Found this cute little ice cream shop during my time in Calgary. The store owner was a lovely woman…read morewho patiently described all the unique flavours of icecream she had. This place had some super unique flavours like Ube, Mango Sticky Rice and Coco Pandan. With an unlimited amount of toppings and sauces to choose from! I got try the Vietnamese Coffee and Halo Halo and it was delicious. You can just tell that this is premium icecream. Its so creamy and with the perfect amount of sweetness. If you ever get a chance to go here while you are in Calgary you should definitely check it out! 9/10 recommend!

Abysmal customer service. I placed an order on DoorDash for an ice cream cake for my dad's birthday…read moreand three tubs of ice cream to accommodate a gluten free family member. That's an $88 order before any delivery or service fees are added. Abbey's Creations failed to provide me with any of the items that I ordered. First of all : The cake that I ordered was not in stock. Store policy is apparently not to remove an out of stock item from the menu but to call me after the order has been submitted and accepted (therefore Doordash does not give me my money back if I cancel) and tell me that my only option is to accept a different cake. I would not have submitted the order if I knew the original cake wasn't available. Secondly: they failed to include the three tubs of ice cream that I ordered and paid for in the delivery. So now I have zero tubs of ice cream and a cake that I did not want to begin with. Their only option for recompense is store credit at a place that I never want to have anything to do with again. Plus the credit is only for the ice cream that they failed to deliver and not for the cake in a flavour that they forced me into buying.

We've let the Made by Marcus vs Village debate in this city go on for far too long. For the last…read moreyear and a half, I have been giving Village chances to change my mind, but after what happened today, everything has been cemented. My general critique is that the flavors are thin and shallow. The taste does not have good longevity on the palate, and everything feels artificial. The lychee-mango ice cream from last summer was the perfect representation of this. Today's apple cider was the same; the cinnamon and spices felt like an afterthought. My friend's review of the salted caramel was that it would be better called caramel salt. The almond shortbread ice cream was purely almond extract with very little real nuttiness or shortbread. I actually had to throw my apple cider ice cream away after a few bites because of the awful aftertaste. I think Village needs to improve on their vegan ice creams especially, but overall as well. I really wish this could be a debate the way Earnest and Rain or Shine are respectable rivals in Vancouver, but there is a clear winner here in Calgary, and it's not Village Ice Cream.

Amazing ice cream in Calgary! Village ice cream does classic flavours (like salted caramel, vanilla…read morebean, melted chocolate, & guide's mint) so well. But they also balance out the classics with their fantastic unique and seasonal flavours too (like earl grey, peach tea, & breakfast of champions). Their ice cream is so creamy, and each flavour is well-balanced -- the guide's mint wasn't overly sweet but still had that nice chocolate pieces crunch, and the salted caramel was rich in flavour and salted just enough to bring out the caramel flavour. Whatever they're putting into this ice cream, it's a dream to enjoy!

Good ice cream flavors, and they allow you to try them first which is good cause they are all out…read moreof the box. Servers were good. The inside is tiny and a little cramped, but it's clear it's more of a sit outside place. Only thing I think should change: the earl grey flavor was (in my subjective opinion) ruined by the cassis addition. I think if they did an earl grey lavender or earl grey cream it would be more attractive for other tea lovers. On the flip side- can't go wrong with the chocolate lava cake! Lemon curd blueberry is good but the lemon comes out very strong, so keep that in mind if you don't like lemony flavors.

My friends and I popped in for some treats over the weekend, everyone leaving happy & satisfied. Portions are huge and prices are great! I went with the flight for $10 so I could maximize my flavor trying consumption. Best of the best flavors I had: Apple Cheddar Pie. I ordered this as a niche and quirky flavor to try just to say I tried it. Never did I ever think I would not only love it, but swear it's better than the chocolate flavors I tried. My mouth is watering writing this review as I sit here craving it. Nomz. MUST GET. Rating all the other flavors I had in order~~~ 2. Chocolate Lava Cake - huge chunks of cake, chocolaticious. 3. Malted Chocolate Honeycomb 4. Passionfruit Basil - refreshing, palate cleanser. 5. Very chocolate and zucchini bread pudding. The onlyyyyy thing I would improve on at this Made by Marcus location is to have a bit more outdoor seating. They have some benches but they get sooooo darn busy because they are sooooo darn good, that people are always standing around. More seating and Made by Marcus would be perfection!

They sell milkshakes and I saw the 4 litre jugs in the fridge. Perfect, I think! I just need half a bottle for the car ride. I am told no by the first employee, but the second employee calls the owner to ask. After a few minutes on the phone, he tells me I can buy an $8 milk shake and he is willing to give me the ice cream and milk separately. I would pay $4 or $5, but not $8. Your 4 litre jugs cost $6, guys. As my child cries for milk in the back seat, I have decided this is undoubtedly NOT my favourite ice cream shop. I was willing to overlook the mediocre ice cream, overall grimy broken down atmosphere, but not the lack of common sense.

It's a small family business located in front of a lovely park and it has been here for more than 20 years. In summer, there's always a long line but the waiting time is not long. The staff is nice. Their menu offers traditional stuff like milkshakes, waffles cones, etc but they also have frozen cakes. The variety of ice cream flavours is extensive and prices are reasonable. Be aware of the scoop sizes. You could find yourself struggling to finish yours because they're quite big.
