    Tortoise Chai / breakfast bagel

Fantastic place to get your caffeine fix - especially love the Tortoise Chai! They also have interesting seasonal drinks and tasty breakfast bagel sandwiches (available till 2pm weekdays and noon on weekends). Good study setting and it's downtown location makes it in close proximity to a lot of other events.

First time in Billings, looking for a local coffee shop experience... and hit the jackpot in the renovated part of downtown. I ordered a simple sugar free vanilla late, and it turned out to be one of the BEST cups of coffee I have had outside my own home in a long time. What made it so good? I am guessing the freshness because I noticed there was a gentleman actually slow-roasting coffee beans in the shop, and it seemed the shop was in the process of building a "viewable" portion of the space - similar to how breweries have their tanks behind a glass/plexiglass wall. I asked him if those beans were for tomorrow. He told me the beans were for that morning. And the beans are kept whole until needed and ground as needed. Add to that a delicious orange cranberry muffin warmed up perfectly (not too hot or unevenly warmed) and pleasant & friendly staff AND customers... Rock Creek Coffee is now my go-to 1st coffee stop in Billings, Montana - which I expect to visit many many times over the next couple of years.

Delicious breakfast sandwich and hot chocolate. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere! Love the large windows where you can just enjoy breakfast and watch the outside happenings.

The huckleberry latte was awesome and so was the staff! We are from Colorado and walked here from our hotel!

Some of the best brewed coffee in town. One of the original independent coffee shops in Billings. The owners are very kind and involved, and the location is so convenient for the farmers market and downtown employees. They offer a variety of breakfast foods at reasonable Prices. Nothing too inflated even though they are downtown. I would go here over other coffee places if it was on my way to work every day. Stop by and give them a try! They roast their own beans and do a great job all around. Their featured origins are usually my favorite though.

Double espresso con panna.. coffe smells fantastic. It is on the bitter-sour side so espresso black won't be for everyone.

Great dark chocolate almond milk mocha in downtown Billings! I could enjoy this every morning. Don't miss this place if in Billings.

Better coffee, hipper atmosphere, and cheaper than Starbucks.

Brewed coffee is good and she heated the mug for me before I poured my first cup and refill.

Think of landlines, juke boxes, I love Lucy tv, grandma style kitchen tables with the aluminum base (like old style diners), drive-ins and car-hops and you'll have a general sense of the eclectic style. The employees, likely from the nearby college, are friendly and patient and work quickly to get the orders out. The coffee and non-coffee beverages have been a mix for me: sometimes incredible, other times not so much, but I still like coming here for the atmosphere alone, as weird as they may be for a coffee fiend like me. The food, the couple times I've indulged, is good and there's a nice mix of offerings. This was a gas station previously and the new owners have made use of that with the glass garage doors that open to a nice outdoor seating area and using the front and side for more outdoor seating. They even managed to squeeze in a drive-thru for those eschewing the busier traffic at other coffee shops in the area. Poly's Place, locally owned, is a unique coffee shop in a mostly residential area. It's worth the experience.
