We finally made it out to try XO Ice Cream and Waffles. It's tough to try new ice cream spots out…read morewhen the big 3 dominate in Cowtown. However, we were in the area so my sister suggested making a pitstop for dessert. We dropped in on a Tuesday afternoon (around 1:00pm). It's a tiny shop; currently only allowing one person/family in at a time. There was about 20 flavors to choose from (seasonal and summer specials). Sad that you currently can't sample any flavours. Lime cilantro sorbet (that wasn't listed) peaked my interest. - Double scoop ($8.00) - we added a waffle one ($1.00) and decided on the sour cherry and guava papaya sorbet as our two flavours. They were very generous scoops. The sour cherry was the winner with real pieces of cherry (a slightly sour bite). Stronger in papaya than guava flavour. I think their sorbet texture could use a bit of work but overall, we were happy campers. - Single scoop ($6.00) - my sister went with the same flavours as we weren't sharing. Always nice when you have the options to choose two flavours in a single scoop. Credit cards only. Massive scoops. 3.5 stars.

That's an $88 order before any delivery or service fees are added. Abbey's Creations failed to provide me with any of the items that I ordered. First of all : The cake that I ordered was not in stock. Store policy is apparently not to remove an out of stock item from the menu but to call me after the order has been submitted and accepted (therefore Doordash does not give me my money back if I cancel) and tell me that my only option is to accept a different cake. I would not have submitted the order if I knew the original cake wasn't available. Secondly: they failed to include the three tubs of ice cream that I ordered and paid for in the delivery. So now I have zero tubs of ice cream and a cake that I did not want to begin with. Their only option for recompense is store credit at a place that I never want to have anything to do with again. Plus the credit is only for the ice cream that they failed to deliver and not for the cake in a flavour that they forced me into buying.
