Instead of upselling me, she exclaimed, "Oh! Your lashes are great! We'll just do a lift and tint - and that will be better because you'll be in a humid tropical environment in the water all day every day". This kind, honest person saved me $150+ in cost, and was thoroughly sure I will not look like a demon troll on vacation in every photo. In our session, she did a fantastic job talking me through the process to ensure I understood what the steps were and how things were going to go/feel. This was my first time and I was expecting it to have a bit of a higher lift, so I know going forward there's some language I can use to explain how my eyelashes usually get curled and what I'd hope to replicate with a lift.

I worried that perhaps the "therapist" just had an off day. Then it hit me. Who's going to worry about new customers coming here and shelling out $150 for an hour's worth of mediocre tepid substandard whatever this was? I will. What about my endless long work hours that would shock most people, coming to this place for a decent massage to relieve the bad body effects of extreme overwork but walking out with zero effect? I'll worry. Not one knot found, much less kneaded out. Zero reflexology. Faking it over and over. She started off telling me - not asking me, but telling that she doesn't talk "because she listens to the body." Guess her hands were deaf. I've gotten massages for decades here in the U.S. as well as other free countries. This wasn't just a below average massage - the only massage worse than this was a masseuse in her 70's down South that after just running her hands tepidly over my skin here and there, she left after she tried selling me a Bible. They're so charming down there I couldn't get mad. And I had never returned to Bennesere until today. My prior visit, I was subjugated and subjected to -and I'm not kidding you: an hour of unwanted Russian propaganda talking points. You think I'm kidding? I'm not. That massage wasn't great either and I wasn't buying "Ukraine had it coming". So i struggled tonight with whether or not I should just write privately to them but I don't want a third wasted hour offered. It's clear they don't hire quality masseuses. It's clear they don't vet or train these people. And for $150, I don't just expect competence: I deserve it. Never again.

Now she is mentally distraught and so upset that it has really made her life difficult dealing with this botched surgery .. we gave him every opportunity to correct the problem before having to go elsewhere !! Later, when I asked management, they explained that a "90-minute massage" is supposed to include about 10 minutes of non-massage time, meaning customers only ever get 80 minutes of actual massage. But even by their own definition, my session was shorter than that. On top of the misleading timing, the massage itself was mediocre at best -- rushed, uneven, and not very relaxing. This feels like a systematic practice to shortchange customers: advertise 90 minutes, deliver much less, and then justify it with fine print. There are plenty of spas that are honest about the time you're paying for and deliver a better experience. I would not recommend this one.
