Soaked with grease
Aggy E.

If you like the grease and dough, this is the place for you. My husband got pretty bad food poisoning too. I know it was the pizza because we ate the same foods that day but only he had the pizza.

This place is famous for its wide variety of beers and drinks!…read moreI was planning to check out the menu because I'd been there before but hadn't really looked at the food. I got a spritz, which was okay since I wanted to try something new--it was their latest addition to the drink menu. Since it was just me, I went for something lighter, then a pizza one of there huge burgers. So, I went to the appetizer section and got the cheesy garlic triangles with marinara sauce. I ate the whole plate, which was just right for me. I really liked the food, and the waitress was super friendly, so I had plenty of time to enjoy everything. It was a busy place, the food looked good, and the music was a bit loud. They had a patio, if there was seating available I would have picked that. I also got to watch a football game on one of their TVs. Overall, I had a great time and would love to come back and try pizza or other things on the menu.

Stopped by for some pizza after a raucous good time at the local splash pad. Great ending to our…read moreFriday. We arrived a little on the early side (~4) and were smack in the middle of their 3-5 happy hour ($5 IPA and cheesey garlic bread), which seemed like a good deal to us - garlic bread was tasty. We didn't have their speciality spritz but it sure looked good and a great value. Pizza was top notch. One of the best we've had lately especially for the value. We ordered the Pig and Pears that had candied bacon, arugula, pear, and ricotta. Would absolutely get again. No complaints about service though we never were offered a high chair which is a slight deduction. Decor was different. Would certainly return!

Three years ago I was in Denver to see a show at Red Rocks when me and my buddy checked out Blue…read morePan. When I returned home after that trip I was sad because I thought I'd never be back and I might never have Blue Pan again or get to see a show in Red Rocks again. Last week I was lucky enough to return to Denver to again see a show at Red Rocks but I swear I was more excited to go back to Blue Pan. It was literally my first stop when I got into town. I said it before in my review of the other Blue Pan across town but it's quite literally the best pizza I've ever had. My daughter was with me this trip and she's not a fan of thicker pizzas. She ended up eating two pieces herself. You need to go try this place it is just too good to pass up. Now I have to come up with another reason to visit Denver because I don't want this to be the last time I've had Blue Pan pizza.

Do you ever come into a place that is most likely awesome but it's just having a bad day?…read more I think that was my experience here, which is a bit of a drag since I'll probably never make it back (I live in California which is a bit of a trek) The bad - slow service, attitude from the waitress when we asked for an update on our food, wrong orders and a ton of flies buzzing around. The good - the pizza was really freaking good. Tried both the Parma Italiana and Diavola and both were outstanding (and I don't typically enjoy Detroit style thick pizza). The place has a cool ambiance, good music and plenty of beverage options. So yeah I'm gonna guess I just came here on the wrong day.

A lot of the staff look like maybe high-school age which is even more inspiring! Mid week, not terribly and ambient noise level was perfect for conversation and experience. These guys know how to make a pizza, too. I asked for crispy and it came out perfect! Not burnt, but just right! Great flavor, perfect amount of sauce, cheese and pepperoni. I remembered a pic, but a little late. Awesome job, folks!

FRI-YAY FIELD REPORT:…read more Alright you beautiful chaos goblins, it's Friday night and I found myself back at Randi's. You know the place, strip mall chic, nothing fancy, the kind of spot where you show up in whatever you wore to Target and nobody blinks. I've been here before, and honestly the experience has always been a bit of a roulette wheel: sometimes great, sometimes just ....meh. Tonight? Buckle up First, the service. I'm not asking for Broadway jazz hands and a standing ovation when I walk in, but a hint of pleasantness would be nice. My server looked like smiling might actually cause structural damage to her face. Honey, that scowl was so deep it came with its own zip code. Those cause wrinkles, sweetie. Just saying. While I waited (and waited... and waited...) I was treated to a lovely soundtrack of staff conversations about doom, gloom, and existential dread. Babe... I'm just trying to order carbs, not prepare for the apocalypse It was not exactly the light Friday night vibe I was going for while trying to order a drink. BTW It took a solid stretch of time just to get that drink and put in an order. I kept checking my watch like I was waiting for a delayed flight. Eventually, we got the drink and the order placed. The food shows up and let's give the kitchen the applause it deserves because the food crew clearly came to work tonight. Actually good. Not "call the Vatican we've witnessed a miracle" good, but solid. The antipasto salad was fresh and yes they included peppers, which I appreciate because some places act like peppers are a controlled substance. And the calzone? The bread was homemade. And listen... when you bite into bread that clearly came from a real human effort and not a Sysco freezer tomb, you notice. It was warm, chewy, and legitimately good. So now I'm emotionally conflicted. The kitchen is back there doing honest Italian-food work while the front of house is acting like they're being forced to serve pasta at emotional gunpoint. The Breakdown: Calzone bread: Homemade, heroic, deserves a medal Antipasto: Fresh, crunchy, pepper-inclusive (we love representation) Food overall: Solidly good Service: If enthusiasm were calories this would be a diet plate Randi's, my chaotic carb dealer, I will probably return because that bread had my attention. But next time maybe let the staff know it's okay to experience joy.
