Initial impression when walking in, "This is going to be a good night!" Stamped copper ceiling…read moretiles, soft leather upholstery, brass inlaid tables, classy nautical hinted artwork. Kinda like a Classic Chicago Steakhouse and your favorite Seafood Shack met during shore leave and had a love baby. The staff were as crisp and classy as my Martini inspired Tommy Bahama shirt (medium starch). Hands down the freshest oysters we've had since moving to FL. The selection was huge including both East and West Coast oysters with an amazing selection of local oysters. We fell head over heels for the Sharkbite oysters which are farmed right in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. As a rule; when we find a good oyster place we go overboard! In addition to the Sharkbites, we had West Coast: Royal Miyagi Kumamoto Kusshi East Coast: Pink Moon Malpeque Raspberry Point Wellfleet Duxubury Soleil Local: Sharkbite Baby Sharks Rattlesnake Cove We stuck to appetizers as our oyster adventure was our main focus. She Crab soup and Spanish Octopus were perfect. The Foie Gras had us doing the happy shimmy in our seats! Executive Dessert Chef, oh yeah I said it, pay that person what ever they ask for! Key Lime pie was to die for! Highly recommended! Cheers!

We came for dinner and left wondering why The Oyster Society wasn't our first stop!…read more Our original plan was Deck 560 at the Hilton across the street, but the menu didn't really excite us and the atmosphere felt a little sterile for our taste. We had a cocktail, crossed the street, and that's when the night got GOOD! The vibes were fantastic, the weather was beautiful for sitting outside, and the service was great. The cocktails? They definitely understood the assignment. Strong, just how I like them! Bonus points for fresh blue cheese stuffed olives instead of jarred ones. My only little critique was that the olive juice tasted very bitter to me. Now, let's talk FOOD because we were very happy people at this table! The octopus appetizer was to die for. They prepare it sous vide, and it was incredibly tender. This is the kind of dish you're still thinking about the next day. The Ceviche Yatai was almost too pretty to eat. Almost. Fresh kampachi presented more like sashimi, smoked aji amarillo leche de tigre, crispy calamari, crunchy corn, and sweet potato. Beautiful presentation and absolutely delicious! The miso Chilean sea bass was tender and delicious, and the firecracker sushi was another hit. Then there was the lobster and crab encrusted tripletail with Boursin mashed potatoes, broccolini, and lobster guajillo butter. Yes, it was every bit as good as it sounds! Great food, strong drinks, wonderful service, and a fun atmosphere. Crossing the street turned out to be our best decision of the night. We'll absolutely be back!

Visited Marco for a week....looking for decent places to eat and listen to some live music. Came…read moreacross the Boardroom and decided to take a visit. First off, it was difficult to find. Tough place to locate because there is very little signage. We were able to find it after driving around a bit. We found a nice parking spot in the rear of the hotel that it sits beside. Upon entering the area where the music stage is set up, we noticed a decent crowd with everyone sitting and enjoying the music. The bar is inside where everyone goes to get a drink. The service was good...a couple of bartenders ready to help, if needed. The crowd was mainly older adults....ages 40-65 would be my guess. The music was good....all the hits from the Eagles to Nirvana to James Taylor. As a first timer, it was kind of confusing where to order food. However, I did not notice food being served. I did notice a small restaurant set up in a small seperate building but there was no one eating in there. I guess the bartenders take the order and then deliver the food. Would I go back? Not sure...not much happening that would attract me Vibe: laid back....easy going Drink Price: very reasonable Parking: for me, it was great but I could see people having issues Dress: key west casual 4 stars
