Really great spot in Delray. The food was super fresh and well-seasoned. The staff was friendly and very attentive. Watching them prepare the food I could tell they do it with love and care. I just love to see family owned businesses flourish. Next time I'm in the area I will make a point to stop in. Wish you guys much success. Thank you! görüşürüz!

As soon as we walked in we were greeted by friendly staff. The restaurant was nice and very clean. We ordered the smoked baba ghanoush as an appetizer, it was smokey and delicious. Next, I ordered the falafel platter and my husband had the mix grill platter. Both were fresh and incredible. There was so much food we were able to take it home for another meal.

Small restaurant with big flavors. We tried the gyros and were only able to finish half. Try their lemonade. Then dessert. Family friendly Turkish restaurant. When you go, parking is usually available in the strip mall. BYOB.

We stopped here for lunch. They've been open about 3 months per the manager. We didn't realize that they're related to the Marash restaurant in Hallandale -- where we had been more than four years ago -- until one of our fellow diners mentioned it. There's lots of free parking in the lot outside the restaurant. It's a busy shopping center. The Turkish food here was very good. We shared their mixed appetizer with hummus, babaghanush, tzatziki, and grape leaves. And wedges of thin pita bread. We requested some sumac (lemony salty red spice) and put it on everything. The hummus was creamy and the babba eggplant was chunky and smokey. Since there were only two rice stuffed grape leaves, they disappeared fast. I left the tzatziki for my husband. After a bit of mixing and matching, we added a side order of gyro meat. That made all the combos even better. We also enjoyed a couple of glasses, each, of Turkish tea. And for dessert, we tried their Turkish ice cream dusted with pistachio bits. The ice cream is made from goat milk and very creamy. My husband got to speak a few words of his Turkish (from many years ago in Ankara) and we got to have an enjoyable Middle Eastern lunch. Lots more on their menu to try in this small restaurant.

A nice lunch stop here and a chance to brush up some on my Turkish! We ordered a combination platter, gyro meat, chai and for dessert some Turkish ice cream with pistachio sprinkles. Food is delicious and service is friendly and helpful!

Service was incredible. All of the staff was so friendly, attentive, and kind. The food was delicious! We ordered many items to share for the table, including the mix appetizer, beytuni, Turkish ice cream and baklava. Everything is made fresh and in front of your eyes. It was so nice to finally be able to have some delicious Turkish food in the area. The ambience is casual and great for a quick bite, they also offered to go and catering. The ice cream was so delicious. I think we will be returning here a lot throughout the summer thr.

New Turkish Restaurant Alert!! Very nice family-owned restaurant in Delray! Everyone was super welcoming and they had authentic doner and dessert options. I loved the taste of doner, the platter had plenty of food: rice, salad, doner, yogurt sauce and bread. Really great value for the price. The dessert and ice cream were both delicious, definitely worth a try. If you are in the area this place is great for lunch/dinner and they have vegetarian options as well!

I can't wait to return for the most amazing dessert imaginable!! Kataif (the curly phyllo dough) filled with huge pistachios and honey - and accompanied with Turkish ice cream is beyond delicious! Add a side of baklava and you will be quite satisfied!! Lovely management- family owned makes a difference!

Service was amazing. The staff is very welcoming and making sure you get the best experience. Ayran, smoked baba ghanoush were really good. I liked the lamb chops. Döner tasted good, it might be a little drier and thicker slice than döner at other places in the area. That was the only thing. But if you are used to shawarma cut, this is actually a better choice for you! Depends on what you like.

The Delray branch of Marash is a streamlined offshoot of the original Hallandale location, offering a tighter menu that puts the spotlight on Doner Kebab, Lamb Chops, and Chicken. While the breadth of options is scaled back, the kitchen clearly knows what it does well--and sticks to it. We started with the mixed appetizer platter featuring Babaghanoush, Hummus, and Tzatziki. Of the three, the Babaghanoush stood out with a pleasantly smoky depth; the others were serviceable, but forgettable. The hummus in particular was bland and lacking tahini--something the owner acknowledged, noting that Turkish recipes traditionally use far less than their Arab counterparts. A spicy red pepper dip is available on the side, though, and it's a great addition--either to liven up the hummus or as a bold complement to the kebab. The falafel is a premade product--not house-made--and frankly, not worth repeating. The real draw here is the Doner Kebab (listed simply as "beef" on the menu), which is a house-made blend of halal beef and lamb. You can get it as a traditional platter with rice and salad, as Iskender (topped with tomato sauce and yogurt), or in the Beytuni style--wrapped in lavash with a drizzle of both sauces. I lean toward the Iskender version for its bolder tomato flavor, but regardless of presentation, the Doner is excellent: tender, well-seasoned, and deeply satisfying. If you're in Delray or Boynton and craving Turkish fare, this spot is a (slightly) closer alternative to CITIR in East Boca--and a very good one at that.

I usually ate here at least twice a month or more for six years. And brought guests constantly . The food was always well prepared and at a reasonable price. The owner was always very friendly. BUT I will never again go back to Sofra after my experience last night. Last night I went with a couple of people that I had raved about this restaurant to. The owner, who certainly must've recognized me from the countless times I've eaten there in five years, barely grunted at me and the vibes I got from him were not very welcoming. He seemed really angry about something and was taking it out on his customers. There was only one other table that had customers and this was a Friday night. I found that really odd because other restaurants surrounding Sofra had lots of people sitting outside eating at their restaurants I ordered a falafel plate and others at our table ordered the İskender and another entrée. I practically passed out when I got the bill because I guess I didn't check the prices when I was ordering. The falafel plate, which was basically a spoonful of salad, a spoonful of rice, a few hard burned falafel, soup and a dribbling of tahini was $33. This is obscene. When this restaurant first opened they were charging for the same plate $15 and then they went to $25 after a few years which I thought was pretty high for the food we were getting but $33 is just plain greedy. I won't even do a review on the other two entrées because my party could barely eat them. I now see why there was nobody, literally nobody in this restaurant on a Friday night. And the owner, what happened to him? he used to be such a friendly guy and now he is just an angry man. The waitress never went back to check on us and refill our water after taking our order. Despite only two tables with customers in this restaurant. I read some of the reviews where owner says he hates the fucking country so why doesn't he just leave? There's plenty of really good Mediterranean restaurants that are not going to charge this kind of money for Mediterranean food. Even if the felafel was the best falafel I've ever eaten in my entire life - $33 is crazy. And it was not very good felafel - in fact all the food is mediocre. Where it once was amazing. So my suggestion to the owner is to lower his prices, improve the quality of his food and improve his attitude

My favorites of the entire meal were the manti (Turkish dumplings) and the chicken soup. The manti were small beef dumplings served in a delicious tangy yogurt sauce with some sort of spicy oil on top. They were very filling. The chicken soup was rich, with chicken, carrots, celery and parsley. It had a nice lemon note as well. The entrees - the kabab and the guvec - were hearty and had good flavor. The guvec was really hot (temp wise) because of the clay pot. Kunefe rounded out the meal. Could have used a bit more nuts but otherwise great. Great little spot for dinner!

What stood out is the simplicity of the menu, the quality ingredients and the perfected seasoning of the meats, rice, vegetables and dessert. My beef/lamb wrap was light, crunchy and full of flavor.
