Good food and quick pickup service. We came here this week and got one favorite, Spinach Ravioli in Salsa Rosa, and something new, Rigatoni ala Vodka. We added meatballs and sausage. Both were tasty and had nice sized portions, with plenty of leftovers. The pastas came with side salads, dressing on the side, large dinner rolls and butter. They charge the delivery person that works there a percentage for every single person who uses there credit card when the shop already has a credit card charge for people who use their card. On top of the 4.00$ delivery fee in which the delivery person only gets 2$ of per delivery. Highly disappointed that this pizza place we order from quite frequently did what they did. For sure their food is good. Our order was delivered in a timely manner by the pleasant driver. When we opened the pizza boxes we discovered that both pizzas were incorrect. After looking at the slip taped to the box we noticed they were for someone else. I then phoned the restaurant to let them know. The man on the phone told me that he would contact the driver and have her bring me the correct food, he then hung up on me very abruptly. I then called back to inquire what I was to do with the incorrect order. He told me he was having it remade and delivered to the customer and mine would be redelivered shortly. When the driver came she said she was told to take the pizza back. When asked what she was going to do with the pizza we opened she said that she was told to take the order back from us and deliver it to the correct customer. To Sonia who ordered on Wednesday we did not do anything to the pizza. The fact that this pizza shop redelivered the open food makes us decide that we will NEVER order from here again or recommend them. Our eggplant pizza which is one of our favorites was also missing the red roasted peppers. We are so sad that all of this happened from a place that we ordered from frequently and liked. That raises alarm bells for me, hopefully they really did go and make a new order and didn't send the opened one to the intended recipient. read more

I went to their store to purchase a couple of hoagie rolls. The person who I gave the money to proceeded to wipe his nose with his hands then reached inside of the bag where the rolls are kept and started pulling them out as if to give to me. That was really rude and trifling behavior especially in the food industry. I do hope that the local food inspectors read this. read more

Ok... totally not a karen. But I'm this order took over an hour to come. I called to check on it, thinking I may have put it in for pick up instead of delivery. Guy said it was on its way. 10 minutes later... it came ICE COLD and totally Undercooked pizza with bacon cheese fries that a toddler could have made- fries with a huge glob of cold cheese wiz with a big blob of bacon thrown on!!! I'm new to working in the area and needed a lunch of some sort. I did not feel like driving my car so I decided to go for a stroll. Tip: there was plenty of parking in front of the store which is in some sort of a small strip mall. The store is extremely clean and neat. You can see in the back and where they prepared food was very neat and orderly too. I ordered a veggie burger platter. I know you are thinking really? From a pizza store. But I've been trying to cut down on meat. The platter was about 9 bucks. Not bad for lunch. They also have a selection of desserts and bottled drinks all ready to go. I got my food to go. The gentleman at the counter was friendly enough. My veggie burger(garden burger variety) was very good. The lettuce tomato and onion that accompanied it are fresh and fries are cooked perfectly. We gave them a try through GrubHub tonight. I generally liked what I ate. The pizza is Greek style with a soft and chewy crust. I loved the cheese blend they use, but I tend to like a little more sauce flavor. I ordered mild wings. The wings they served had sauce that brought tears to my eyes. I don't hate spicy food, I just wasn't expecting it. They were pretty good overall. My wife got the Ziti Arribiatta. Good flavor and they give you a ton. Sausage was spicy, again spicier than expected. The salad looked and tasted like it had some stale lettuce though. Overall it's a decent Delco pizza joint. BEWARE....!!!!! This place is not doing COVID requirement as far as health and safety. NONE of their employees wear MASK!!! The drivers,cooks,managers or front register people had a mask on!!! I was in SHOCK!! They could have at least put one on when people came in but NOPE!! I had to leave my food and walk out!! I was also pissed because I asked about mask and the young lady in the front said we don't wear mask here. I found that to be incredibly disrespectful to not take the pandemic seriously or follow the guidelines. My clinic decided to treat us to a meal of anything off the menu! It felt great to choose my own options but between my coworkers informing me that half of their platters weren't available and then received a unseasoned and flavorless Shrimp & broccoli Alfredo with a mushy and Gray Crab Cake I broke it open and it was a scary site of mush and crumbs of imitation crab. Just another average pizza place in Delco.. Marathon is located near the Drexel Hill Junction on Garrett Road. The prices are relatively cheap compared to other pizza places in the area. The food didn't take long to make,10-15 minutes max, and it wasn't too bad tasting. However, I ordered a BLT. So, it doesn't take much to make this. If a pizza shop can somehow mess up a BLT, they should not even be in business. Nevertheless, Marathon did a fine job. Again, there is nothing remarkable about Marathon to me. If I am nearby and need some food quickly, I would surely come here again. read more

I ordered an x-large pizza 1/2 mushrooms 1/2 pepperoni about a month ago, pizza was pretty good. So I thought I would try another x-large plain pizza 3 days ago, I really think Marathon had a pizza sitting around and reheated the pizza, because the cheese was overcooked and not enough sauce. I won't order there again. I hate it that pizza places don't use enough sauce and re-heat pizza, it always turns out overcooked. I should have made them make me fresh pizza. Business brought me literally right across the street from the Marathon. I pull up Yelp and see good ratings. I'm hungry. It's lunch time. I love Pizza and what's better than a slice of good pie? I pop in to get a plain slice and a diet soda. The splice pie isn't done yet so I wait 8-9 minutes. The result? A multi-color cheese slice that falls apart when folding. Not thin crust or crispy. I love their VEGGIE PIZZA! Comes with a mountain of veggies, and they are always very accommodating when i swap the olives for spinach. The crust is tasty albeit a bit too greasy hence the 4 stars. Still, for around here it's a great pie. I also have tried the chicken fingers with honey mustard and 9/10 times they have been awesome too. 1 time the pieces were a bit small and got hard from the frying. Had to drop a star. We order from here weekly, sometimes several times a week. I will need to find a new neighborhood favorite spot. The deliveries started arriving later and later, until not arriving at all. The straw, my husband had to be up at 4am for work and we both already worked late and submitted an order just before 8:30pm and at some point, my husband apologized to me and said he had to get some sleep. I called the shop before and was assured that the order was on it's way, another 10 to 15 min later and still nothing. I called the shop again and was told that they never received the online order. A flat out lie. Why confirm an order is on the way, if you never received it. We must have spent atleast $250 or more there this month alone. No apology, no value of customer service. Very disappointing. I'm going to search for a new favorite shop that will offer great food and timely deliveries. read more

Wow! We ordered food from here for the first time and the food is very delicious. You have to try the Chicken Florentine Stromboli. It's oh so good. We will definitely be trying other food from the menu. They have a larger selection to choose from than other pizza places. read more

The food here is usually pretty good and I always have a good experience here. Today was a little different. I walked in for a pick up order and see the cook (without gloves) biting his nails and on his phone. He then begins making a salad and grabbing all the ingredients with his hands. I then ask someone (who appears to be one of the owners) if it was possible for him to wear gloves when making my salad and he replies no but he could wash his hands. I settle for him washing his hands which would have been sufficient for me from the start. Idk if the staff are aware of the many germs rooted inside of his fingernails along with on his phone and I just didn't appreciate that nor the way the manager handled that situation without even apologizing. read more

I love Marathon's pizza. I have been hooked since my first bite. Even though I live a few towns over and have to pass quite a few pizza places to get there it is always worth the drive. Although I'm hooked on the pizza I have also tried their cheese steaks which are also good. The place, although small, is always clean and doesn't have that greasy gross smell some pizza places have.
