The first thing was the coffee itself, it was not amazing and as someone who often orders the same thing everywhere to judge the coffee itself - I wished for something better; it tasted like tobacco. Because I didn't enjoy the first drink I got, I went back to give it a second chance and wanted to order something else and I was appalled to find out that the person taking my order did not know what a pour over was. I then asked for an cortado and got what they thought a cortado was but was wrong and the coffee still tasted like tobacco. I hoped for something better but the latte drinkers with me said they'd drink it again. On a lighter note, the inside was large and spacious and the workers were kind!

It has a relaxed vibe that makes you want to sit, chat with friends, read a book or anything to keep the crazy away for a bit of time. The seating is comfortable, the decor is light and -- dare I say-- fun. There is a bar with seating, but why do that when there are other seating choices that let you absorb the atmosphere. They also carry some food in the line of bakery items and other light bites. Because it just opened their offerings may expand. With all the usual coffee options, Plush also has an array of soda offerings with typical and not-so-typical flavor combos. All that makes it a favorite of kids coming in with their parents and who also seem excited about the unusual vibe -- at least that's what I noticed in my short visit. I live in NYC and have the opportunity to go to a lot of very good coffee shops and after having a couple of cups here I can confidently say this would be a "go-to" shop if it were in my neighborhood. The owner is really invested in choosing quality beans and we had a lovely conversation about what he was brewing when I was there.
