I let my hair go naturally gray 5 years ago and so get minimal maintenance on my very wavy/curly hair. I had an amazing experience at Raymond Roberts Salon! Having been turned down from 3 Salons, I immediately felt like I made the right choice walking in here. I felt so comfortable & so welcomed. As soon as I walked in, Jerry greeted me & we sat down & he explained to me every little detail about each process & each color. We went from a 1 or 2 to an 8! (That being said, I don't think I'll ever go back to being a brunette for a while.) Bottom line is he listened to what I wanted & took extra care of my hair. My new favorite salon! I used to get my haircut in NYC but I really wanted to find a salon closer to my home. I read a few reviews on different apps and social media and thought I would give Raymond Robert a try! The salon is in a great location in Livingston and has plenty of parking. The salon itself is really clean and has a lot of natural light! The staff are all incredibly sweet and helpful. Stephan cut my hair, he's such a talented stylist! My hair was very long and I wanted it cut short, Alexa Chung- style. I showed him a few photos and he knew exactly what to do! We decided to leave it a little longer than the photos just so I can transition in the cut. Which I lm happy I did. **Update** I still love this salon. It's been a year and I get compliments on my hair all the time. Stephan listens and always does a fantastic job! He now cuts, colors and does hair straightening treatments on my hair. I also love all of the product recommendations. Stephan knows hair!! My son also sees him and a friend of mine. The salon is great and so are the other staff members. I love Stephen! He's a very talented stylist/colorist. Stephen is tremendously creative, really takes his time, and does a meticulous job. I am so incredibly grey for my age being only fifty four. It's actually 'white' and kind of pretty if I had the nerve to go au naturale. He covers this white hair so beautifully that I can't stop receiving compliments. It's a completely natural looking light golden brown. I also get a great haircut from him every time. He listens to what you want as well as offers his expertise which is highly professional. I once got a Brazilian Blowout at a local salon and my hair felt like straw. Swore to myself I would never do it again because my hair looked super fried. At long last, I have found the best colorist in the world. Raymond Robert is incredible and this should be your trusted salon too. I went in to get a glaze to cover up a balayage mistake of the past (at a different salon) and walked out with a PERFECT color correction and cut, exactly what I was hoping for! Jerry was able to identify exactly what went wrong from my previous bad experience, and the multiple attempts to correct at a couple of other salons (spending a small fortune and 7 months trying to get it right) and fixed it in record time. I wasted all those months and there he was, right in my neighborhood! This place is a gem! He even stayed late to get it right. Randy was super welcoming and very graciously entertained my 5-year old daughter while Jerry was at work on correcting my mess.
