You can come here for dinner or lunch. Today we got the classic burger and a build your own sandwich. The serving sizes were hefty and we definitely left with a happy tummy. The food was fresh and high quality. The wait staff was accommodating and so friendly. We even got to speak with the manager who made us feel like family. There was a large number of pies to select from which honestly was the toughest part of the whole experience. We settled with the key lime pie which was such a great choice but will definitely be back to taste the other types of pies. Lastly, this spot was bustling. We came around the lunch rush so there was a line. However, the line went quick and the tables flipped pretty quickly. We didn't have an issue finding a table and the wait staff was on top of it. This is a family friendly spot that had a southern, homey feel to it. Can't wait to be back for those pies!!

The next trip was tonight. We stood in front of the pie & ice cream counter and no one came. There was 4 younger folks standing by the registers area and they did not even acknowledge our presence or the folks that walked in behind us. I finally walked the 4 feet to the register to get the young man's attention and let him know we would like ice cream and a pie. He seemed a little put out at first but, in the end was pleasant to deal with. Nice place worth trying. They just need a little more awareness on folks coming in and giving them some guidance on where to order and acknowledging their presence. Welcome and can I help you down here would go a long way.

One side order of potatoes was enough for two. They were seasoned and crunchy on the outside while being soft on the inside. They serve brunch on Saturday and Sunday until 330. The brunch menu is huge. It is not a super large menu, which I feel very endearing. We decided to try the bagel and lox with cream cheese, the Buzz burger with fries, and their homemade chips. They start off by bringing you this beautiful craft of bottled water. That to me was an amazing bonus. We also ordered two sodas which came in a can. I sort of wish it was a more of a fountain drink than one can of soda for the price. *Now service was super slow. However, the waitress did come and tell us that they are running a little behind and she apologized for it and she was super sweet, so that made up for the weight. How do I known how long it was going to take, I don't know if I would've stayed, but in the end, the food was amazing. The burger was cooked to perfection. My boyfriend is a hamburger snob and he kept saying how good it was how fresh it was and how perfectly cooked it was. They serve you shoestring fries that feel like they're double fried and they were phenomenal. My bagel was toasted perfectly and had a very good amount of cream cheese and lox. As a Jewish girl living in the area that I do, it's very hard to find good bagels with lox and cream cheese. I will most definitely be back for this sooner than later. The homemade chips took quite a while to come out, and at one point I was ready to say we don't need it, but these potato chips beat Buccees beaver chips, 100%. They were super fresh and very crunchy and tasted amazing. I will definitely recommend those to anybody that orders some. My boyfriend then ordered a tropical sunrise smoothie and it was so tasty and tasted like a strawberry banana smoothie. Now once again that did take a long time to come out and at one point, we were wishing we had not ordered it but once we did get it, it was really good and I highly recommend it. The restaurant is not very large and it's the perfect brunch spot for anybody looking for a smaller Cafe with very good choices.

I was very concerned with the cross contamination that occurred one visit, it had never happened before and I was shocked. The staff at this location know my face at this point and automatically keep my salad away from meat (I'm vegan and have allergies) but that day it was a different staff. I explained to one member but he did not relay it to the next one which created cross contamination. I left without my salad that day. I emailed corporate and they immediately responded. The manager and owner both reached out to me within 24 hours. They invited me to come back for a free salad and even when I got there to get the salad, they offered me cookies, drinks, anything else. I did not take it because I just simply wanted the salad that I had originally ordered, but the sentiment was really nice. The manager came and spoke with me and apologized. She explained that she had run the cameras back, so exactly what happened and was in shock. She knew that that was not the normal protocol, and she said that that staff member was retrained. Placed my order and the food came out quickly. The peach cobbler French toast was delicious and layered with flavor. The bread was still firm and not mushy, the microgreens and nuts added flavor and the caramel sauce wasn't too sweet or overpowering. The bacon was smoky and not fatty. The option for a French press for coffee was a nice treat and the addition of the Basil Hayden Bourbon shot was just right. Briana definitely lived up to her name of "The Goat" consistently mixing 2 to 3 drinks at a time while remaining friendly and engaging with her colleagues and customers. Brandon was a joy engaging with the customers at the bar and not missing a beat. Apparently, they have a random assortment of coffee cups and Brandon accurately chose mine. It really made me laugh. There is a dine in option however the place is relatively small and they have quite a busy "To Go" service so it is akin the having a meal along a busy sidewalk. Please don't misunderstand, if your option is to consume your meal in a facility or in your car it is likely more convenient but that ends the contrast. Because it is o "To Go" oriented for instance if you order gumbo (which I did) you will be given a small plastic spoon and salad (which I ordered) will be segregated (Like olives grouped together, feta grouped etc. ) in a container "To Go" container making it impossible to 'toss' without making a mess or using your hands. Let's address food which I have mentioned. Gumbo is akin to a Manhattan style fish chowder, not objectionable however not gumbo. The Greek Salad I gave already described with the addition of the fact that my dressing had solidified. When I pointed it out to the folks taking orders it was replaced however in this respect I'm glad I ate in...without a microwave it would not have liquified. Look, I am not an idealist, This is a sandwich "To Go" place I don't fault the owners at trying to make every square inch of a rental place earn money however the 'dine in' option is a convenience not an ambience. The 'gumbo' was not and the salad was a generous portion of lettuce, fresh vegetables, adequate feta however the initial dressing and the serving container for 'eat in' was disappointing. Next time I will order a sandwich which is a Deli goal.

So we decided to try the burgers during this trip. I will say this, I will never order another burger at this restaurant. We are huge fans of fresh hamburgers, and we always try them at most restaurants that we go to. So we got a Hickory burger, a bacon cheeseburger, and a regular cheeseburger. All of our burgers were well done to the point that they were hard to chew and they were not tasty. Normally at this restaurant, food comes out very quickly, but this time it did take a little longer and now I know why. I was very disappointed in all of the burgers and how they were really way too well done. The restaurant was super busy and we should've said something, but we did not because we had been waiting so long. We just did not want to wait any longer. The french fries were super hot and fresh, I will give them that. I think at this point, we will stick to the chicken tenders because those are super good, but the burgers were not good at all. Again, we really enjoy this restaurant, but we are going to stick to what we normally order. If you order a burger at Mia's table, make sure you tell them that you want it done medium, and not well done. Other than this experience, we have always loved the food there and you get free ice cream after your meal. We highly recommend the chicken tenders and the baked beans are phenomenal. The green beans are great. The banana pudding is great and the staff is super friendly.
