The service was great, they take credit cards with chips, and the selection/prices were unbeatable. The interior is cozy and classic, with a large buffalo head perched above the bar. While bar service is only downstairs on slow nights, I highly recommend sitting upstairs where there are several small tables with benches hanging from the wall. The tables overlook the bar area below. Contrary to a previous review, while the music and atmosphere can become loud on the weekends, we never had an issue hearing each other in conversation. They played great music throughout the night. Overall, cafe Bizon is highly highly recommended as one of my favorite bars visited throughout my travels. Great beer, great prices, great people, great music, great interior, and overall great time.

I liked the batter they used for my fish. It was crunchy and slightly on the thicker side. The fish was seasoned well. The chips were also good, but nothing to write home about. A friend told me this was a good place to hang out for a few hours in between work things. He was totally right. They had 20--30 beers on tap with a focus on local and good sour Belgian beers. I had at least one Cantillion while I was there. I also had a hefty afternoon snack of the charcuterie plate while I was there. I'd definitely come back. My only regret is that I was there by myself and thus couldn't drink as many different beers as I would have liked. The service was also incredibly fast, friendly and spoke perfect English.
