If they are out of a particular one at the window, just ask, they will bake a frozen one, which may take 5-7 minutes. I've also tried their carne and pollo empanadas which are also great but the three mentioned above are my favorites. I love that they put the empanadas in labeled sleeves so you actually know which is which! I've been to places that just stamp a letter on the crust, and half the time you can't even read it. This way is much easier especially when you're ordering a bunch of them like me. They are easy to eat on the go or grab a table at either end of Oxbow Market. Don't forget to get a side of their Chimmichuri sauce for $1.50. The sauce really completes the empanada! The staff is always friendly, helpful, and happy to make recommendations if you can't decide. Also, the fan in the Pastry shop looks like it has not been cleaned in 10 years. The employee handled dirty plates with the same gloved hand that he then used to continue making our food.
