The family that runs this restaurant have been doing the same menu for 10 years, and it's as popular as it's even been. Don't be put off by the location in Bondi, it's not an icon for tourists, more like a hidden gem shared between many locals who have loved it for generations. The food is absolutely great, and the prices are reasonable for the location, and service experienced. Vegan factor: 5.0 stars 4 veggie options which I'm pretty…read moresure can all be modified vegan. Pretty interesting combos like the Rumble in the Jungle with pumpkin and green peas, the Popeye Power with hummus, and the Happy Daize with vegan ricotta. They have salads as well but I was too distracted by having more than one vegan option! Food: 4 stars Definitely an experience. Hummus on a pizza, check. Vegan ricotta, check. Deliciousness galore, check check. I had the Popeye Power and subbed the vegan ricotta for the mozzarella. I've never had hummus on a pizza before and was a welcome change. Loved the brininess of the olives w/ the acid of the lemon wedge. The ricotta rounded it out and melded w/ the creaminess of the hummus. Repeatability: 5.0 stars Great for both vegans and meat eaters. However, I don't think it's possible to request for half vegan/half meat pies. It was near closing time when we dropped by and I didn't see any vegan pies out so had to order a whole one. Disclaimer: it takes about 15-20 mins. The pie is b/w a standard U.S. med and large. This place was the only pizza joint in the area that actually stayed open as they stated online. Major plus as we went to three others. It was meant to be. They let us eat at the counter while they cleaned; they even continued to take slice orders. The folks were super nice and the cashier lady (I should have gotten her name) was incredibly helpful.
