I paid $75 for the parts and labor and picked up my fridge the next day. It came with a 30 day warranty. When I brought it home I noticed that even on the lowest setting it was now freezing everything in the bottom. I took it back up there and they changed the cold control for free. They had it from Saturday to Friday (ugh ... a bit too long for my taste) but they did it for no extra charge. They updated me by phone the whole week that it was there. I'm talking about the store on State that's south of Florida next to the kung fu place and the billiards place. When I paid, they told me that they did take credit/debit cards but the only one that could run the card was the owner and he wasn't there.

He texted me at 4:40 PM saying he was at my front door and that there was a woman there who wouldn't open the door. We've had issues in the past with people coming to the door who were up to no good, so my mom is always careful on who she opens the door for. Anyway I responded at 4:43 PM letting him know that was my mom and I told him I would let her know to open the door and explained that I had forgotten to tell her someone was coming. However, my mom was trying to put the dog away, and by the time she opened the door, he had already left. I messaged him at 4:46 PM to explain what had happened, and he never responded to me again. I completely understand that I made a mistake by not notifying my mom ahead of time. However, I was actively communicating with him and trying to resolve the situation. Leaving within just a few minutes and then never responding to my message was, in my opinion, very unprofessional. A simple text saying he was leaving or giving me a little more time to get the door situation sorted out would have made a huge difference. I understand if he needed to leave and couldn't wait, but not responding at all was the part that left a bad impression. Unfortunately, based on the way this situation was handled, I would not feel comfortable doing business with this company. Edit: I don't have the wrong company. This happened in July. I had another technician come out and quoted 300.00 for a new board. Adam determined it was a broken wire which he found and repaired saving me a lot of money. To my horror, the reason the dryer was burning so hot and melting things was because the previous owners had used a gas dryer for propane hook up without the proper conversion kit. Why this wasn't caught during the home inspection I don't know. Anyway, it was therefore not covered under the homeowner appliance warranty. Luckily AJ's had several refurbished dryers that I could buy for $250 so I was able to get a much nicer near commercial size dryer instead and it was installed for free.
