We spent new years day (night) here and it was the perfect activity with what felt like the longest day! There was plenty of open lanes and we enjoyed being on 34-35. It was only $35 a couple for 90 minutes, which is a great deal. I wish got photos, but we had the garlic knots, cheeseburger, and hawaiian pizza, and everything was great, not a crumb left. The screens behind the lanes are brand new and it was so cool to see the different vignettes before they put on the football games. Really nice place to play and the staff is generally friendly. The only problem i would have is accessibility to open bowling. They are extremely busy, and they are constantly full of leagues and reservations, so you need to call ahead before showing up. read more

We visited on a Sunday afternoon for a family outing. Scheduling a lane was fairly straightforward. The bowling alley was clean. It was what i expected. We went for the bowling, but all I can think about are the tasty snacks. I highly, highly recommend the lemon pepper wings. We went back for a second helping. The fries were good, the mild wings were also worth a visit. Back to bowing, we appreciated access to the light (7 pound) ball behind the counter, smooth lanes and friendly service for our party of 30 on a Friday night. We took a group of 70 middle schoolers to Maplewood for a field trip. They were so accommodating and organized. The kids had a great time!

Our family celebrated Xmas late this year and I decided to treat them to something FUN than buy useless stocking stuffers and eat the same old ham. So I booked a bowling package Package included 2 hrs of bowling, shoes, a large pizza and pitcher for $75. Thanks to Ben checking into our reserved lane on a Sunday was a breeze. Booked exactly what was promised and we got started promptly The things I didn't really care for was the cramped lane tables, the atmosphere and the food. This alley just doesn't seem to have the most efficient set up as tables were tiny and we were very close to the other lanes with little room for storing our personal items. The music was too low and wasn't your basic pop 40 that gets people grooving at the ball return haha. A little Katy Perry woulda been appreciated or somethin !! The food was pretty mediocre at best. I know it's a bowling alley but the nachos were pretty bland overpriced and the chicken didn't seem even cooked that day. The pizza looked decent but hard to mess up a 1 topping. Got funnel fries and they were also passable but barely touched. I'd call this a bowling alley for serious bowlers. Or id change this up to Cosmic bowling for better music lighting and extra beer so no one notices the food btw the Elves won :( read more

Maplewood Lanes is a great place to bowl. Last few times we have been there it's been clean and the staff is friendly. As for the bowling it's pretty much your typical bowling alley. The bar here is very nice though. Spacious. The outside area with the fire pit is pretty rad. Even on a cold day you can sit out there and enjoy a drink. The snack bar serves up a lot of different food items. Everything from nachos to wings, sandwiches and pizza and everything in between. Must say we will be going back! read more

I work in the customer service industry for years and EVERY SINGLE TIME we come in, the staff is AWFUL. Tonight especially was the worst- The manager gave us snarky remarks when I went up to ask questions and when I gave input back he threw a fit. I have given this place MANY- honestly too many chances thinking "hey maybe they are having a bad night." Maplewood is one of the nicest bowling alleys in the area. While the exterior might suggest a well-worn old school alley that still touts the lingering smell of cigarette smoke, this is not the case. You walk in a you're welcomed to a bowling alley that is 100% up-to-date with all the latest bowling tech. From spacious queue areas, a large and comfy lounge and a kitchen that operates much more like a fast food joint that a greasy alley diner. They even play music/music videos of all the latest pop hits. That all said, Maplewood is often bustling with activity nearly every evening and night of the week, whether it be leagues and/or friends and family getting together to throw some rocks. Bar prices ain't cheap, either. A pint of Sam Adams IPA was upwards of $6. read more

This is my favorite place to bowl in Omaha. Tuesday nights and Sunday nights are my favorites. There is Retro bowling with beer and bowling specials. On "Sin" Sunday nights, there is $10 unlimited bowling from 9:30 til midnight and $8 unlimited draft beers. Great place, super busy on a Saturday night but that was expected. Snack bar has a big menu and was very quick to get us our order. Bar is great and didn't mind our daughter sitting in there with us while we waited for our lane. Shoes seemed new and clean. Only complaints were that by the time we left (10:30) most of the bathroom stalls were out of toilet paper, and the arcade could use some better games. Individuals at the food counter less than friendly and even talk badly about customers while other customers are waiting. A reservation was made for 2 lanes, but upon getting to Maplewood Lanes we were told we had to wait an extra 30 minutes. After 30 minutes we were told one lane would have to start 1 hour before another and we ultimately had to cancel the birthday celebration. The one redeeming factor is that a refund was issued along with a couple free bowling passes. Ultimately pretty disappointed with the service even after repeatedly giving this business a try. read more

Well, it wasn't great. Would have been much better if we made reservations for a lane, except they don't do same day reservations and we didn't decide on bowling until the day of. We arrived and they said it would be an hour wait possibly more tho, and there's two people waiting in front of us. Ok, we decided to wait even with a toddler with us, they have TVs, games, and a bar. So after an hour of waiting we started to get a little agitated because there were between 4-6 lanes open at a time not being used, that weren't broken. They would be unoccupied for 30-40 min so we decided to ask, why can't we just get one of those. They explained that they were reserved and we could use them but we would have to be done even if our game wasn't finished when the reservation arrived. I do understand this but I feel like here could have been a more efficient way to do this than to leave lanes open for long periods of time like instead of reserving specific lanes just fill up the lanes as the people come in, and give the people with reservations the next open lane. Or something, but what do I know. Anyway an hour passed and still nothing, waiting almost 2 hours they finally say there is a lane open and we can have it once the other people leave. But then they never left. So finally they put us on a reversed lane instead of leaving it open for 40 min and gave the people with the reservations the next open lane which was the one we were supposed to get but would have had to wait another 30 min for it. Which was no problem because the reservation wasn't for another 40 min. They also had a really bad selection of balls, which I'm sure had to do with the fact they they were really busy and all the good not too heavy with big enough finger hole balls got taken first. Food was nothing special, and just expensive. All in all, we won't be bowling last min again. read more

Took our Daughter who is almost 2 here for her first time bowling. Wonderful experience. They had shoes in her size, a ball that she could almost carry and even bumpers so she wouldn't have gutter balls. She had so much fun! The staff is super helpful and friendly. To me, this place is your typical bowling alley. Our daughter's school has an outing here once a year so kudos to them for managing that craziness. For the chaotic nature of so many children arriving at the same time, they do a great job managing that. I would say the equipment and facility in general is in average shape. When I first walked in, it appeared to be a typical bowling alley. It was a bit cold. I've noticed this is usual when I go here. Just ask and they will turn the fan off near your lane. The food was decent for bowling alley food. It did take 20-30 minutes to receive my fries. That's pretty long given it doesn't take that long to cook fries. Once I got them, they were just what I needed to satisfy my guilty pleasure of fried foods. I would give this place 4 out of 5 starts. Atmosphere is welcoming to large groups, they have plenty of tvs and music playing to entertain most people. I took my inside sales staff here to bowl on Friday afternoon as employee appreciation. It is a very nice place, and you could even use the word clean to describe it, which seems uncommon for bowling alleys. Their outdoor patio is superb with big fire pits and comfy chairs. I went to Maplewood Lanes with some friends when I first came here and was so impressed it will be the only place I go for Bowling and a great atmosphere. When we got there we were greeted by a nice older lady with a big smile and a fun attitude, she got us all set up and it was great. The lanes are well maintained and there was a good selection of balls and shoes. The thing that impressed me was the helpfulness and friendliness of the Staff. The General manager "Jeanne"?, I think was around all evening smiling and chatting with us and everyone else she ran into, seemed she just wanted to make sure we were having a good time. While we were there I could see the place was popular, there was a large private party down at one end and when I asked , I was told they were a private Banquet group having a Bowling Party in the Large Banquet room that was at one end of the place. We spent the evening and after bowling went into the lounge and I couldn't believe that on a cold winter night in Omaha I could go outside and be around a huge fire 8-9' pit and 2 72" outdoor Plasma screen TV's. I think that should give you an idea that this place deserves to be recognized and patronized for the excellent job they do. Butttt there is more, the food great they have an incredible number of choices and a chef on duty preparing gourmet flatbread pizzas as easily as Nachos and Homemade Chicken Tenders. Even the Gal that was working the Snackbar was efficient and friendly. Overall this place is a Gem in the local Omaha scene, you can tell the people care, that matters a lot to me and I think it should to you. read more

absolutely terrible experience here!!!! i came with a big group of my friends and everything was pretty mediocre up until the end when one of the people that worked there was very drunk and being very hostile towards all of us! he was spitting racial slurs in the faces of some of my fellow friends! i know there is a shortage of workers and what not but this is such a terrible look on you guys! i have been coming here for years and the fact you took the workers side over ours(who was obviously in the wrong is extremely disgusting) other workers were no help at all either saying they were gonna call the cops on us and forcing us to leave after we spent sooo much money on food, drinks, and games! is the price of having one terrible employee worth all the backlash u will be getting from our experience! i would honestly recommend anyone to just go spend their money elsewhere, where their money is actually being put to good use and you will be treated so much better! absolutely disgusted in maplewood lanes and their employees!!!! read more

This place is awesome. Everyone that works there knows exactly what's going on. For "bowling alley food" it's great. A little pricey, but, totally getting the bang for your buck.
