By far the BEST Farmer's Market I've ever been to! You know why? Because there are actual farmers…read morethere!! I feel like so many Farmer's Markets have turned into flea markets, with way too many vendors selling clothing, jewelry, pyramid scheme crap, and businesses offering crappy give aways in exchange for your contact information. The Yellowstone Valley Farmer's Market has actual farmers selling fruits, veggies, flowers, plants, meat, chicken, honey, baked goods, etc. You know you're truly supporting local businesses when shopping here. Some of our favorite finds so far have been local Ambrosia (peaches and cream) corn, hand made tamales (sold frozen to heat at home), the meat sticks from Ranch House Meat Market, chokecherry lemonade from Burnt Bean Ranch (only $1), the muffins and donuts from Heiko's Bakery, salsa from Kenny D's....and so many more!!! We are also buying beef in various cuts from the local beef sellers trying to decide who we're ultimately going to purchase a quarter cow from as it's important to us to buy local for things like that. Everyone who is selling something is so incredibly nice! They're all willing to answer questions and offer suggestions, and the prices are totally acceptable! It can get crowded, and some vendors run out of food as the day goes on, but everyone shopping is pleasant, patient, and there's no sense of anything but civility and kindness. Having just moved to Billings, it's so nice to add something so wholesome and wonderful to our weekend routine. See you next Saturday!! (It runs until the 1st Saturday in October)
