Homemade, screaming hot and sitting in this pool of garlic butter sprinkled with parmesan cheese: perfect for dragging that soft crusty bread through before popping in your mouth. These were so good, I would have been happy just to have a plate of them to myself. The service was phenomenal, too. Our waitress kept our tea full and checked on us regularly. She even helped guide our lunch selections. I got pizza and my son got chicken tenders with hot honey habanero sauce. And boy, was it ever hot. The tenders weren't really anything to brag about, probably frozen from what I could see. He still thought they were good. Prosciuttos is most known for their wings, so next time he'll try those. The pizza was really fantastic, though. I got a pepperoni pizza and it was so flavorful, the crust was crispy and the toppings generous. Really one of my favorite pizzas around. The interior is much larger than you'd think from the road. It's got a big bar so I can see a lot of people gathering here for sporting events. It does smell a little stale inside, almost like the building has been smoked in for years. Get right over that, and eat your delicious garlic knots and pizza.

Food Truck Village…read more I hit the back button and it did that thing where it deleted whatever it wanted and it was going to be Trick Village. Would that have driven more or less business? As it stands right now, Food Truck Village is a cool place. It has the potential to be a future tourist destination. Take out the car wash and add a Central Focus--an oversized ice cream truck with universal music. Rework the parking and build walkways through the village and you have yourself a tourist destination. Make sure there are separate paths to each food truck so one truck doesn't get all the first foot traffic. Add a colorful sign with a simple map. All food trucks would benefit immensely. For Mike's Pizza, very good pizza and the owner is friendly. It always feels good to support privately-owned shops. The six-slice pizza is $14 before tax and it takes a while but it's fresh and worth the wait. Definitely recommended. I didn't know where to park since there are no lines and my son (also shown in the pictures) told me I couldn't just park anywhere. Nobody else there so no big deal. You can do the same, but I don't recommend parking in the car wash or in the tent. We shall return to Food Truck Village! Perhaps they can add one more truck for now: Big Truck from Coal Chamber.

Sometimes it's hit or miss on sausage and this one is a complete hit. Give this truck your business, if we're lucky enough it'll turn into a permanent pizza storefront here in Cornelius someday. The pizza has just the right crust I like, a little chewy but not so much that it ruins the pizza. It was cooked perfectly, and tasted amazing. The garlic knots were even better, they provided plenty of sauce which is always a gripe of mine as I love to use the sauce liberally. We also got a gluten free pizza which is great that they have available. It wasn't as amazing as the regular as GF basically never is, but it was also quite good and we were glad it was available since we have a celiac who can't enjoy standard pizza.

This spot is putting out seriously great New York-style pizza and wings. We even caught the owner -- one serious pizza aficionado. He's actually a New Yorker (well, Long Island, but close enough), which explains a lot about the authentic pies coming out of the kitchen. We tried the Hawaiian pizza and it was incredible. The sweet juicy pineapple paired perfectly with salty ham, crispy bacon, and gooey cheese on their excellent crust. We added spicy large jalapeños on top, and they delivered a solid, fresh heat that elevated the whole pie -- the sweetness, smokiness from the bacon, and spices heat played off each other beautifully. Every bite was a flavor explosion. The wings were just as outstanding. Super crispy on the outside with that perfect clean snap when you bite in, releasing tender, juicy meat inside. Packed with flavor and cooked exactly right. Easily some of the best wings in the Lake Norman area, yeah I went there........The owner told me his secret recipe and technique, but I have been sworn to secrecy..... I can say that he buys his wings free range, no steroids and you can tell the difference in every bite. Coming in on the high side at $1.80is per wing, but I ask you this - how much would you pay for perfection? Local craft beer, yes please. Their grilled Caesar salad is large enough to share, with deliciously charred romaine and homemade dressing. We also love sharing the arancini when we are not in the mood for a salad. For entrees, you can't go wrong with their pizza. It's one of our top favorites in the CLT area, as it's cooked in a wood-fired oven, and is both crispy and full of toppings. My husband particularly enjoys the Capricciosa, with artichokes, ham, mushroom, basil, and fresh mozzarella. Their calzones are really good, too. I usually get their lasagna, which is served in a bowl and is made to order. Their bolognese has a complex flavor, and the sauce-to-cheese quotient is just perfect. I always have some leftover to take home. If you have room for dessert, I highly recommend the deconstructed cannoli. It's homemade, and divine. Their gelato is well thought-out, served with a side of espresso to soften the ice cream and add a unique flavor. Presentation is carefully and well-thought out. Service is always good as well, no matter what time of day you visit (we prefer early dinners). We love this place, and will keep it on our "short list" for nearby dining!

I was seated facing the kitchen in a booth. I just loved the decor with the bricks, open kitchen, and warehouse ceiling. My amazing waitress created me a mocktail with ginger beer and cranberry. It was colorful and wonderful. It had some tang to it. The Italian restaurant has Neopolitan pizzas and Italian dishes. It was so hard deciding what to select from the menu. If I hadn't just had shrimp, the shrimp scampi would have been what I ordered. Then there was a lasagna with a bechamel sauce I really wanted. But the pizza won out. My waitress talked me into the salad I was debating, too. The salad was Dolce Crostata. It has mixed lettuce, goat cheese, pancetta, candied pecans and golden raisins. I like the salads with fruit, and this one was wonderful. Novanta means 90 in Italian, which is the 90 seconds it takes to cook the pizza. It goes into the 900-degree Italian wood-fired oven. The pizza was a true Neapolitan with the soft, airy crust and a little bit of char on it. It tasted as good as it looked. I wanted a second pizza after my first slice, but I had trouble finishing the first and had to take half of the salad to go. I did love every bite of the margherita pizza and salad. If I lived closer, I'd eat here weekly as the food is that good. This is a hidden gem.
