I've tried Buenos Aires Grill several times; they show up at the Saturday Midtown Farmers Market in Sacramento. I've tried their steak sandwich and their Empanadas. I liked the steak sandwich: the bun was soft and the steak was tender and flavorful. But, their Empanadas are the stars of the show. I've tried their Breakfast Empanadas, Shredded Chicken Empanadas, and Ground Beef Empanadas. All are tasty and that dough has a slightly chewy texture that I really like! Oh, and they include a small container of chimichurri sauce with the sandwich and Empanadas - it's really good! Folks who work there are nice and friendly!

Food in the Hood - WestPark Wednesday [Roseville] The menu looked good and I saw that they had empanadas. I've never had Argentine empanadas before not even when I visit San Francisco at the Ferry Building where I've heard about El Porteño. I ordered ground beef empanadas (they also offer them in shredded chicken and veggie flavors). I've had other versions of empanadas before. We have our own version in the Philippines and I've also tried Latin American empanadas but not Argentine. The pieces were smaller in comparison to what I'm used to but it had excellent blend of flavors and crunch, inside was generous on the meat. Rich and delicious. It was a little too salty for my taste but, otherwise, excellent. Anyway, I took my empanadas home and it was like "gone in 60 seconds." Kids got to it. I'd like to try their Milanesa Sandwich next time... looking forward to their return to Roseville. Instagram: @BuenosAiresGrillSac Review #2601

Veggie empanadas

Argentinian Food Truck. The veggie empanadas were light and crispy, it comes with homemade chimichurri sauce. The sandwich was a classic with layers of steak, tomatoes, lettuce and chimichurri with a grilled bread. I ended up buying a jar of the sauce for $10. Excellent flavors.

Beef empanadas

Delicious empanadas and sandwiches. The chimichurri is very flavorful and helps to balance out the richness of the ground beef empanadas. The chicken sandwich was simple but very well executed. The food came out quickly and paired great with a beer at SacYard. The portions aren't huge for what you pay but the food is fresh and very well seasoned.

They ran out of beef. Then we waited for 50minutes for our order of messy fries and a chicken sandwich. Others were waiting even longer.

Visited the food truck at a local brewery. Good empanadas but not a great value. Service was average.

At 8:15 reservation time, our party was the lone group in the restaurant. I feared this place was no good and almost did not go in. We were greeted with semi semi bored, semi relieved staff... Over all food is ok and 10 glass of wine unbeatable. I do think that server training should be improved. We were asked for food orders before starting with drinks which I thought was interesting. We got our food with no utensils... those little things. Oh by the time we were done with dinner, a few more patrons came.... That's good for the restaurant.

The menu called to us (we were hungry and it also boasted $5 glasses of wine!). The hostess seated us right away even though we didn't have a reservation. We got an excellent spot outside on the promenade with a beautiful river view (on a Saturday night close to 8pm). We ordered the olives and lamb sausage to start. The lamb sausage was in a red sauce and was so tasty and well prepared. For my main I got the milanesa napolitano with a side salad (instead of fries). The cutlet was huge and I loved every bite of it! I'm only in Napa for a few days so was happy we stumbled across this one-- I recommend this spot if you like meat and you're pretty hungry!

The service of the tall gentleman with the beard (I wish I got his name but didn't) was absolutely superb. From recommending food options to ensuring we were well taken care, the service was fantastic. The overall aesthetic was easy on the eyes and tables weren't too close together. When you enter inside and either eat indoor or out, I felt like we were in a typical restaurant you find in Europe with how the decor takes you in a different place that you aren't in the USA . Service - 3 stars. For it being a Saturday night with reservation, they were busy. Our waiter was nice but he often wasn't around to check on us. In fact, after we finished our meal, we asked for a dessert menu which was later brought to us, he didn't come to get our order and in fact, it was a good 20 mins before I got someone walking around to get our dessert order. Food- 5 star Ordered the steak and risotto. Simple dish of those two items. The steak had a bbq grill unique taste and a good umami that I would say was the first time I've experienced in all the steaks I've had. The flan dulce de leche was good . Small size good for 2. Very sweet Birthday execution - 1 star. Put on the reservation that we were celebrating my wife's 38th birthday and was completely ignored. There were others there who also had birthdays and they would play on the speaker a happy birthday song to the birthday person....sadly wasn't done with my wife and her dessert.

Good to see you again Tanguito…read more I had the skirt steak with fries, and those fries were seriously good. Thick-cut, crispy, flavorful, and easily some of the best fries I've had in San Francisco. I could have eaten a whole second order. The skirt steak came medium. They didn't ask for a temperature, and I normally eat my meat rare, so I was a little nervous. But it was still juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. Argentina knows its beef. And then there's the owner, who made the experience even better. He was genuinely kind, and we ended up having a great conversation about his garden, his house in Buenos Aires, and his country Argentina. That kind of personal connection is something you don't always get when you're grabbing lunch. Great food. Great prices. Very welcoming. They've been here since 2008, and yesterday happened to be their anniversary. Happy Anniversary, Tanguito! I'm coming back for the choripán next time. That one is already on my list. A little food truck, a little Argentina, and some seriously good fries.

Why 5 stars? Because despite a few non-ideal circumstances, it was very worth the visit…read more --- --- --- After eating lunch nearby, I had one final stop to make here for coffee and dessert, before I headed to SFO. The issue is that I was definitely pushing it on time if I planned on making my flight. As I was driving here, I had the thought that if there was an annoying parking situation or a line, I would just have to pivot and forego patronizing. But as it turns out, there was one spot available right next to the front door and no one inside. But then when I requested a nitro, the owner (I assume?) was extremely apologetic that their coffee machine broke. I asked for a few alternate types of coffee, but it turned out said machine controlled it all. So we shifted to the pastries. I read on the website that they had something with guava, so I asked for two of those: one for me, one for the wife. He even offered to heat mine up, which I will say yes to 100% of the time. I then jumped back in the car and was back into "don't' miss your flight mode." Of course, when you're in a hurry, you manage to hit every red light along the way, so I was doing a lot of yelling at electricity and God. But then I figured I might as well take the time to try the pastry that I'd originally planned on eating on the plane. As it turns out, it brought me into a nearly immersive experience of zen. The only bad thing is that I devoured it within seconds and then it was merely a thing of the past. My wife is fortunate that I have the amount of integrity that I do because I am sitting on the plane as I write this and I could easily inhale that 2nd pastry with her being none the wiser. If you're reading this, wife, remember that you hit the spousal lottery.

It arrived hot, fresh and moist. The chicken cutlet was lightly breaded with just the right seasoning. The crinkle cut fries were a bit soft, but held together pretty well.
