It turned out exactly the way I wanted--beautiful, high quality, and finished much faster than I expected. Their workmanship was excellent, their crew was professional, and their pricing was very competitive. I was so impressed with the shower remodel that I hired them to do a full renovation of my second house. Once again, they did an amazing job with the kitchen, bathrooms, flooring, and painting! One thing I really appreciated was how involved they kept me throughout the project. I was able to choose all of the materials and fixtures, and they always checked in with me before moving forward. They made sure everything matched my vision, and I never felt left out of the decision-making process. It's not easy to find a contractor who does quality work, communicates well, stays on schedule, and charges a fair price, but DL Builder exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable contractor. I would absolutely hire them again.

The last time we had our decks done they were done by another company that covered them in a stain that was extremely sticky. It was so bad we had to wear shoes on our decks. Chis sanded off the old product and used WOCA stain. Our wood has never looked so good. It has been a while since we had Chris refinish them and he just came by to check on them. We had some acidic rain that spotted one of the decks and he showed us how to maintain the wood if that happens again and some extra product. He is an extremely nice guy. We will be using him again!

Yes I know there are other options however you would have to be happy with the product and design as ones kitchen is one place where you go into pretty much every day so if you are going to spend money you should get what you like. We saw that Bella Pietra Design sold Dekton and when I walked into the store I saw so many options for flooring, backslash and showers. You could spend a good two hours looking and imagining what your place could look like as they have lots of varieties to choose from. I had the privilege of talking to Meagan and she showed me around the whole showroom. She is very knowledgeable in the products they sell. She was educating me the pros and cons with the different stones. One of the things that make it hard to pick out a certain design is that the samples are small and you can't see the while sheet. That's where Meagan told me she could set up a special showing of the whole sheet so we can get the actual feel and look of the design. Very professional and knowledgeable. I would recommend coming down to see all the different options you could do to renovate or for your new build.

We ordered from Chelsea at Big Rock Fabrications and all seemed great. Then attempted delivery…read morebecame an issue. The delivery driver showed up unannounced and left with the delivery at hand. Chelsea, from Big Rock Fabrications assured us that they had not attempted delivery. Delivery was attempted, just as our cameras had recorded. A couple of weeks later, the same truck and Company arrived with our rock. Transport claimed it had not tried to deliver the first time, Big Rock Fabrications told us it had not attempted to deliver as well. The cameras don't lie. However, we were happy to have our rock at hand ,we had a project to get started and we were excited to get started turning our back yard into a piece of paradise on the mainland. Unfortunately, we realized that multiple pallets of rock had arrived cracked and unusable. Once we notified Chelsea at Big Rock Fabrications of the situation with the broken rock that is when the ghosting began. We would call and receive the standard, "we are working on it". Then the phone calls began to be ignored. No information, no call back and no guidance and even hang ups. Basically they were great until they weren't. It is a shame that a business treats their customers this way. We were very patient and dealt with the situation very professionally and with aloha. Our contractor called, the subcontractor called, the homeowners called, all to no avail. They even started to screen the calls. They went out of their way to ignore us. It would have been easier to let us know it could take a while and explain the process. Our family from Hawaii wanted to help us and speak to Big Rock Fabrications. They would assure them that they were looking into it and we should hear from them real soon. Fast forward... we still do not have our rock. We have an unfinished project. We were not ever offered a solution. This is a big lesson for us, the homeowner. We had not updated our home in thirty years. We should have checked the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Had we done so we would have learned that Big Rock Fabrications is not BBB Accredited. That is their choice , but a company that is BBB Accredited builds trust with their customers, advertises honestly, tells the truth, is transparent, honors their promises, are responsive, safeguards privacy, and embody integrity. Big Rock Fabrications did not embody any of these characteristics through our process with them. @HGTV, Renovation Aloha, kamohaiandtristyn, do you really want to advertise and support a company like this? Kamohai and Tristan, each of your homes is so graciously blessed and honored by your Kapuna. We have been so dishonored and mistreated by Big Rock Fabrications, absolutely no aloha spirit. We do not recommend Big Rock Fabrications because if you spend your hard earned money as we did, you will be disappointed. That little piece of Aloha we are yearning for in the mainland, is still not completed. Ultimately, Big rock Fabrications got paid and we did not receive our undamaged rock. The Spencer Ohana
