Quoth the Raven "Evermore!"…read more Has an accessible entrance, flat flooring, and a wheelchair-accessible restroom. Unfortunately, due to the historic nature of the building, the upstairs seating area is only accessible by stairs. Quaint, charming café that serves lunchtime treats, coffee, and pastries. The hot cocoa is divine! I really like the literary/"dark academia" vibes and decor, as well as the many cute birdie knick-knacks roosting about the space. Service was friendly and unrushed, I felt free to linger and enjoy at my leisure. I will make it a point to stop in here whenever I pass through Port Huron! I dropped in during the week and there was zero-wait for a table, although I imagine the place probably bustles on weekends!

Maybe it was an off day…read more.. A few of us drove over from Metro Detroit as this has been on my list to try. It's a cute place with a cool theme and is likely great for neighborhood folks who have their regular orders and stop in since it's close. Cons: I felt the place could have used a detailed cleaning. They brought out my friend's salad with *completely brown/gray avocado* on it. And when I say completely gray, I mean completely. Why it left the kitchen and made it to the table is a mystery. We addressed it with the server. Server was nice, but seemed perhaps not as informed about details of menu and drinks. I ordered the peanut butter mocha, but tasted no PB at all. I drank it all - it wasn't that big of a deal, but I agree with other reviews; iced coffee drinks are a touch weak. Pros: Staff was friendly. Cozy atmosphere. Nice size menu. Rest of what we all ordered was good.

I've come to Mexico twice now and it delivered both times…read more I don't have any photos of the first time, but my partner and I shared five of the six taco options, and by far my favourite were the pork belly and the Chicken Tinga. The second time I came with some coworkers and I had one of the margaritas. It had pineapple juice in it, but I can't remember what it was called... It was just recommended by the server and she was definitely on the nose with that one. Taquitos are good; I liked the beef over the chicken. And I had the salmon plate when I came back I don't know if I would get it again, it was just OK and I don't know if it was worth the price. Overall a very fun place to eat, top-tier for Sarnia. Good vibes, good drinks, good food, great service! Just a little more on the expensive side for someone on a student budget

I'm not sure which aspect of this experience was worse--the food, the drinks, or the service…read more We arrived at about 7:30pm on a Saturday night. The restaurant was nearly empty, though it didn't close for a few more hours. We seated ourselves and waited. And waited. After about 15 minutes, a server shows up and gives us menus. We looked over the drink and dinner menus and made our selections--but they weren't going to be taken for nearly 30 minutes. We placed our drink orders (classic margarita and the La Paloma). After 15 more minutes, our drinks arrived. The drinks were mediocre--at best. The classic margarita was essentially a glass of lime juice with half a shot of tequila; the Paloma was the same, but with grapefruit juice. $12 CDN each. The next time we saw our server was another 15 minutes later when our chips and guacamole arrived. The chips were nice and salty; the guacamole portion was extraordinarily small (about an ice cream scoop size) for $10 CDN. With the arrival of the guacamole, we were finally able to place our meal order. They were out of chicken, so we settled on two crispy pork belly tacos, one carne asada taco, and a pescado taco. $6 CDN each. A full thirty minutes later, our food had not yet arrived. Our drinks were empty (there was only one other party in the restaurant at this time). I walked to the bar with my empty glasses to place two more drink orders: the passion cocktail (tequila, banana, cranberry, and orange were supposed to be the primary flavors) and the Envy (a margarita with blue curaçao). At this point of the evening, it's now nearly 9:15PM. We've been in the restaurant for over an hour. Our second order of drinks and 4 tacos finally arrive. Gross is all I can say. - All tacos shared the same stale-tasting, rusty cabbage. It's like the half-off prepackaged slaw mix you buy at the grocery store tossed with a light vinaigrette. - The fish tasted... fishy. Fishy tasting fish is never a good sign. I probably should have looked at the crowd and determined that there wasn't enough turnover to order the fish. Two bites and I tap out on the fish taco. - The carne asada was not that. Instead of being the traditionally marinated and grilled strips of steak that I'm used to at other restaurants, it was essentially stringy, water-logged pot roast. - The pork belly tacos were neither crispy nor flavorful. They tested more like baked pork chop with a hint of bacon. They were dressed with the same slaw mixture as the other tacos. After tasting the Passion cocktail, we asked the waitress if there had been an error. Banana has an unmistakeable taste; the lack of it is quite noticeable. Cranberry juice is red. The fact that this drink was neither reddish-pink or had even the faintest hint of banana told us otherwise. It was the same drink as "the classic." The Envy was at least blue. It was undrinkable, but the color was at least correct. After nearly 2 hours of waiting and shit service, we paid and left nearly all our food uneaten. We walked around the corner to Bad Dog and had a second dinner.

The food was very good, and the service was excellent. The place has a nice "homey" atmosphere…read more Certainly one of the more creative restaurants in our area. Chef Mike and Sous Chef Stephen are very talented and make changes and additions to the menu often. It keeps the menu interesting. Looking forward to going back again - tonight in fact.

Sigh, there is no way to say it other than it was a really poor experience…read more We went on 2/14/26. I made reservations for 7:30 PM. I made the reservations because the website indicated that they would be needed. We arrived at 7:20 PM, and we were greeted by a very frantic host, who, without skipping a beat, turned to us and said that if we didn't have reservations, they didn't have any availability because they were completely booked. I indicated that we did. He cleared a table for us, and we were sat at exactly 7:30 PM, which is pretty much the only good thing that happened. Oh, and the restaurant was decorated nicely for the holiday. It was 10 minutes before our server came to our table. She had to stop at another table occupied by friends and have a conversation first before acknowledging us. She took our drink order, returned with the drinks, and then disappeared for another 15 minutes, like I didn't see her on the floor, and I could see the whole restaurant. Upon her return, we indicated that we wanted to start with a couple of appetizers. Each time we asked for something, her answer was, "we're out." They should have estimated how many patrons they would have based on the required reservations and had enough stock prepped. Unacceptable. I looked at her a bit confused, and she says, "well, it's 8 o'clock." Now, it wasn't the phrase; it was her tone, like there was a silent "dumba**" she was holding back. So, at that point, I was done. We kindly asked to pay for our drinks, and we left. Look. I worked in the business for almost 20 years. Your restaurant has about 15 tables-give or take. You had 3 servers, a bartender, and a host/busser and service was that poor? Come on! Additionally, who uses snark with a customer? You need to train your staff to be more efficient. If you need help, let me know; I can consult. Maybe we will try again on a different day, but given that the consistent criticism of the service in the reviews, I'm not promising anything. No pictures because we never got to the point of ordering food.
