together was to buy some pizza. We got 2 XL pies with double toppings thanks to a coupon. The place is pretty noisy but I would not really think this was a good place to go to dine out unless with a loud group of kids like me. Felt a little sorry for the old couple and family with a new baby that also were in there. But the pizza was great! The service at the table good and really liked the register guy who worked out the best deal using coupons for us. We all loved it and will be back next time we visit. 2 to 3 times a year we come here so we shall see you in the spring!

I can't believe it took us a year to discover this place. The pizzas we ordered were perfect. We'll definitely be back.

Awful service. Worse managers. New to the area and you lost our business on the first attempt.

Love the food. Number one go to for the large gatherings we have at the house. Menu is diverse and thin crust pizza is the bomb!

As someone from Chicago, I take pizza seriously. I grew up on true Chicago thin crust, tavern-cut…read moresquares... the way I was meant to eat pizza. It makes my heart happy. You won't find that anywhere in North Carolina, and Davino's isn't trying to be that. What it is? The best pizza in the Lake Norman area. This perfect little hole-in-the-wall has great specials and consistently solid pizza. The crust hits that ideal balance of crisp and chew, the toppings are generous, and the flavor never disappoints. I can (unfortch) house half an 18-inch pizza myself. But what truly sets Davino's apart is their generosity and community spirit. Right at the front counter, they post a simple message: if you're hungry and don't have money, a meal has already been paid for you. Prepaid tickets hang there - some for two slices and a soda, others even for a full build-your-own 18" pizza. It's a beautiful, tangible act of kindness that can make a real difference for families in need. Makes my heart happy. Great pizza. Great people. A place that genuinely cares about its community. Wouldn't mind if they upgraded their fries to the crinkle cut kind they show on their website and not the long John silver kind, but I'll make do with the 'za. I'm proud to keep supporting Davino's.

The…read moreshopping center offers free parking, but I walked over there from the hotel where I was staying. I was warmly greeted when I entered the restaurant. I was seated facing the kitchen in a booth. I just loved the decor with the bricks, open kitchen, and warehouse ceiling. The wood, beams and bricks were reclaimed materials from Manhattan, adds old world charm. The Easter decorations were a nice touch. My amazing waitress created me a mocktail with ginger beer and cranberry. It was colorful and wonderful. It had some tang to it. The Italian restaurant has Neopolitan pizzas and Italian dishes. It was so hard deciding what to select from the menu. If I hadn't just had shrimp, the shrimp scampi would have been what I ordered. Then there was a lasagna with a bechamel sauce I really wanted. But the pizza won out. My waitress talked me into the salad I was debating, too. The salad was Dolce Crostata. It has mixed lettuce, goat cheese, pancetta, candied pecans and golden raisins. I like the salads with fruit, and this one was wonderful. Novanta means 90 in Italian, which is the 90 seconds it takes to cook the pizza. It goes into the 900-degree Italian wood-fired oven. The pizza was a true Neapolitan with the soft, airy crust and a little bit of char on it. It tasted as good as it looked. I wanted a second pizza after my first slice, but I had trouble finishing the first and had to take half of the salad to go. I did love every bite of the margherita pizza and salad. If I lived closer, I'd eat here weekly as the food is that good. This is a hidden gem.

This is a large restaurant with a great open layout, which makes it perfect for big groups and families. The outdoor seating area is especially nice, with comfortable chairs and a relaxed atmosphere where people can sit and enjoy themselves without feeling rushed. Inside, the place has a modern warehouse-style feel with brick, wood, and open kitchen views. You can actually see the pizza ovens working, which is always a good sign. The dining room has energy without feeling chaotic, and the sanitation rating posted up front was a solid A (96.0), which always gives you a little extra peace of mind. Our server Jessica was very friendly and attentive throughout the evening. We started with the meatballs and burrata crostini. I couldn't eat the burrata because of the dairy, but the meatballs were outstanding--very meaty, rich flavor and a terrific tomato sauce. A great start to the meal. My wife had the house salad, which looked very fresh. Mixed greens, tomatoes, and peas--simple but well done. She skipped the onions, which they handled without any issue. For the main course, she ordered the Marinara pizza, and it was excellent. The sauce had great flavor and the pizza had that classic Neapolitan look--thin center, charred edges, and simple ingredients done right. She enjoyed the whole thing. I had the calzone and paired it with a local beer, "What He's Having" IPA from Wooden Robot Brewing in Charlotte, which was a great choice. The calzone itself tasted very good, but it was a little uneven on the filling. I ordered double pepperoni, and one side had most of it while the other side had very little. That said, the crust and flavor were still very enjoyable. Overall, everything was very good. The atmosphere is lively, the food is flavorful, and it's a great spot if you're dining with a group or family. Bottom line: Novanta is a fun, energetic Italian spot with solid Neapolitan-style pizza, a welcoming environment, and good service. Definitely worth a visit.
