    Foul

Super warm and welcoming interior. Got the foul and the malawah, with adeni tea. The foul came out still bubbling- and the flavor was rich and aromatic. The malwah was GIGANTIC and delicious- didn't think I'd finish the whole thing, but it made the perfect dipping apparatus for the foul, with the black sesame making it delicious on its own. The adeni tea was also perfectly spiced and helped to wash down everything. A wonderful brunch that left me feeling energized- I'll be back again.

It felt like you were at a family member's house. Yet, the food wasn't good to us. The Mac and Cheese and greens were horrible. The place needs updating. The Red Velvet Cheesecake was ok.

After waiting to get in it took 40 minutes to get our food if not longer. We got a few things 1. Fried chicken - it was good, crispy and juicy 2. Ribs - we hated these they were drenched in sauce. I would prefer sauces on the side. It ruined them and they were on the tough side. 3. Rice and gravy - enjoyed this 4. Spaghetti - it wasn't bad but it wasn't good either. Had a strange aftertaste 5. Spicy cabbage - it was not spicy it was sweet and gooey and it was not good 6. Cornbread - a bit burnt for our liking 7. Lemon pudding cake - this was decent but also overly sweet. By the time we left the staff warmed up to having people there. They also charged 2 dollars for water which I thought was not okay. Water should be free at any restaurant. We paid 6 dollars for koolaid as well which is very high but it was good. Our entire bill was 46 and I feel like for what we got it wasn't a good deal. The restrooms were disgusting. I am not sure if I would be back. I was really looking forward to this place but I'll stick with chef Paul's.

Holy moly. My grandma used to come here and I just didn't see why. I need to apologize to her. We…read moreordered several beef berrocks, a chicken pot pie, two deli salads and a cherry pie to split and every bite was amazing! The deli counter is where you make your order and there's a small sit down area if you dine in. We had a fun time just relaxing and trying each other's items! I can't believe I skipped this treasure for so long!

I had three items off their menu, the patty melt, chicken pot pie, and the shredded roast berrock…read more The patty melt was the least offensive thing I ordered, being just alright. it was a bit overcooked at the edges, so the crust had a burnt taste. Patty and onions were decent. Pot pie was edible, but not great. The whole thing was dry, and the crust is a quickbread crust instead of a pie crust, which made it worse. They try to make up for it by giving you an extra serving of gravy on the side, but if you know your food is dry you should fix it instead of putting a bandaid over it. The Berrock was the absolute worst. I bit into it and it just tasted like salt. I thought maybe it was a fluke so I got into the meat portion of it and took another bite. Pure freaking salt. It's like someone decided salt is the only necessary seasoning for their food. I couldn't even taste the flavor of the meat itself over the taste of salt. I ended up throwing it away after two bites. If the best this shop can do is "it's okay" then I've zero reason to come back.
