Found this cute little ice cream shop during my time in Calgary. The store owner was a lovely woman who patiently described all the unique flavours of icecream she had. This place had some super unique flavours like Ube, Mango Sticky Rice and Coco Pandan. With an unlimited amount of toppings and sauces to choose from! I got try the Vietnamese Coffee and Halo Halo and it was delicious. You can just tell that this is premium icecream. Its so creamy and with the perfect amount of sweetness. If you ever get a chance to go here while you are in Calgary you should definitely check it out! 9/10 recommend! read more

Abysmal customer service. I placed an order on DoorDash for an ice cream cake for my dad's birthday and three tubs of ice cream to accommodate a gluten free family member. That's an $88 order before any delivery or service fees are added. Abbey's Creations failed to provide me with any of the items that I ordered. First of all : The cake that I ordered was not in stock. Store policy is apparently not to remove an out of stock item from the menu but to call me after the order has been submitted and accepted (therefore Doordash does not give me my money back if I cancel) and tell me that my only option is to accept a different cake. I would not have submitted the order if I knew the original cake wasn't available. Secondly: they failed to include the three tubs of ice cream that I ordered and paid for in the delivery. So now I have zero tubs of ice cream and a cake that I did not want to begin with. Their only option for recompense is store credit at a place that I never want to have anything to do with again. Plus the credit is only for the ice cream that they failed to deliver and not for the cake in a flavour that they forced me into buying. read more

It may be December and it may be cold outside, but that doesn't mean the ice cream stops flowing. During the summer, I was able to try Abbey's Creations for the first time and ever since then I've been meaning to go back. Look at that ice cream--too good not to share. I'm not a waffle cone fan but in this one instance it seemed absolutely necessary. Abbey's Creations is similar to the Marble Slab concept ice cream shop . You choose a couple different ice cream flavours, a few different mix-ins (you can never have enough) and they mash it all together for you. The result: you get everything you could want in an ice cream. I don't quite remember what I had, but I'll do my best to give an overview of my experience. RATING: 8/10 - Abbey's Creations The staff are friendly, helpful, super knowledgeable and went out of their way to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. When it comes to the ice cream, Abbey's Creations is definitely solid. For someone who loves all the ice cream mix-ins this was a dream come true. Look at that peanut butter... While the base in this one was strong, it's never going to match up to your craft ice cream shops like Village or Made By Marcus. It's a bit less creamy, but still super yummy! My birthday was today. My daughter ordered a toblerone ice cream cake to celebrate, to be delivered by Door Dash. My wife is celiac and could not eat the cake, so three tubs of ice cream were ordered for her to choose from. A different cake was substituted by Abbeys for the original order. Abbey's Creations phoned my daughter to inform of the change. However, Door Dash had already picked up the order and it could not be canceled. My daughter phoned to rectify the order, asking for a refund. She was informed that the problem was hers. So we received the wrong cake, received NO TUBS OF ICE CREAM and were charged for it all. My wife had no dessert as planned. My daughter requested a full refund. The offer from Abbeys was a store credit, which was unsatisfactory for an evening ruined. Given that she will never give any business to Abbeys Creations again. The owner/manager was quite difficult to deal with. read more

Tried Abbey's Creations - ice cream in NW! We ordered 3 separate single scoops and these are huge scoops! The scoop is mixed with whatever additional items, included in the price,! They chop in the ice cream with the items on a frozen marble slab. These are the ones we got: - Strawberry with real strawberry bits - Halo Halo with white chocolate chips - Sugar-free Caramel Crunch with pecans Really good ice cream ! Buy local!! I just tried it today and it's FABULOUS! Very friendly, helpful service, clean, bright atmosphere, and the ice cream is wonderful! The woman at the counter (I wish I'd asked her name) gave me samples of quite a few of them, and it was a very difficult decision, but I went with the Passion Fruit. It was very delicious, creamy, and lactose free which I would never have guessed in a million years! I will definitely be going back often to try all their flavours, as well as the other yummies they have, like smoothies, sundaes, etc. You should see the toppings and sprinkles they've got! I definitely recommend this place and hope they'll be around for the long run! read more

Extremely disappointed. We've been coming here regularly since they opened. Service isn't always great and ice-cream is average, but we like supporting small businesses. My son was excited to get a free ice-cream cone on his birthday (they offer this). We intended to buy an ice-cream cake and ice-cream sandwiches for his party. The owner immediately recognized us, as she always does. When my son asked about a b-day cone, the owner said "No" and suggested he sign up so he could get one next year. Seriously?! Surprisingly poor customer appreciation. We won't be back. We went to Made by Marcus to get his birthday cake. They wished him happy birthday and offered him a cone. They got it right. read more

Went to Cochrane for McKays and it was super busy as always, saw Abbey's and thought would give it a try (was anything but busy, zero other customers in the 15-20 min we were around). Really disappointing. We didn't want a bunch of toppings, just ice cream and our flavors were forgettable at best. You can get better tasting stuff in your grocery store freezer for a LOT less, is pricey. If you want your ice cream as just a holder for all kinds of mixed in stuff and syrups I guess its fine, if you want good ice cream go elsewhere. read more

We purchased the raspberry cheesecake ice cream cake and it was delicious!!! Very flavourful, plenty of raspberries and not overly sweet. Add Abbey's to your list of places to visit, it's worth a try. read more
