Had a semi-large group tonight of 7. The food was absolutely wonderful, from the bread, French onion soup and salad, to the pasta, steaks, and chicken, and top of of with the deserts. Got engaged yesterday outside of the restaurant!!! Before hand I met with the casino PR Director, who introduced me to the manager Robert. Robert was amazing to work with from start to finish!!! Recommended the champagne and had it already chilled and ready to go when we came in. Took us to the table directly and seated us. Our waiter Joel was hilarious and very personable. Food was off the charts AMAZING, she had the king crab dinner, I had the Twin Tail. Had another bottle brought over, and gave us a special dessert. Was us and another couple, when Joel brought over the bill, he said that it was all taken care of!!!! We will eat here every time we come back (usually 1-3 times yearly), and highly recommend!!!! read more

This place needs a reality check. Had to make a reservation to sit in an empty restaurant. Strange but that's fine I suppose. Dinner started off weak. Ordered an appetizer which was a bit dry and clearly the tortillas are straight out of the package. Flavorless. Soft. And utterly unforgettable. The menu has zero indication of available beverages. The word Ale is in the name of the restaurant. If they have any type of microbrews or a specialty beer available I am still not sure. You'll receive a wine list and that's it. Apparently your server needs to be asked as to what available to drink other than big standard wines. They should probably look into that. Then the real disappointment comes. You order a steak. It won't be cooked right. Order 2 different cuts to the same temp. One was slightly over done. The other was very under cooked. The table beside us had the same problems. Bland food. Zero chance of getting it cooked correctly. By the way it was cooked you can tell they make liberal use of a salamander. One half of your steak will be over done. The other half close to right or severely undercooked. It's apparent no one uses a thermometer to check these steaks. And the whipped potatoes. A curse upon you're palate. Dry. Flavorless. And eerily reminiscent of instant potatoes out of a box. Not a hint of butter or salt. The ambiance is pretentious given the quality of food and the prices. I've had better steaks at national chains. Better service at any local diner. And the prices are alarming given how the dinner went. When confronted with these issues you'll be offered a "complimentary" desert. Utterly forgettable food, poor service. They think they are a Peter Lugers and charge as much when they can't even match a Longhorn chain restaurant. read more

When we showed up, we were told to come back in an hour even tho there were plenty of tables open, so we came back an hour later and they had a hard time finding our reservation, but we were ultimaley seated. We got water right away but waited quite some time before our waitress, who had 1 other table that we could tell, even came over to ask us what we wanted to drink. We waited a long while to receive our drinks. Meanwhile the parties that came in behind us had drinks AND bread. 10 minutes later we got bread. We waited another 15 minutes after that for 2 of the smallest taco appetizers known to man for $24. They were good though. My boyfriend and I both ordered steaks medium well. Mine was medium well in the center but well done around the outside and my boyfriend's was well done around the outside and barely cooked in the middle. The mashed potatoes were bland and honestly tasted like they were from a box but they assured us they were not (although the waitress was unsure). When we expressed our concerns to the waitress she took my boyfriend's steak after we told her not to "throw it back on the grill" because given that we paid $62 for this plate of barely edible food, we certainly did not want it "reheated". But she brought the streak back on the original plate with the original mashed potatoes and green beans, right in front of the chef who came out to talk to us. At this point we had been there for over an hour and a half and just wanted to get out of there and the best they could do to rectify the horrible dining experience was to offer us one of their $12 desserts to go. Not even a discount on the inedible food. Bye bye! We won't be going back there nor will we we recommend it to anyone. Our bill was over $160 for 2 of us for some of the most mediocre food and service we've ever experienced. Very disappointing!! read more

Excellent choice for a nice evening with your significant other. The atmosphere is sophisticated but don't feel like you have to dress up. The menu has some outstanding choices and it ranges in price, but I would say that it's moderate to expensive. Service was outstanding, and we had excellent meals all around for our party of three. Far and away the best food in the north country. We went on Christmas (all of the casino restaurants were open) and were delighted at both the food and the service. Lobster, crab cakes, Ribeye. The seafood was fresh, the sides were incredible, and the steaks were perfectly cooked. read more

Huge disappointment, first of all we had reservations and people that had walked in just before us without reservations were seated before us. When we did get our seats, we were given our menus, told who our waiter was and left for quite some time. We could have been offered a drink considering the wait but, didn't even get water. When the waiter did come he was very pleasant and tried to be accommodating but, we did still sit and wait for quite some time for so much as a drink. Over an hour after being seated (while people around us that had been seated after us had already been served) we finally got our meal. We had both ordered steaks, you could taste charcoal from the grill but, there was no other flavor too them at all. My boyfriend ate his purely because he was hungry, I on the other hand could not bring myself to eat it as the charcoal flavor on my md rare steak was quite gagging. The waiter was told about our complaints, he offered to bring out something else but, honestly, we had just waited over an hour for what we had been given so we declined. After thinking about it when we left I was even more disgusted thinking we paid for a steak that I was unable to eat, they could have taken that part off the bill. So to sum things up, the wait was unbelievable and our flavorless steaks were a huge disappointment considering our previous visits had been amazing. read more
