I have always loved Marco's Pizza and considered it a clean, reliable spot -- but this visit completely changed that. I placed my order and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. I gave them extra time and returned 40 minutes later, only to find out my pizza hadn't even been started yet. That alone was frustrating, but what happened next was far worse. The employee who was supposed to be making my pizza had visibly dirty hands and was wearing no gloves. He had been handling money at the register and touching various surfaces before going back to prepare food. I asked the woman working there whether employees are required to wash their hands or wear gloves when making pizzas. Her response was shocking -- she told me they can't force employees to wash their hands. I was absolutely disgusted. When I asked the employee directly if he would please wash his hands before preparing my food, he nonchalantly informed me he was "just now getting ready to start" my pizza -- again, 40 minutes after I had originally ordered. To make matters worse, the woman I'm assuming was the manager had a visible attitude throughout the entire interaction rather than addressing the concern professionally. I decided I didn't want the pizza at all and asked for a full refund. No food is worth the risk to my health. Marco's has always held a high standard of cleanliness in my experience, which is why this was so jarring. I hope management takes this seriously and retrains staff on proper food handling and hygiene protocols. Sanitation is not optional -- it's the law. read more

We ordered three large pizzas and two salads. I sent my husband 30 minutes away to pick up the order. He came home with only three pizzas. So I called the store and spoke to an employee who acknowledged the mistake and asked me "how would you like to handle this" I told him I did not feel like driving another hour just to pick up salads so if he could just reimburse the card that we paid with. He said "absolutely" asked for my order number and I thought that was it. Checking my bank statement I was charged for the full amount (with tip) which is fine because I figured the reimbursement would come through in a couple days. It has now been over a week and I have not seen any sort of reimbursement. It is poor customer service and we will not be back. Out about $17 bucks Not about the money...it's just the principle of the matter and I don't appreciate being lied to. read more

My daughter and I are regular customers until today. we called and ordered 1 large pepperoni pizza for delivery. We were told that it was going to be 55 mins so we were ok. It was way past 55 min and the driver who had his stereo so loud that I had to say something. Then our pizza is as cold and when I called to complain I was hung up on. I called back and was told that they told us it would be in transit for 55 minutes. umm no if that was the case I would have picked it up. I have never been talked to so rude before from this place. I reached out to another Marco's pizza place and was told they would reach out to the owner and would be in touch. A little different, quite tasty if overpriced. I have only had two pizzas so far: old-world pepperoni and veggie but one thing sticks out about this place. The hand-tossed crust is actually hand-tossed and has a softer texture and is much less chewy than many delivery pizzas. The veggie I can tell is a little different than the usual pizza. The toppings were not dried out so they are probably put on after baking which makes the toppings much more fresh tasting and have a better texture. read more

Ordered one large pepperoni pizza. Told it would be $8.71 and would be at my house in about 20 minutes. Thirty five minutes later I called and asked about it and it was still at the store and was waiting on a driver. I offered to come to the store to pick it up. They said it was on its way out the door. When the driver arrived it was $18.71. Outrageously expensive price for a very small "large" pizza. Six small sized pieces of pizza. I would not have made the order for that price had I recognized what the person said on the phone. Little Cesar's sells theirs for $5. Not as good as Marco's product, but not a $13.71 difference, either. Pizza was late AND expensive, not a good combo. Very unhappy. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I've ordered twice from Marco's now. My experiences were a 5/5 (carryout) and a 1/5 (delivery). Let me say this first, the pizza quality is outstanding. They have complementary (free) crust choices that make the pizza out of this world. However, I had a disastrous delivery experience with this Marco's. The girl that took my order was either ditzy, new, or both. She sounded like it at first, very carefree, but I tried to have patience. We waited for 45 minutes for the pizza to arrive (I live less than 2 miles from Marco's), and it never came. I called back to find that she'd gotten my name completely wrong, hadn't input my address correctly, then didn't have my apartment number. To top it all off, the toppings were incorrect. I was stunned. I said thank you, I'll get food elsewhere tonight, and hung up hungry. The pizza is delicious. The one time I ordered takeout it was marvelous. I'm not hard to please with restaurants, so I wouldn't judge the place based on one employee, she may have been new. But beware ordering delivery from this Marco's. I'm going to just do takeout for a while. read more

The first time I tried this pizza I would have given them 5 stars. But, after my experience tonight I think not. Their pizza used to be good. It was terrible tonight. Chewy crust and terribly bland. So bad in fact that I called them to see if I could get my money back. (something I have never done by the way) The guy on the phone said "let me talk to my manager". He comes back on and says "the manager said if you have most of the pizza and you bring it back, we'll give you a refund." Okay so I take back almost 2 whole pizzas. This is less than 10 minutes after getting off the phone. They say our manager is not here. Its not our policy to give refunds in fact I dont even know how to. WTF!!!! Then why tell me on the phone that the manager says bring it in get your money back?! He goes on to tell me that they have this policy so people wont cheat them and eat the pizza then try to get their money back... okay I understand that.. here is the pizza that we did NOT eat. still "I would I just dont even know how." He offers me five cards for free 2 topping pizzas.. okay so to avoid paying me the 20 bucks you give me at least 50 buck in free pizzas. And I still leave as a pissed off customer. Although it is a little pricey, the quality is soooo worth it! We absolutely love the huge meatballs that come with the pizza and the roasted tomatoes and feta cheese pizza is delicious. It's not the regular pizza chain type of pizza, but is worth the price to me. I love the fact that they do deliver however they don't deliver to every part of Conway. Your delivery address has to be in the central part of the city to receive delivery services. They will offer a discount if you do have to pick up the pizza. All in all, it's a nice little upscale delivery type of pizza restaurant. read more

Marco's pizza is soo awesome! I love the pizza here. It's always fresh and hot taste is the best pizza any where around Conway. Prices are comparable and even cheaper than others.. The Original Crust pizza is the best IMO, but they have a decent thin as well. I wish the sausage was in smaller pieces and more evenly distributed, but otherwise they aren't too stingy with toppings and cheese. My biggest disappointment with them is that they won't deliver to a significant part of Conway. Apparently, since we live east of Harkrider, they won't come this way. They'd get a lot more business from us if they did. read more

We even called them back to inform them of the incident, and I believe we are still waiting to bring it to us(?) My family has ordered from Marcos since it opened in 2012. We love the pizza but this past 6 months I have had the tip changed on my receipt TWICE! Once the driver added $6 and this past week a different driver added $10 to a $2.88 tip on a $27 order. That would be $12.88 tip on $27!! Each time I have called and went by and the manager just gives me back cash and says they have "counseled" the driver. They do not seem surprised and offer excuses as to how this happens. I am contacting the owner at this point and will be filing a report with the Attorney General. This is absolute THEFT! read more
