I should also mention that I had the honor of being one of her last brides ever to have her make up done by Yumi. She's no longer doing any bridal make up and instead, focusing all of her efforts on her suite. Background: My skin is EXTREMELY sensitive. I have acne rosacea which means everything in the world is a trigger to my skin (oily food, stress, sweat, heat, fragrance, people looking at me the wrong way, you name it). I also suffer from dry patches (smh). Because of this, I'm always wary about new products and any sort of facial treatment. Before my treatment, I let Yumi know of this and she actually steered me away from a more expensive treatment I was thinking of booking to dermaplaning instead. I love when professionals do this because it lets me know they care, they listen, and they want the best for their clients too. The treatment was fantastic. She is so easy to relax around and so personable. Afterwards, my skin was GLOWINGGGGG and SO soft. BUT as we all know, skin quality takes time, consistency, and effort. I unfortunately didn't have time to schedule more facials so on the day of my wedding, although 85% of my skin looked great, I still had some pesky dry patches around my mouth/chin. Usually I would've freaked out but I trusted my whole life in Yumi's hands and let me tell you, she worked MAGIC on my face. The bottom floor of the salon is where Lourna was stationed. I was promptly greeted by the staff and taken back to meet Lourna. At first I felt a little weird because we were in the men's barber room and secluded so I didn't feel like I was apart of the salon, but I came to quickly enjoy the appointment because of Lourna. She explained all the products she was using on me from start to finish. I liked that this salon has two kinds of products, Bumble and bumble and kerestase. She used the Kerestase products on me and I really liked how it felt on my hair. Her hair washing skills were AMAZING. The scalp massage she gave me was 10/10. Throughout the whole appointment, I didn't even notice I was getting my haircut because she was so gentle, even when blowing out my hair.
